  • The Spanish FA and their member clubs would sell their own mothers to close the wealth gap between them and England. We've already seen the Supercopa moved to the Middle East, and Barcelona have sold or rented every asset of the club to the highest bidder. And in the background, Madrid is still trying to make the Super League work. Nothing is too low for these people.

    • how evil of them to try to earn money by playing and using their appeal rather than sell the club to the oil countries

    • @@sadiqjhilam6492 they're holding competitions in foreign countries. The entire federation is selling out to oil money, not just one team. And where do you think the money from the Super League is coming from? American and Arab billionaires, or your local Paella Restaurants Union? Foreigners already control Almeria, Girona, and Valencia, and more will come in thir quest to catch up financially

  • It doesn’t make sense for League games to be played outside the US. How do you designate “home vs away” games. Each team is used to their home pitch, and gets rid of an advantage. Also players are fatigued and wasting more time traveling…

  • La Liga left their run too late in trying to play catch up with the Premier League for a piece of that global market.

    • Global market? You gotta be kidding me! . LaLiga was globally skyrocketed way before Prem kid Prem was so insecure and scared of LaLiga that they had to sell their souls to Oil states and Americans just to compete.. Fake plastic league ..Pipe down! 😂

  • Really insane decision this is ridiculous. This is league competition so there is no point of playing outside country. Really making a joke of the game.

  • Luis Garcia having an absolute mare. If you ask fans would you rather see other teams sign the best players or would you rather watch your team then of course they would rather watch their team. Why do fans of anyone other than Barca or Madrid care if they sign Mbappe? Mental. If US fans want to watch Madrid or Barcelona then fly to Spain. Otherwise go support your local team.

  • If a person buy a season ticket and then Spanish FA says that match will be in US what that person must do? He had paid for something and he will not watch the match! Then why buy a season ticket? And season tickets are most important because it 's in the start of the season and gives a huge boost to financial department. Also, this is a thievery. You take money from two persons, the one with the season ticket and the one who actually watch the match but ONLY one really watch the match live at the stadium.

  • Spain is paying for the massive tv rights skews it had in the early 2000s and before where Barca and Real had their own TV deals to keep status quo. This led to pretty much most people abroad being fans of either team. People will come out to watch Real and Barca but only the hardcores would come to watch Getafe vs Betis. Theyre also pretty late to the game. EPL has been milking that preseason cow to heaven and back for years, giving midtable teams more exposure.

  • Coz LaLiga teams need money and they overspend and yet Perez blames teams like city for overspending and ruining market but they bought players like Bellingham and will have mbappe! Imagine if PL teams hosted games in US, there would be anarchy, but for LaLiga it's like who cares if they play here or there!

    @mrsmith5631@mrsmith563112 күн бұрын
    • Spanish teams definitely don't overspend unless you mean real Madrid by la Liga teams

      @Victor_386@Victor_38612 күн бұрын
    • @@Victor_386 Correct. And the evidence? Madrid pays on average $500,000 for a win vs say Girona who pay $10 a win...and are in 3rd place. Girona are also playing "Moneyball" in La Liga and making Madrid look like idiots. And on top of that, its killing Perez that Girona is a City Football Group owned team. That's just pissing in his face and boiling his blood.

  • I still think its a bad idea its destroying the purpose of Spanish football. Fans won't have the money to flying to the otherside of the Atlantic on a weekly basis to watch their team play. La Liga is a Spanish sport and should remain on Spanish territory. Barcelona and Real Madrid are the two popular teams. Don't think people in America want to watch getafe vs celta vigo type of matches.

  • Real Madrid & Barcelona already have their preseason in the US. They would probably play a game vs the Getafes of the world here before they return to Spain. Massive amounts of fans would go. We want to experience games that matter in the US. The Real Madrid & Barca fans will take their kids & friends to the game and make new fans for life. Of course this makes sense.

    • there's no way Madrid will accept playing a La Liga game in US, that's giving La Liga money they make every year on their pre-season tours. Even if Tebas tries to go ahead with it Florentino will probably just sue la liga and get out of it.

  • The NFL does it every year so I don’t see what the big deal is - and it has given the NFL more fans. But it can’t just be one game it needs to be a handful of games

    @mkasppdo6463@mkasppdo646312 күн бұрын
    • 1) Fans of those NFL teams don't like it. Losing a home game, waking up at 8am to watch the game, etc. 2) NFL teams only play once a week, and you can use Bye Weeks to ease the burden on traveling teams. 3) There is no competing NFL-type product the UK (anymore) or Germany. There is already a domestic soccer pyramid here in the USA and, as Ale Moreno mentioned, this will have no residual benefit to the domestic league. At worst, it further cannibalizes the market.
