I think those of us who are into fragrances greatly exaggerate how many people have certain fragrances. Let's get real, most people don't really wear fragrances and if they do they almost assuredly only own one or two bottles. They also likely aren't dropping 100+ bucks on them. I know one other person in my non-internet life who collects fragrance and even he doesn't have any version Bleu de Chanel. In fact, of the 24 bottles I have we have two in common. I would be shocked if I ever came across more than one person who wears any fragrance I wear, and my collection is, for the most part, mostly mainstream. We are, in reality, a rare group of collectors in the overall grand scheme of things.
I’ve been thinking this for awhile. Most men I know own maybe 3 fragrances MAX. Most of those being gifts.
Yep. I been saying this. Especially if you don't live in a big trendy city like NY or LA.
Also most people aren't fans of niche fragrances, the average man or woman much prefers a cheap or designer level freshy.
Nobody I know cares about fragrances or fragrance collecting.

Ironically, fragrance collecting still seems to be quite a niche hobby. Although some would disagree due to the recent explosion in popularity of fragrance KZheadrs, I’ve seen that collecting colognes, at least as a hobby, has still yet to become mainstream. I own around 20 bottles, which isn’t too much, but I’ve yet to meet someone who not only owns more, but who moreover owns at least one of mine.
i was talking to someone last weekend, i guessed the parfume he was wearing and he asked me if i liked it .. and was like .. yeah , i got 16 bottles, and he was like , oh .. rooky numbers, i have 100+ .. OKKKKAAAAAYYY

ive had maybe 110 fragrances and have widdled it down to a small collection of 15, and i can honestly say the one i miss the most is lacoste lhomme intense. will be getting another bottle soon
Gucci guilty black really impressed me when I got a free sample. It had a really pleasant fresh but also barbershop feel to it.
I picked up eau givree yesterday before I saw any reviews on it cause I liked it so much to the other Hermes lineup especially for summer.

Hey Ash, what's your opinion on Green Leather by Daniel Josier? I'm on the edge for buying it. I've smelled it before and I really enjoy it because it has many levels and it's a very complex fragrance. Plus, I really enjoy the raspberry in it
Italian love is a grapefruit explosion in a bottle. It's basically a very strong, slightly bitter grapefruit scent that projects. It's very powerful with a few extra sprays (curly mode), and is perfect for hot summer days. Excellent juice. ✌️

@@mikekisonu6825 I have eau intense, and that is a very powerful ocean scent. It smells heavily of sea salt mixed with different citrus notes. With a bit of over spraying, it soon becomes very powerful, but too much and it might give you a headache. It reminds me of a day hanging out at the beach, in and out of the ocean, on a very hot day. Italian love is simply grapefruit mixed with bitter grapefruit, and with a twist of grapefruit. It's a grapefruit super scent, and is my favourite. Again quite powerful, and with a few oversprays it's a strong and long lasting fragrance.
@@philjones6054 Yeah, JUST got “Intense” as well, and agree, VERY oceanic. 👍🏼 Seems these most recent flankers are more focused on the CITRUS, as “Forever” is also rumored to have that strong GRAPEFRUIT note as well. 🧐

Suprisingly I actually have quite a few of these. 2022 YSL Y EDT is my most recent pick up and I thought to myself its the perfect Spring/Summer fragrance for me this year.

@@beenheem7590 Parfum definitely smells the highest quality and richest, but I think it loses some of it’s versatility. The EDP hits the perfect middle ground between the freshness of the original and the richness of the Parfum imo, so I think that’s why most people overall seem to prefer it out of the three. The Parfum does slap though, for sure. 🙌🏻
My summer go-to is Bvlgari Aqva Marine Pour Homme. It's unbelievable to me how vividly it reminds me of the ocean. And amazing performance for a freshie
I have it too, but, and I will write the most white-people thing ever now, it is my boating scent. To be worn exclusively when on boats. It's extremely aquatic, not super versatile, I have to say.

Voyage D'Hermes is my favorite summer scent.
Mugler cologne is ok too Nothing crazy but smells clean and you can't go wrong.
Of your top 25, my top 5 are: 1) Prada Lhomme - versatile fresh iris thats soapy smelling making it inoffensive to everyone around 2) TF Grey Vetiver - cleanest Vetiver there is which adds class and elegance to its vibe 3) ADG Profondo - A modernized take to the original which is their take on the blue DNA while still maintaining its oceanic feel 4) JV Artisan Pure - Smooth citrus thats easy on the nose which seems ideal to sport along with all white outfit 5) Versace Pour Homme - this takes a page out of Chanel Allure Homme Sport but somehow being fresher while also not as creamy nor as expensive. Great list Ash!

Chanel Blanche is a masterpiece. This and Dior Cologne, Bvlgari Marine , Encre Noire Sport and Kenzo EDT is my top spring/summer day fragrances..
Marine is sublime. Nothing else like it.

