Hey guys, I'm aware that the music is a half step flat. For whatever reason, when we encoded it in the editor, it always comes out a half step flat. If anyone has an idea how to fix this, I'm all ears. The notes that I'm calling out during the reaction are the correct ones though. Best, Matt Ramsey, Voice Teacher
Sometimes it seems to be pitchy. Maybe the key is going up and down. I thought of closing the video, but I could handle this.
I've noticed a small number of other reactors having this issue and a few who did it on purpose thinking they could evade copyright. Sadly I have no idea what the fix was but all ones (except the ones doing it intentionally) did eventually fix it. Maybe check your playback speed as it seems like the video is running ever so slightly slower than normal.
Dimash himself said he was a tenor. He also doesn't want people to focus on range alone. He uses his full range to add layers textures and emotions to the song. They are just the tools to tell the story. I think this is where his brilliance lies -- not merely how low or high he can reach but how he uses all his talents and techniques to serve his music. He is an artist more than a technician. P.S. voice type only matters in opera production. Dimash is not an opera singer so he can sing whatever the hell he wants in whichever range he deems appropriate for his music.
Well said:-)
yes, he's most probably a tenor 😊 but absolutely not a countertenor (or "high" tenor)
tout a fait!
Absolutely right!!! And I never have the feeling that he just wants to show, what he can do.. he is always so into it, he uses all his abilities to be free for expression, emotion.. in complete dedication.. a genius, a gift for the world!!!
But he is also an opera singer though!
By far and away the best discovered voice in the world. It's been a privilege to listen to his works over the last couple years. Everything he does is with deliberate intent. Great reaction! You hit the nail right on the head when you define him as a master. You'll find his basement is even lower and his d8 in "Unforgettable Day" is unparalleled. ❤️DQ!
Couldn't agree more!
So glad you react to Dimash. His song/performance and voice is stunningly beautiful. Haunting.
Thank you
This is not just a song. He is living the song. It’s a true work of art.
love your comment
My daily dose of Dimash never a day goes by without hearing his angelic voice.
Same here
To me, he’s the best male artist.
To me he is the BEST artist EVER.
Thank you so much for your super reaction to Dimash!
Saw him live in NY. Amazing
What an amazing talent Dimash is, love him. Thank you for the detailed reaction
When his eye are looking in the sky, he seem like connected directly with god and angel :p
He sings Ave Maria Ave Amore beautifully. He is thanking God I guess
His hands are in praying position too.
He most probably does.
Димаш уникален, у него Божий дар, большой труд и профессиональное образование!!! К тому же он скромен и добрый! Он самый лучший!!!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
He seems to be a beautiful person, inside and out
Does matter what note, no matter, if he is high or low, no matter what analyze, if it he is bad or not, if he reach or not. Thousands of people every day ask for an answer that conclude like math without error a final true . In the last 4 years i follow him, in concerts live and so one. Every day i listen to him. and i have no answer for him. I watch people here that can fully reproduce wonderful some notes of his songs, But no one can reproduce the true colors of his voice. That is the impossible, that made so many people react to Dimash. Dimash may not be pleased for many in this style. But no one can have the passion, the colors of his voice, no one, and no also to can reach out the top of a piano scale and more ,that Dimash, without a scratch, just in one breath, one soul, love and passion have the skills and natural talent to put every word in his perfect place. It does not matter if it is in Russian, in Kazac, in French, in Inglish, in Italian, in , in, in .... and you know that is not easy, the time of the word, the sound of the word requires another position totaly different from one to another. I flight often to see him live, and as time goes by he is better than ever. Dimash just incites a flight when is free and his freedom is sing. His voice always remind me a eagle in the sky, or an angel.....the proud of a mother land, of his education and honor and about everything his family love and education. Thank you in the name of The Dimash Kudaibergen Fan Club and all his world dears. Thank you very much for your good reaction and analyze. Kisses from Portugal.
Thanks for following, Raquel
Amazing Dimash.....amazing voice and performance.......loved!....thanks for your reactions!.....greetings from a Mexican Dear!.....❤️🥰❤️🇲🇽🇰🇿🇲🇽
Lupita Gallego do you really love Dimash? Does he know that?
jose fraguas yes. I loved. I was in Barclay Center NewYork and was amazing. And I have my tickets for Rusia at March 2020. And he know that. I’m a Dear. 😂👏🏻😘
@@lupitagallego375 You go mama!!
Thank you so much for watching, Lupita
Thank you :) Dimash is neither a baritone nor a countertenor. In 2016, Aiman Mussakhajayeva, the rector of Dimash's university (the Kazakh National University of Arts) gave an interview to a Kazakh newspaper. The interviewer asked him about Dimash's voice type and he said he was registered as dramatic tenor
Dimash and beatiful voice !! Greetings from Chile
Hi, Carmen from Chile
Wow...Dimash is so talented... But, your reaction is so stunning, making you equally talented as Dimash... Your House analogy is as crystal clear for us to be mesmerized by the performance... Hi, from your fan and follower, a Juris Doctor from the Philippines
Equally talented? Hello?? Dimash is Incomparable!!!
Wow, thank you! Thanks for following, Jimmy, more to come
Masterpiece!!!!...written by this Russian composer (at the piano), Igor Krutoy, for Dimash because he needed someone to write songs for his range of 6+ octavos. This is one of many he had composed for Dimash and all are great. Check out 'Olympico' (Ogni Petra) , 'Passionion', 'Love of Tired Swans', 'Mademoiselle Hyde'.. The thing about Dimash is you have to SEE him sing. His stage presence and story telling are a lot of the uniqueness of his persona. He loves his fans and is so humbled by their support. He says we make his dreams come true. Someone asked him in an interview once if he hadn't pursued music as a career what would he do for a living. He said he nothing else ever crossed his mind. He said if you cut open his brain you could see music and if you cut open his heart you would see music. I believe if you cut his finger he would bleed musical notes!!! I love Him and his music. He sings in 12 languages, speaks 4 and plays 7 musical instruments. OK...English.. I actually have 4 of his CD's mostly they are in Chinese, but enough English that I love them all. Check out "All by myself" , "Adagio" on the singer show 2017, DO NOT LISTEN TO THEM ON THE WORLDS BEST. Those stupid people chopped up his performances so bad he should have sued them. He sang with the Super Vocal boys on The Singer 2019 and did a Queen medley in English that was very good. That's if you want to hear him sing in English. He has a video out with his song "Screaming" that is wonderful. I could go on and on. I've been listening to Dimash for 1 1/2 years now. I am 63 and have 4 children and 9 grandchildren and a great love for music. These are my grandchildren in the pic. I like your reactions. I subscribed.
Lovely, Jennefer
I’m always so impressed when people like you can just pick a note on a keyboard and just know what note it is! Great reaction!❤️ I would love to be so talented just for one day😁
Thanks so much!!

