    • @@feedswagpeppa3976 its genre is ballad for most of the songs, any Disney songs can be turned into pop songs, but they originally arent pop songs as they are used in the movies as musical like performance which needs a voice that is equal to musical voice to be able to perfect it in the movie, so none of the Disney songs were pop songs to start with

I spent every night for a year afterward listening to my Little Mermaid soundtrack tape. I went to see the Lion Ling for my 8th birthday party (after a pizza party of course) and it was amazing. My first broadway musical was Beauty and the Beast. First Karaoke song? A whole new world from Aladdin with one of my besties. I think that era of Disney movies was unparalleled. I didn't add a new favorite to my list until Moana in 2016. I can't wait to show my kids all of those magical movies.

The really good singers learned a proper singing technique that aims at improving and not damaging the singing voice. Many pop singers just learn enough to hit the notes and then do things their own way, with very mixed results.

I flat out asked them how they could sing after a concert let alone after years of recordings, sessions, and touring, and your answer was pretty much the same. They learned how to sound wild but professionally and often already had quirks to their voices. The only thing he added was reasonable rest times and never forgetting it was a muscle and so working to keep it in shape. He also noted that in his profession at least... staying away from the drugs and excessive alcohol and mixed drinks. It makes sense too. The ones who made the news such as Whitney Houston at the end her voice broke my heart.

It's kinda racist to think like that. By the way, most professional musical singers live healthy because living unhealthy is unhealthy for the voice and their voice is their basic of work. I think she's just technically good and her voice is more stable and that is what saved her from vocal damage and aging.

  • May I just say, the dude who sings for Sebastian, Samuel E. Wright, was awesome then and he was still belting out that song to the end. RIP, thank you for your gorgeous voice. No one will ever perform Under The Sea like the original.

  • Honestly if I watch Les Mis (10th Year Anniversary) and see Lea and Judy Kuhn I can hear their Disney voices but they're so good that they actually make you separate the pictures of their characters. At that moment, they're Eponine and Cossette and I can't imagine them as Jasmin/Mulan and Pocahontas. But in any other song, they will be❤️
