    • My gosh Lara has such poetic thoughts sometimes in the book, I think it’s impossible to not love her once you’ve been inside her head through the book, in a way you can’t get from the movies.

  • To be honest I loved the second film. Sure it was a little messy but that’s what teens in love are like. It wasn’t as dramatic as the first but life isn’t always dramatic.

    • Yes, i remember when the actor who played John Ambrose in the 1st movie announced that he wouldn't be returning. Kinda sad, but I liked Jordan Fishers acting a lot too, I just wish they would've followed the book more

  • Lots of people were pissed that the hot tub scene in the first movie was ,'all a lie.' But I'd like to interpet that scene in this way; Peter (even though he didn't realize it at the time) had fallen madly in love with lara jean from the time she came over to his house for dinner when they were having that deep conversation about their families (her mom and his dad.) Peter's an emotionally damaged person and he needs someone to lean on for love and support (for him, it was gen.) He realizes Lara jean cares more about his feelings than Gen does. Therefore, Peter was mad at LJ when she refused to sit with him in the bus on the way to their ski trip (taking that as a sign of rejection. He's mad at her because he's been rejected before- by his dad, by gen and he didn't expect LJ, of all people, to reject him too..given the emotional bond they had developed over the course of their fake relationship.) He agrees to wait for gen in the hot tub.... But dudes, he looks SAD while he's waiting for gen, thinking more about LJ and how he had ZERO chance with her (the girl who came to understand him more than anyone.) When she arrives instead of gen, they make out, and he ecstatically realizes that a real relationship between them is possible after all. So he goes to gen's room to tell her it's over. P.S: Peter's sad face in the hot tub , before LJ's arrival, implies that even if gen had arrived.... and even if they did have a steamy makeout session, he would've imagined LJ's face on Gen anyway, since he's at that point, in love with her. Need a Quote that proves this? "God, you were never second best." 😁❤

  • 2:52, the part where peter says "Break my heart Covey, break it into a thousand pieces...... do whatever you want" is almost identical to a line from one of my favorite books where Maxon says to America in the final book, "Break my heart, break it a thousand time is you'd like.... it was only ever yours to break anyway" and I am here for it

  • i am not biased because they were together in the first film bc it shows that everything in a relationship isn’t easy and there are things u need to work on . And she was right. John wasn’t peter. John was smart and peter was sporty . John was predictable and Peter wasn’t. John wasn’t there for her when everything was going on.’ and john and LJ were so alike. it would of made their relationship boring and predictable . whilst peter pushed her out of her comfort zone and encouraged her to do things. adding on, john liked LJ for who she USED to be. people change from being 11 to 16. And what people tend to forget is that LJ loved Peter and He loved her which should of been the only answer to why they ended together bc love cant really be explained .

    • this what most people doesn’t understand. They shipped Lara for John Ambrose because he’s perfect on the second film but Lara and John never been together so how could you see his flaws right?   • Also this really helps to remind everyone on their chemistry. Since it was overshadowed by their insecurities in the second movie I feel like everyone kinda forgot about them. Rewatching this summary of all scenes everything makes just so much more sense.

    • In the first movie they had a TON of chemistry, but it was really lacking in the second movie. I think that Lana and Jordan had way more chemistry in the second movie than Noah and Lana.

    • @@Sarahw__ That's what I meant. But I think that's how it was supposed to go. They were trying to portray how difficult the beginnings of a relationship can be. It takes a lot more than just chemistry, which fades away after a while. You have to work on the insecurities and misscommunication.

  • Actually so cute!! I’m so happy it was Peter coz they were just meant to be, sure Lara Jean and John Ambrose had more in common but it didn’t seem like a real relationship because they were so similar, it was boring. Deep down both Lara jean and Peter care for each other and are there through difficult times to help push each other onwards. It’s sort of like that phrase that opposites attract coz that’s the exact thing that happened between Peter and Lara Jean. Please no hate this is just my opinion Like if u #TeamPeter 💘💘
