    • Genetics definitely play a role as you can have wide clavicles which will give you naturally broader shoulders. You can't really control genetics so don't worry about it. To make your shoulders wider, you need to do exercises that train the lateral deltoid muscle, like lateral raises. You should be doing 8-12 repetitions to muscular failure because this repetition range is best for muscle growth (hypertrophy).

    • Personally I was born with broad shoulders relative to my peers (even growing up in an all boys High school). However, what made all the difference with women visually at least is volume achieved through heavy isometric and in my case bouldering + a bit of gym/swimming. Calisthenics or gymnastics can get similar results. Couple that with a shirt that's slim cut at the pecs and shoulders but wide at the hips, an eye magnet for ladies
