2023 Volvo VNL 860 with only 700 delivery miles!!! This truck still had parts coming off the assembly line at the end of August. There is still plastic on the carpet!!!!
There are so many upgrades to this truck. The make sure to add comfort to the drivers seat. The seat has so many functions, including 4 different adjustable back settings, back massager and heat. Jumping to the seating wheel you have so many settings aviaible with just a click of the thumb like the radio! The cupholders are also adjustable!
Moving to the back! The dinette is a nice feature. The contour of the cabinets allow to a larger opening to the bed! AND that fridge... its huge!! I could easy fit one week of food if not two!
Hope you have enjoyed this tour! Be careful, stay safe and enjoy the adventures.
thanks for watching.

Thank you!
Lady Jane was the name of my grandfather’s fishin boat, always got us back safe.
Congrats, that is a beautiful truck, enjoy!!
Thank you!
Freightliner also have the option for a table under the bed in their Cascadia's . They have gone about it a bit differently. The lower bunk is a Murphy bed, that swings up against the back wall of the sleeper. And then you just raise the table and flip up the back rests of the seats and your done. I think that's actually a smart solution to making a dining area in a truck. I wish other brands would copy that solution.
I just wasa video of this last week!!! I could only find that one video. It wasn't the best video. I wanted to see more. I think they just came out with it this year. Absolutely agree that evey truck need better options
Cascadias are junk
Wow you truck is really nice ❤️
Awesome video wish i Will drive one
My dream❤️❤️❤️💪
Awesome ...
Im happy for you guys that you finally got an amazing truck! I remember wishing for you guys to get one from the video where your international broke down in front of a TA a few years back! Hope you enjoy it! I love that steering wheel. Currently in a 2023 Cascadia and it is very cheap in comparison. Cheers!
Thanks you for the well wishes, love and support all these years it means so much!!! Allll those break downs in the international were definitely trying! We are reall enjoying this truck. Have they made many changes to the Cascadia? Stay safe and many blessings!
White lightning was my first thought for a name. Looks like a really nice rig.
860💚
That's pretty!
Happy new truck guys . No changes on the cabinets , beds , folding table , fridge .Same like 2007 Volvo 780 . Still love my 2007 780 with Cummins ISX 560 hp and 13 speed Eton. Good luck with all this electronic and sensors around engine.
Awesome
"The white wonder" is my name suggestion
Like from Kazakhstan 🇰🇿

Thank you!
Muy padre camión.saludos desde Guadalajara México Éxitos Julio valdez
see you more coming years amen amen amen
My wife and I drove team in the identical truck in white. We called it "Falcore" from the classic movie "Neverending story"😊 We loved that truck and it took care of us..very comfortable like drivingan huge RV bus..
Volvos are the most comfortable trucks on the market. I think you should call it the marshmallow. ❤
Cheapest crummy interior I'd rather drive a 379 with a small cab to tell the truth at least ill look good lol
Sovereign of Asphalt would be a beautiful name for a beautiful Volvo truck
Love from Rotterdam nl
Hby new year best ever
I think you should name it storm trooper!! Nice truck!! Wish you lots of luck with it!!
Thank you
How much is it? I love this truck!
Presentation of this video was very good
Thank you! We are just 2 drivers trying our best to share our trucking experience with the world. We have no experience in film.
@@SimpleLivin kudos to you both... I have subscribed🙏
Welcome to the family!!!! Thanks for the love and support
I have a 2024 860. How do you turn on the fog lamps? I can never figure it out.
Can't beat an I-Shift,flick it into manual on the big hills
New subscriber, cool video
Welcome to the family!!!
Does the Volvo trucks offer a digital dashboard at all thank you safe travels
I run a extension cord from my inverter to the shore power. I just leave it plugged and have power to those outlets
Cristopher of Saint Cristopher that is patron of drivers and voyagers.
Name it Casper lol very nice
I had the seat dropping button on my 05 fh16, Just an option. I do love the huge cabs on Us trucks. My first appt was not much bigger, no AC!!😂
Where was your first appt? It's tiny living for sure but absolutely do able!
Did you say Volvo is a US truck?
@@SimpleLivin Belgium, and yes I loved it, no excess
@@kingwacky184 this model is, the European models are tiny when you compare
Volvo it's the best on American market, drive on Europe the FH it's amazing truck comfortable to drive to relax quite, just amazing and the best it's the safest truck this is a important, i love you volvo.
