  • over 4 years ago I went through a very bad car accident that crushed my ankle and bound me to bed for nearly a year,I was told I probably won't walk again,I spent that entire year in front of Viva Germany ,when this song came up one morning when I hit 15,i was home alone,something about it hit me so hard I just said "nah I will not accept this miserable fate, and I will prove them wrong. " and I stood up on one leg and made my first step in a year to this song,you gotta get up and try,don't let anyone or anything decide your fate for you. Edit: i'm speechless at the amount of support this post has gotten over the years,bless you all ❤ stay awesome

    • It is disturbing, but beautifully done. It's art- the video shows the very real pain we endure in relationships. You have to step out of yourself, knowing you risk being hurt. To find someone, you may get "burned". But that doesn't mean it isn't worth it or fighting for.

    • +Fatal Fandomer Yeah. It's seriously unhealthy and codependent. They're desperately leaning on each other while obviously they both need more support than the other one can give. They're exhausted, needy and neither one is stable. Both are clinging on to each other and trying to break free at the same time. It's throwing, pushing, pulling, pinning to the wall, close, far, close, far, close, far. There's a lot of lust and love but the closeness hurts and just turns into fights. There's even the mirror. She looks at her reflection, looking exhausted and lost, and the guy grabs her into his carress. As if she doesn't have time for her own thoughts because the guy is so much in need of her support and love (and vice versa). The apartment is empty and dusty, like their relationship, or a home when you're about to move out. Even in the end when you think they'll run to apologise each other they just jump into another fight. And the music video starts where it ends as if it's a pattern they can't break. As Eric Hall commented above, I see it as an inner fight in a relationship where you love but you're not meant to be together - so you have to let go even when you don't know how, or how you can live without it. That's a terrible struggle to go through.

This song and “Clover Cage - In The Moment” are the two songs that helped get rid of my depression. I just want to send love to everyone and I want everyone to know things will get better.   • when i was younger i hated this song so bad. i remember being 8 in my parents car while they used to argue while i was in the backseat listening to this song on the radio. Time passed by, my parents got divorced, now i'm 16 and now i'm fluent in english and i can understand all of these old songs. crazy how everything makes sense now that you grow and start to understand stuff. please now that you are worth it and everything it's gonna be ok one day! you are loved and appreciated

    • This is my first time having seen this video so I will say it. The language of their dance is flooring and fits the message of the lyrics perfectly. The couple constantly drawn together by love and lust is twisted and hurt by fears and angers that are equally constant. They suffer from their love as often as they enjoy it. They are no less intertwined when taken by wrath then they are when by lust and even as things grow to their worst, when it seems they are mutually too distant from eachother to ever heal, they struggle with all of their energy to bring their hearts together. This is one of the best road maps to successful, long term romance that I have ever seen or heard. Many songs talk about falling in love but this one talks about the much harder struggle of STAYING in love. Of keeping to the choice you made and not letting the struggles convince you that separation is the only course. (I feel you typing the "but abuse" arguments. I'm not talking about those situations. Every relationship has conflict. Couples that last learn to accept the conflicts as part of the cost of keeping one another. To love when its easy is cheap. The truly valuable love is worth struggling for.)

  • I am a African man living in Lagos, Nigeria in the west African states. This music was was of greatest song that we listened to when all things didn't work out for better. Furthermore, it is a song that inspired me and some of my friends to keep moving in life and keep on hanging there with the hope of greater things to come.   • Personally i think the dance represents all the fights and sad moments they had, the paint represents the marks that the fights had done, if you notice they both have paint on them which means they both had been hurted by the other but even after that they keep trying to be together because they love each other even when it is hard.     • there’s always going to be good music. Music changes over time. Think of how much it had developed since Mozart and Beethoven. You can fight the change and stay stuck in the past, or you can just enjoy the new music for what it is. Or, you can just let people enjoy what music they like without judging them for it, which is personally my favorite option👍🏾
