“This feeling when someone wants to kill you just because you are Ukrainian is an extremely unpleasant feeling. This struggle is very difficult, and we cannot cope alone, we need help.” The works of Ukrainian artist Zhanna Kadyrova are exhibited all over the world. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, she has been involved only in projects related to Ukraine. Kadyrova shows at the level of sensations how Ukrainians live in conditions of war: “If a missile doesn’t come to you, but a siren sounds, it flies somewhere and kills someone, and kills for no reason, kills civilians.” The artist spoke to Present Time about five works from her exhibition Unexpected in Prague.
