Seeing what the US is doing, attacking other countries, imposing unilateral sanctions, abusing the USD as the world's reserve currency, confiscating other countries' assets illegally, who would want unipolar under the US?

@@hans-dieterjung4026 Wasn't that Europe for centuries, before the US came in and put and end to the conflict which allowed for the formation of the EU under that security umbrella? Multipolar didn't work out too well for Europe, where at least there's a common heritage. It would be worse on a global scale, in fact is what led to WWI, WWII.

It is in the favour of XI politically to interrupt any interaction between two of the largest trading blocks in the world because China sees an advantage in increasing trade with Europe which has so far resisted giving unfettered trade access to a country they see as breaking human rights legislation daily.

EU and US need each other. I am glad that US recently overtook China as Germanys largest trading partner.

Who in the first place tries to drive a wedge between friendly nations. President Xi simply tries to undo the wedge and to foster better relationships.
Currently China is well-advanced with its Belt, and Road initiative, there is a plan to dredge a canal to the Mediterranean by-passing Suez, they are reversing desert growth, they will have access to all the markets they require, the 'wedge' is self-propelling by the western refusal of a multipolar world.
Build a canal to bypass the Suez Canal to hurt the Egyptian economy? And some people think the CCP is smart.

Chinese finance students are not doing too well, China's economy is an absolute shambles.
Back in 2010 the late Tony Judt (a British social historian) summed up China under the rule of the Communist Party very well. He said what some consider as the Chinese economic miracle was built on the foundation of a ruthless and now hereditary elite who are above all laws and even above all questions as everything about them is a state secret and who are kept in place by a fearsome secret police who make anyone who asks questions disappear and then a large workforce who are poorly paid and who have little or no rights and can be fired at will and who cannot even easily move from one part of China to another let alone leave China. This is what Chinese State Capitalism is.
At US universities Chinese students are caught cheating more than any other demographic of students.
China is not as sneaky as UK and the US. Their divide and rule policy is well known throughout the world. Is this commentary a classroom lesson for us? The UK and US are experts in such plot. Would you like to use their examples in history to illustrate this.

@@markfoth1226 uk and western countries in general talks about freedom but when they come across a country that chooses to run their government differently then they are met with sanctions and is deemed an enemy. Western countries accuse China as being aggressive while we sail our navy and do military excises off of their coastline and surround their country with our military bases. We talk about free trade when we export to them cars and planes but the second they are able to produce something that can compete with us then we accuse them of overcapacity and want to impose tariffs and bans. Should I continue? I can write a book.

America pays most of the money spent in the Ukraine. I don't like Donald Trump, but I would prefer seeing more American taxpayer dollars directed toward domestic needs. Europe should pay most of the money for Ukraine. BTW, when have European dollars been directed towards helping the U.S. ? I recently saw an article where a Chinese diplomat charged China with interfering England's economic situation. The Chinese diplomat reply was that in a global economy sense, England's participation was miniscule. Times Radio seems to express wishful thinking instead of accurately describing situations.
WE pay lot more than us in money for Ukraine dude. But not in weapons, and It costs nothing for americans taxpayers.
