@@vanessakeller4543 I can only speak for myself, but many years ago when I was introduced to Nam myoho renge kyo I was a young adult having been raised as a Christian. So I sincerely, really really sincerely, prayed and told God I was only trying to get closer to the divine and that if what I was doing wrong to understand my heart and my intent. Years later I now know Buddhism does not contradict the teachings of Christ, they complement each other and you will be amazed at the overlap. I think for my journey Buddhism explains the nagging questions I had more fully and has helped me grow as a person. Good luck and may your own journey be fruitful as well as joyful.

Having been raised in a very fundamentalist form of Christianity though I have my issues with the Bible and literal interpretation. Yes, I am aware of the path of Buddhism from India to China and Japan and beyond. True Buddhism imho is naught but reason wherever the country.
Budhism is also Christian. Jesus Christ is also a budha. 😉 So I believe we ca be budhists and Christians at the same time. I am. And I also respect all other religions. Budhism is a filosophy that accepts all religions. All human beings can chant Nam Myoho Renge Kyo.

I have a brother who revently was in a bad accident while battling other adversities in my perosnal life amd my family dynamic ..and God/universe sent me a download "the chant that tina was chanting from Tina Turner" and here i am , Thank you God 💖 life for the past couple of years have been hard esp we dont have our parents so God has really been with us the entire time even through the obstacles so that we can learn not to depend on men and work on ourselves so that we can learn to love ourselves & choose who we allow in our presence and life bc it can alter your life for beter or worse .
