      @TheSchmed@TheSchmed2 жыл бұрын
    • @@TheSchmedI I assume on break if you really are inclined to view sunlight you can get out to a cat walk or the stern. However you are bound by the laws of physics for months on end to never see the sun.

    • They are larger and better laid out than the early strategic Subs, they don't seem to be to cheap either the technology is so much better and beyond what the earlier Submarines were capable of, because there's no point in standing still, not taking advantage of the innovation in Maritime Scientific research and it doesn't matter which Country's Submarines you're looking at there's going to be Secrecy around some equipment, there's a British Submarine Documentary and the Guy who goes abroad to stay with the Crew on a short Cruise from one port to the next asks some silly questions about the Submarine and its equipment and the Officer replied "I can't answer that" or my favourite answer "That Information is subject to the Official Secrets Act and therefore Classified"

  • Home style service is SO much better than having to train a newbie every patrol on how to put the food where you want it and how much of it you want. (Not only that, but get rid of the chow line setup and you gain quite a few square feet of deck space you can use for other things. And while I am at it, I might mention that someone(s) seem to have forgotten how each individual frame of the USS Greenling SSN614 got to be seen from the outside of the hull. (We won't mention analog guages at all)
