  • Thoughts on this new handling update? Compared to the previous drift tune this one is way better out of the box in my opinion! There's a lot of techniques to drift in GTA Online but I just wanted to try the most basic to see the difference compared to the old one! :D

  • Tip if you want to fully customize your RX7 however you imagine. You can *buy the auto shop near the fancy shoe store. The down side is you have to steal a highly guarded car to setup the auto shop. But it’s worth it cause then you can get all car customizations unlocked in there, No matter your level.

    • @@orynx2835 If you want to buy an auto shop you can do the setup mission, when it’s completed the cut scenes you call in your car and drive it in the auto shop. This is also the Tuners DLC Shop so be careful and make sure you didn’t accidentally buy the new one. If you can’t figure out how to customize the car it will appear in the left hand corner of which key or button to press.

  • Totally these drift races are like the ones from the modern need for speed games, like Payback And Heat with the scoring and the multiplier, that’s totally a great thing they added for the DLC.

    • ​@clippedbysofixh why does it take no skill? In payback drifting was much better than in heat and the leaderboards on autolog I think it's called, added like a competition feel to it. In nfs unbound drifting isn't great tbf, you could just spin out by touching the curb with your front tire, and the drifting activities in freeroam are so trash because of that "meters in drift" system. I remember fully running dodge charger so could just go from side to side, creating tire smoke which ment I was basically drifting and earning those meters in drift earning 3 stars and beating a rival from one attempt.

  • This new drift handling feels more like the handling editor mod that is used by fivem drift servers. I think they might have used the handling mod as a reference for this new feature hopefully in the future they make it so that all cars can have the drift tuning

  • I truly enjoy where rockstar is going with the car updates. But the drifitng mechanic though, even with the update its still kinda weird and clunky but i guess its something to get used to 😅

  • Hazard, u have to change back to standard or bulletproof tires to get the normal new drift physics, right now you had the new tuning with the old drift tires, thats a bug i noticed

  • Do I need to purchase any DLC to be able to drift in story mode ? Or does this come available in all modes as long as I have the GTA online ?

    • It's only on online mode and all of the dlc is free You can just go to invite only session you don't like other player

  • Rx 7 in my opinion probably one of the better cars for the new drift feature. I’ve tested bout half the cars with said new drift features so far.

    • also the rx7 is more drivable compared to the non drift mode rx7 lmaoo. regular rx7 keeps on spinnning, atleast on drift tuning you can easily control it

  • What a terrible representation of drifting. It reminds me of NFS Underground 1/2 and back in early 2000's it was cool, but this is lame.

    • Yeah GTA 5 hasn't had the best drifting, but this is still miles better than the previous version. I'm also quite bad at it, there's some really good drifters in Online!

  • Drift upgrade converse your car into a plastic brick. They simply removed the weight of the cars, but at the same time the cars had a ton of inertia. It is not possible to fully control this. Knowing where you need to go according to physical laws, but you will never go there. I also noticed that all the other cars have become lighter. The feeling of heaviness of the car disappeared. All that was needed to do was simply allow the cars to rev the engine at maximum speed when the drift began (Usually the engine stopped rev when we drift and we start making donuts).

    • Yeah bro that’s purely just wrong. I held a drift on the test track for more than 10 minutes straight, and it looked fantastic. All you gotta do is get the hang of it which (arguably) isn’t that hard. I have clips to prove it to if you don’t believe me