John Varvatos Artisan Blue.... I honestly think its better than ADG Profondo and most other aquatic frags for the high heat!!! If u get the chance to get ur nose on it, do it!!! It literally smells like walking on a beach near the Pacific Ocean!!!

LOVE my Bleu de chanel, but also like azzaro chrome but i think the extreme is better, but i definitely want italian love, YSL Y but not the EDT the EDP, and the intense, but have to get YSL L'Homme. ill give the luna rossa ocean a try again and then id love to get carbon.
YSL Y EDP has some of the best performance of any fragrance in my collection. I'm talking 10+ hours and that's only 2 sprays. I'd recommend it for sure. Smells like fresh laundry and sweet apples.

Hola mister I am looking for a spring/summer fragrance. I use Armani Stronger with You for winter/fall. I am 23 if you advice a fragrance which would that be? I am thinking abut BDC EDP or Chanel Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme or Chanel Allure Homme Edition Blanche EDP or Versace Eros Flame.
How about Blue Ridge? I got travel sprays of this and Rasasi Hawas and my wife and I both prefer Blue Ridge.

Bought Light Blue Eau Intense last week, huge disappointment for me. My skin absorbed this stuff like parched earth which is rare for me. Was barely detectable after about 2 hours and gone by 3 on skin. Lasted longer on clothing though. Some do pick up a sulfur note in the dry down which I was kind of in the middle on. Big red flag was the strong alcohol scent that comes off the atomizer. Not blind buy safe.
See I'm the polar opposite. I LOVE LBintense. I do 6 sprays with it. With 2 on clothes but in the heat. It comes alive.
Light Blue and others flankers this is the most overrated perfume ever.. my sister said I smelled like toilet cleaner (L&B Intense) .. personally i think "Forever" smells like sweet armpit sweat
This stuff lasts all day on me even in winter
I prefer Forever or Italian Love. Not a fan of Light Blue Intense.

Hey Ash! I have a question for you, what are your thoughts on Acqua di Parma fragrances? Tried Mandorlo di sicilia the otherday, as well as Oud & Spices and both seemed great. Any thoughts on these frags in general?
Acqua Di Parma is a great house - underrated for sure. Quality is great, scents are usually pretty unique and the prices you can find them for online are fantastic. Oud and Spice wasn’t for me, but I can’t deny it’s tenacity or originality. MDS smells great - in general that whole Blue Mediterranean line tends to not have the best performance, but the quality and scents themselves are top notch. Fico Di Amalfi, Colonia Essenza & Colonia Intensa are the best from the brand imo. All absolutely stunning scents. 🙌🏻
@@SirSillageSniffington Okay thanks! I'll be sure to try them out. Tried Oud & spices, since I wanted to find if there's any Oud frag I could wear. No Idea what oud smells like, but since Ash always talks about it, I wanted to try it. The one with just "Oud" in the name was too much for me tho - sniffed the atomizer and almost K.O'd myself lol.

The best one on this list by a country mile is Terre d'Hermes Eau Givree. Phenomenal fragrance. Very classy, too.

Hey Ash, I just got myself the Chanel AHS EdT after 13 years hiatus for quite the Chanel prices these days, because I used to love this in 2010ish, I got a 2022 batch and the performance is so underwhelming I can't even call it a skin scent after an hour or two. I bought it from a reputable place here in the EU in store, so it's definitely legit, (and also because I was really curious and also disappointed I bought a 10ml decant just to compare them), the batch codes and everything is where it should be on the new 50ml bottle. Could it be a bad batch? It's 2022.09. Or they changed the formulation recently? I don't even want to use it, because I barely smell anything nor anyone else on me after 2 hours so the enjoyment factor is non existing. I remember back then this wasn't the case, at all. Thank you!

Ash surely your Sauvage edt bottle is few years old. Yes I had it back in 2016 and it was a projection and longevity monster I have 2022 batch now and it's terrible. 2 hours and it's gone. Also recently since I'm into collecting I bought Edp and Parfum 2021 and 2022 batches . All are weak in longevity I wouldn't rebuy nowadays. No way

EROS Flame is great. Got a 200ml bottle because it was only $20 more than the $100ml. Such a big square and looks way out of place next to my 30ml bottle of EROS EDT. lol

Do you like the smell of Grapefruit? It’s pretty much 99% that. If you know you want to smell like a Grapefruit, then it’s a safe blind buy, if you don’t, then it isn’t. I don’t think it’s discontinued - it only recently came out. If you’ve tried Forever, it’s fairly similar to that.

I like vetiver in a lot of fragrances. But i can not stand Grey Vetiver. For some reason it makes me gag. I think its the floral soapiness of it. Strong and pungent.
