Dogday is the nicest smiling critter in the group. Even though a lot of bad things are happening to him he still maintains a positive energy throughout the entire thing. Until Kickinchicken and Hoppy Hopscotch decide to play a prank on him. He has had it with their antics. Dogday must maintain a positive attitude about the whole thing even though he gets mad at one part. How do you think I even die in the grave and come back to life even though Craftycorn Took some of his blood to get more red paint? How is that even possible?
Dogday is a pup of sheer will. Death will not stop him. There is a reason why he is the leader and why Catnap seemed scared of Dogday getting mad.

Since the description of catnap said that he's the calming present for the smilling critters, i feel like it would be canon for catnap being the one who tries to calm everyone down and let them rest not just by sleeping but also by comforting them
Strangely, if there was a smiling critters episode or series, I would love to see CatNap comforting DogDay after DogDay fails to diffuse a fight between his friends, which made DogDay snap and accidentally say some hurtful words to his friends, making DogDay ashamed of what he said and made him question his position as a leader and fear that he might’ve lost his friends for good.