🌴☀️this will be my first truck so thanks so so much as a female driver xoxo☀️🌴
You will love this truck as your first truck!!!! I personally love the fridge size and table!!! If you are solo make you bed up top and leave the table up. Wishing you the best! Be safe
Cool video!!!!!! Beautiful woman!!!! Incredible track!!!!!
☺️ thank you for the support and kind words
Does it still steer like it wants to run off the road , or they fixed that issue??
If you want to disable the VADA system (collision avoidance) theres a fuse there on the dash that you can pull and it turns it off. You keep cruise and everything else in the volvo with it disabled as well.
Thanks for the info! Dang thing is beyond annoying
There is another simple way to block it. Take a foil paper the thick one and cover the sensor. Only you will see that vada is blocked. Nothing else is going to happen. It has become a main obstacle in driving, does not allow you to move freely. Choice is yours.
Dont know why, but it looks like it can transform at anytime
I would look up Joel Morrow a driver with plogger trucking , he’s a fuel genius on volvos , getting 12 plus on fuel
Im impressed with your tour just not the truck 😮... ive driven these before and now im going to drive one again for a Fedex contractor just not really my cup of tea but ill have to make it work
These new VNLs are nice. As far as I'm aware, you can still get manual transmissions with the Cummins, but the Volvo automated transmissions aren't bad for OTR stuff. The Shakeliners are terrible, and I wish they had an option for a manual. At least they have automatics, but no companies seem to get them...
Did not know about the plug in behind the drawer thanks
Glad this was helpful
New subscribers. We are also a husband wife team and might be getting one of these ourselves!
Welcome to the open road!! We are really enjoying this truck!!
Vovo😂 would suits it well
White Rooster 🐓 El gallo blanco 🐓 in Spanish
What size tv can you put on that mount?
Engine?
Glad y'all like it, but I hate it. I want my 2020 Freightliner back, but they took it from me and gave me this POS
A nice "Cremino" Truck (It Is the name of a tradizional italians icecream)...really interesting 🤙
Thanks for the info. How in the world do you turn on the dome light?
We use the switches in the front near the radio
What kinda gas mileage are you guys getting??
Иншалах мага дагы насип кылсын
Snow white
Well, it is a Swedish company, so how about Hilde? She is a beauty, congrats!
Great video , we are planning on using the top bunk And leave the bottom set up, you mentioned it Didn’t work you you, would you please give us An idea of problems with the top bunk, and did you figure something that worked better for you were looking forward to getting into our new one Thanks
Since we are teams that run alot of miles our truck is not still very often. The motion of bumps from the road and wind was applied on the top bunk. We could handlenot for more then a few days so we build the Murphy bed. kzhead.info/sun/fsich7Stn5SjgJ8/bejne.html
@@SimpleLivin thanks for the reply, my wife does not drive so we’ll be ok thanks again Keep on Trucking
That's awesome news that you will be able to stop every night. I think leveling the table up while using the top bunk will work well for you guys. Check out our sink with hot water. It really added alot of value to our daily lift especially when it comes to cleaning the dishes!
Name idea “elephant that moves like a cheetah” if you know you know 😂
Step 1-buy carpet. Step 2 -Do not walk into the cabin wearing shoes. It's your living space and you don't need to carry dirt into the cabin. Put your shoes on the step. That's how it is in Europe.
Great looking truck. Congrats! Ghost seems appropriate. Any chance you are comfortable sharing a general price range you guys paid for a 23? Completely understand if no go. Thanks for the vid.
We are blessed and don't make the payment. But it was purchased for $167,000
@@SimpleLivin I’m also going to pay in full. Trucking will be my retirement job
@@SimpleLivin Is that including FET?
Nice truck would love to drive it but don’t get many bullnose trucks in UK/Ireland
Thank you!!! Hello from the States. I would love to visit Ireland one day!!!!
Surprised me there isn't volvo microwave. I have my own built Volvo with plenty added futures sone are typical for winter here in Scandinavia like double glazing everywhere, heated all windows, wiper blades, mirrors, door seals, floors, steering wheel and seats. Water heater and hot air heater, sand boxes for spreading sand in front of wheels, cameras, generator etc
What I drive. My favorite truck. Very comfortable for staying on the road 3-6 weeks. The workstation is my favorite🙂
The interior definitely sets a driver up for so much success! Stay safe out on the road!