Dimash's vocal fry in the beginning was intentional to distinguish it from the tones he would use later. He has performed in typical chest voice down to E2.
Link please
@@funduk29 E2 "Love of Tired Swans" F2 "Confessa + Diva Dance"
@@ubervocal8777 its vocal fry too
@@funduk29 it's not..clean your ears
Not that E2, but he hit many F2 chest, agree.
The vocal fry at the beginning was intentional in order to speak-sing and to have greater contrast to when he later used more typical singing voice. He has sung down to E2 in fully supported chest voice, though it does rattle you the way it would from a baritone.
I think Ramsey is a fake coach if all he says doesn't recognize to what he is doing. Ramsey should delete his channel. I got off his channel after writing this comment. One heck if an annoying man.

Dimash is just wonderful💗💗💗 and thank for a full analysis of the song.
BRAZIL - YES Ramsey, Dimash shines and sounds so clear, when he raises the notes and his voice becomes angelic. I don't care if he sings as a tenor or baritone, I just know that what he proposes to do does it beautifully, like the fry voice, which I think is beautiful, a different touch. Thanks for the review.
It is beautiful
Excellent reaction ! Thank you

If you want to hear DiMagic sing in English, please react to All by Myself, Hello, Adagio, Screaming, etc. He is an intelligent, magnificent, heavenly & magical singer like no other. Unique & Incomparable. His voice envelops all of our emotions & transcends them into the stratosphere where we can bask in all its magic. I simply cannot resist listening to his singing everyday. 🤗😍🥰❤️🇨🇦

Hello to Belgium!
I’d like to recommend some of his English songs to you: Adagio, Hello, The Show Must Go on😃

