    • @@algrundau9441 Really ? Because the Coilers have been irrelevant for how many years but yet get every chance they get at the first overall pick but still can’t be competitive, except maybe one season in the past 15 years. And even with the best player on the planet, they can’t win and have zero depth. McD is logging 65min a night because Tippett doesn’t trust any of the other slugs.

    • @@algrundau9441 Regardless of Cups - because you Coiler fans like to live in the past (hence the reason they suck) - Edmonton has only qualified once for the playoffs since 2006 (lost in the 2nd round in 2017). So with all the #1 picks (McD was a no-brainer) and high picks over the past 14-15yrs, they have done absolutely nothing. In that same time, Calgary has been to the playoffs 7 times, regardless of wins (although they did advance to the 2nd round in 2015). And the fact that McD & Draisaitl are logging 25+ min per game shows me they have no depth. I’m not saying Calgary is that much better but they have a new coach that knows how to win and is rolling 4 lines right now. Edmonton cannot sustain that because a) McD is gonna be physically done by year end, and/or b) he’s gonna get hurt. When McD is on every PP for the entire time, how does that say you have depth? Typical delusional Coiler fans thinking they’re better than they really are. Thanks for coming out. Later !

  • Keep playing like this and the Oiler's will miss the playoffs, they keep doing the same things and expect a different result. Take away the Ottawa wins and they're a sub .500 team. Their schedule is brutal until April 20 when they get 5 days off (why then?) so they've got to rotate players and out of the lineup. Tonight they got outworked with it being their 3rd game in 4 nights and still insist on trying to win a finesse game. They haven't converted a "conventional" 2 on 1 in weeks since their shooters always want to pass the puck to the point where the opposition gives them the shot and they still won't take it. Sit some of their undersized defense (don't let them kill penalties), and get some energy back.

    @fulefoan2830@fulefoan28303 жыл бұрын
    • Oilers are 14-6 in their past 20. Take away the Ottawa wins? Why? Ottawa is a bad team but they’re no guaranteed W. Beat CGY and TOR multiple times each. Every team has set backs, losing streaks, etc. Oilers have been getting good goaltending from Smith and scoring from the back end. They need Bear in the press box and Bouchard playing some games. They’ll be ok. They are sitting at 89.9% chance of making the playoffs after tonight. If they go 11-13-2 from here on out they still have a 55.3% chance of making the playoffs. I’ll gladly take those odds.

What I was referring to was more a situation like the Wild game last night kzhead.info/sun/qZmxfJmakXqjfY0/bejne.html at the 2:00 minute mark, you'll hear the announcer refer to the code of letting up once the guy is down. Anyways, just happy to see some grit in the battle of Alberta so I shouldn't have been complaining. Rock on guys :) (y)