How do you or would you keep sheets...pillows...mattress toppers...anything like that on that bottom bunk when it folds up like that? Do you have to make/unmake your bedding each time you want to switch from bed to table? Also how reliable are the volvos? I know i see alot of owner ops runnning them but i also know you see alot of broken down and beat down volvos as well...lol. Right now im looking at possibly leasing a new volvo and i hear great things. I also dont want to go back to a freightshaker...and the Kenworth I have now is nice and smooth to drive but its reliability and build quality is worse than the freightliner. Thanks for any info.
Great questions!!! Be mind full our info is in the context of team drivers, our truck doesn't stop much and one sleeps while the truck is rolling. We personally think the cushions are too hard and uncomfortable to sleep on. As team drivers this table/bed set up doesn't work well. We made modifications to make the bed into a Murphy bed/table. There is a video on it. We do enjoy the Volvo overall, especially the fridge!!! This truck would be absolutely perfect for a solo otr driver!!! Hope that helps. Best wishes!
@Simple Livin Thanks for the reply. Ill definitely check out that video. Stay safe.
That truck should have new turbo compound engine DT-13. What is your fuel mileage ? P.S. If you want to make upper bunk more comfortable, put the memory foam mattress in there. Safe travels.
Fuel mileage really depends if we are pulling a 53 or a set of pups. Also depends on hills or flat land. We get between 5.5 - 8 miles Thanks for the tip about the top bunk. Unfortunately, it still didn't help when we tried that. It would definitely work if we weren't team drivers, though. The truck barely stops. Be safe and many blessings
I named mine black widow
Amazing truck congratulations. Such a amazing lady!
Thank you John!! How have you been?
Hey guys you both doing great I'm also a haul truck driver please keep up the good work lots of love from India🇮🇳
Thank you for the love and support! Stay safe and many blessings
I’m in a 2023 vnl 860. Leather and all. No radars. Yea
Snow White
Снежная королева🤍
Trucky McTruckface comes to mind. Phteven would be a close second for me. Many safe miles!
I think snow white is a good name 🤔
Good idea
You should name it "Pedro"
I will named Trill for the truck and when i grown up i will be a truck driver
Viki the volvo
Very catchy!
Wow, what a difference, i happen to drive her European counterpart,a 2017 FH4 460 globetrotter. I will make a video of if you like. Yeah, I will do that Just to compare them. What engine and box are you running? Looks the same 460hp 13liter as I run. I ha a 12 speed automatic behind it. Keep the shiny side up and greetings from the Netherlands.
I would love to see a tour or your truck!! Once you make it can you please send it to our Facebook or Instagram? It's a 12 speed auto
@@SimpleLivin okay,i do
Nice how does it ride
Really smooth honestly. Huge treat after the International!!
Call the truck " *The White Knight* "
Just curious as I’m thinking about driving with my wife on occasion, why not get a 120” sleeper if y’all are spending so much time in the truck? Sorry if it’s dumb question but I’m just researching and have never driven for a living
Not a dumb question at all! The big reason is typically the big bunks stay out for longer stretch on the road. Typically 3 months at a time. We currently home every weekend, always on Sunday for church
@@SimpleLivin thank you for the reply. My wife has agreed to join me on occasion however she wants comfort in this stage of our life. This will be my career in retirement and wonder if it’s practical to own a 120” sleeper. Does owning such a setup limit what you can haul? Do you have an idea what it’ll cost to add on such a sleeper?
Girl name? Boy name? What's it feel like?? Happy for you two for the upgraded ride. Since it's a Volvo... Victor? Victoria?
Like both those names... hmmmm
@@SimpleLivin or Victory for either boy or girl.
@@lizhartel3740 That sound like a girl name, not a boy. Also truck is masculine at singular in Romanian, just small fun fact.
How much MPG do you get? And what speed do you cruise at? I have the same truck and I’m getting bad milage
On average we go 70 mph and get between 6.2 - 8 mpg. It really depends on load weight, way of the roads. The mountain climbs with heavy loads the less the mileage
I have the same truck and my mpg stays between 6.83-9.12
What part of the country do you drive in? Is the fuel have addictive for cold weather? I know the addictive will bring down milage.
@Simple Livin My company bases out of Wisconsin. December-late Feb. I run freight in the midwest most often frequenting Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, PA, New York with occasional runs to the south. The rest of the year I run entertainment in all 48 and Canada. Most major cities. In the case of the 9.12 I got that on a day where I drove on flat ground through new Mexico. Most often I'd say I float between 6.83- 8.12
Call it snowball