Oh Holy Lord!! This is stunning. Love your explanations of his range. Trust me, if you want to hear him in his lush and glorious baritone try Ogni Pietra --- OMG!! You will be totally blown away!
It's here now!
I've looked at the reactions to Dimash, and I really like them, well done, thanks! What is more to me in Dimash than a huge voice (which everyone emphasises,,, of course rightly,,) is the way to perform, I consider him a very suggestive performer. It is a great musical intelligence that, in addition to musical and sound control (which is no longer a small task in itself), he places great emphasis on the story and performance of the song. It's typical of almost every song you perform, but it's especially on the act of Autumn Strong and Daybreak (Bastau). He also plays several instruments and composers. He wrote unforgettable day in 2015. I'd like to hear about your reaction to these songs. Thank you for reading it.
Keep watching, Era, more coming
He's a tenor. And a soprano when everything else in between We've heard him hit the high notes. That only dogs can hear the whistle sound the shocks everyone No matter what. And he has one right now. That's new.
That is in the song Unforgettable Day, where Dimash hits the highest note that he can reach.
Yes, @Marlene Evan, on the list
Nice reaction to Dimash singing one of my favourite songs: Love is Like A Dream. Great performance by Dimash. Greetings from Amsterdam.
Thank you so much! Hello, Amsterdam
Dimash is a countertenor, which I'm sure that you know is extremely RARE!! He IS the GREATEST SINGER IN THE WORLD!!!! greetings from the Entertainment Capitol of the World, Las Vegas 😂
**Patiently waits for someone to mention Dimash's actual whistle** 😉😉 All joking aside lol... Thank you for the thoughtful reaction. I always enjoy watching different singers reactions to Dimash. I especially liked your analogy about the floors of a house. We just might need to add a few more floors and make it a skyrise 😂 I look forward to more! 😁
Yes, you are right. At the beginning of the song, Dimash uses a beautiful vocal fry sound at the lowest notes and then goes from the dungeon to the sky. As a vocal music coach, have you ever heard of someone who has approached this type of performance and singing range with such perfection?
not yet!
@@ramseyvoicestudio It is most likely that you won't... ever
I agree with you that Dimash is essentially a tenor, but he can definitely do dramatic tenor -- see "Olympico.". I disagree that he sang in whistle register here - - He consistently stays in head/flageolet through E6. In other songs, he throws in whistle 'grace' notes on occasion in the seventh and eighth octaves.
Good post (maybe because I agree with all of your points). Dimash himself has said he is a tenor, and I haven't heard any credible debate about that point. Yes, he definitely does dramatic tenor, as well as dark baritone with full, rich notes (not in fry). Olimpico is the best example for any vocal coach who may have doubts about either of those points. I also find his dramatic tenor equally as natural and pleasing as his lyric tenor, and his dramatic baritone is fantastic and fully developed. I also agree with you that we absolutely did not hear Dimash's whistle register in this song, and he doesn't use whistle register outside of the 7th and 8th octaves.
@@Snarky_Tart Agree. This was not a whistle tone .. and he is able to sing as a perfect tenor and as a perfect baritone.. he dont wants to sing just opera, so he dont need to decide.. and we get surprised, shocked, mindblown, fall in love again and again... what a gift!!!
@@Snarky_Tart I kind of agree with Ramsey if you listened to him correctly. He said you dont need to drop your larynx too down to generate that dark baritone which is true for Dimash. Even in Olympico his larynx is all the way down. He is human afterall lol,. Dimash is very good at vocal fry though.
He do an F#6 flageolet recently. And many F6 too.
22 sec Dimash hold this note" WOW AMAZING Dimash the only one 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗😘😘😘😘😘😘😊😊😊😊
Yes!
He has all the ranges and he sets his voice to sound like he wants for each song he sings. When you can sing like a soprano and a tenor, you can also everything in between.
you're right
Dimash es Dimash.....
Matthew will definitely be "Dimash-ified after this perfect performance. Just watch Dimash's eyes, they can put a spell on you.....!
You're right, I'm so impressed
He is just the best! Best of the best
Great!
ditto
вот именно, учителя вокала останавливаются к сожалению преимущественно на технике(!).. и есть не учителя, у них реакция без вот этих уточнений, нот, регистров и так далее
Ok. Now i see in yours eyes the true!!!!! You too are fall in love with Dimash!!!!

Bravo Ramsey for your comment! Yes hi is TENOR + ++gift for the God! Hi can sing all the musical text of Terra!!!

You should hear his "unforgettable day" 😍... It's my favorite♥️ and really really really beautiful, also you can try his "screaming", "ogni pietra", "sinful passion"
all of those are on the list, working my way
Nice reaction! With all due respect, Coach, that Eb6 was hit in head voice. It wasn’t his whistle register, his whistle starts a few tones above that. I’m a musician and I have decent musical ears, but this might not mean anything to you so I must refer to the other respected vocal coaches who reacted to this song. Like Ken Tamplin, Tara Simon etc. they noted that he didn’t sing in whistle register but that it was a clear note sung in his head voice.
For most male they will definitely hit whistle register at that note. Most guys must use falsetto in the 5th octave, some as early as the 4th. Dimash however is an anomaly when it comes to male vocal chords. He has an upper extension that rivals that of a female. He's such a rare breed that most vocal coaches will never encounter such a person among their students. For this coach I guess he simply assumes that Dimash produces sounds like a typical male. Back when he reviewed SOS he made the same assumption about his higher notes.
Kitty You’re correct! However, as a vocal coach, it’s a common skill to be able to discern the different vocal registers correctly and I expected that from him. Clearly he doesn’t know Dimash’s full range yet as he has been incorrectly presuming a couple of things about it in his reactions so far.
Dimash goes up til F6 in full head voice with good cord closure. I first thought he wasn't sure if an E6 or sth like that in a previous video was head voice or whistle bc he thinned it out on the way up (which is kind of logical though), but it was connected. However, the Eb6 in this video wasn't even thin. I'm also surprised that he mixes up registers. He seems to be quite a good vocal coach, but he seems to sometimes mix up such things
@@megalelouch1836 I agree about the whistle voice thing, but please don't say Ken Tamplin is a respected voice teacher. You have no idea how much he manipulates the community and how despised he really is among other teachers.
Isivaa Sanaru Give me proof of that statement. I’ve been following him for 2 years and I’ve never heard of that. So please give me some proof.
awesome!
Thanks!
Dimash chose to use a breathy vocal fry to start this song, but that doesn't mean he can't bellow in full-blown baritone voice. When you see Ogni Pietra, you'll understand...
Here, now!
Dimash sings on 12 languages. On English: Show must go on, Adagio, Hello, Give me your love, Couldnt leave….

Unforgettable day on The singer is better. That one note in Gakku is better tho, obviously
I like your Dimash reactions and commentary - they certainly exemplify your expertise. You really should react to Dimash's performance of Olympic at WorldSkills Kazan 2019. Igor Krutoy wrote this for the opening 2018 European Games - and specifically for Dimash's voice. BTW Igor is the pianist in this performance and also is the composer of Love is Like A Dream
Both are here now!
E6 is his happy head voice place. He goes there routinely. Not whistle. Crazy but true. But whatever, it's not about the E6. It's about the performance overall. And as to that, thank you for the really nice analysis; interesting and helpful!
Thank you, Suzanna, his perfomance overall is a stunning experience
Please Please sinful passion it's so amazing my favorite
Especially his performance of the song in Moscow.
No need to argue. Dimash said in an interview that he is a 'normal tenor' (i.e not counter tenor) who managed to extend his range. So that case is closed. He told us.
yes, here now!
You can't make assessments based on one song as he makes artistic choises that might seem like his limits, but when you hear other songs you realise they are not his limits
yes, more are coming
Ogni Pietra New York is the best vocal performance I have ever seen and 2nd place isn't close...he defies the laws of human sound....
Kev W ditto, it was unreal, was at the concert.

how lucky, @kaakca
NOBODY noticed after the heartbeat he sung a few notes then the START OF THE BELTING he sung all that in ONE BREATH watch replay.YES! you are welcome
Probably people already corrected you on this, but the fry notes were a stylistic choice. He's the only singer that never truly compromises with his voice, he has all the notes he wants as full as he wants them (for humans standard)
Huge range

@@MkzMary I know what you mean Dimash hit whistle note E7 , F#7 , G7 , G#7 , D8 , but there are a lot of singers out there using whistle from the sixth octave like the fucking copy cat who did a cover for Dmiash's SOS and many others like the E6 for example which Dimash is doing these notes for fun or extra flare some people that's their whistle register which says something about Dimash !!

PLIS REACT TO DIMASH SINFUL PASSION
Sinful passion. That's another one you should react to😍
on the list!
Although Dimash himself said he was a tenorino (light tenor), he is also so much more than this. I am a bass baritone and I was very surprised to hear him sing Ogni Pietra with full low notes (first part of the song) that sounded in depth and color like the ones I sing. And I am very doubtful that a "true" tenor can actually achieve this. We have to admit that Dimash has a lower extension that sounds natural and that sets him apart from the "other" tenors. As for the highest note he sang in Love is Like a Dream, it is not a whistle. Check out Drunken Concubine and you'll hear for yourself what Dimash sounds like when he sings in the whistle register. Other than that, your reaction was really interesting. Keep up the good work :)
thanks, Stephan
Thanks for your reaction to Dimash! It seems something is off with your video that makes the song slower and the tone different. Cheers!
