  • Always nice to see Charlie on the scene. He really knows his stuff. Great shots of the machine at work, Chris, especially inside the hopper. I still can't get over how that machine separates the stone from the dirt and the rebar.

  • I'm having trouble getting my brain wrapped around the notion that the rental center sends you a multi-million dollar, highly complex piece of machinery and expects you to assemble it, precheck it, operate it and trouble shoot problems. Wow. What an operation!

    • Another way to think about it though, is that they could take it to their shop for a month while waiting for a technician to go over it, all the while we're desperately waiting for Chris to post the next concrete crushing video... We're lucky they sent it directly to him from the previous renter...

      @joshmerrell4415@joshmerrell4415Ай бұрын
    • @@joshmerrell4415. Ut the technician should be on site for the first day. As Chris said, a month’s rental is about the price of a new truck!

  • Takes a lot more to run a crusher than most people think. Only takes a small issue to quickly become a big issue. Had to crawl into places many times when I was younger and thinner, areas I won't fit in anymore, to clear jams. Glad you decided to have a crusher operator keeping an eye on things, clearing the fine pile, rebar pile and ensuring everything is running as it should. Thanks for sharing.

  • An amazing machine - re-feeds its self to make a smaller product while separately spitting out dirt and in yet another separate place spitting out wood/rebar and other junk material. TKS Charlie for helping out with that monster. I couldn't help but wonder - if I fell into that machine - which exit would I come out of - LOL.

  • I find watching this machine very soothing. Despite the fact that there are violent actions going on it seem so gentle. Love watching the discharge belt spewing it's load in the air and most of it just seems to land in a neat pile ready for dispersal. As you can tell, I've never seen one of these machines working before so am fascinated by it. Thanks Chris for showing us the beast and hope maybe you could show as the machine gets itself sorted by the new bits as and where. Thanks from UK.

Safety locking pin not installed and it was delivered from how far away??? Glad you have reworked and repaired your rental equipment there will be a rebate. Correct!!! Love the aerial shots of the crusher in action. Thanks Chris.

  • The easiest way to determine feed rate on a crusher like this is just by looking at the recirculation conveyor into the bunker, if you look at 21:15 for example you can see it's way too full, but when you were feeding at 35:20 it could be a little bit more. That's the easiest way to tell from your position how fast it's going and what you can adjust. Thing is, if you feed too much you'll notice it pushing more back into the bunker, it's just because the decks aren't letting through the bigger pieces. Also could be that the screen deck is covered with plastic or other stuff like wood

One critique i would recommend dont sit straight behind those crushers. We have had shit thrown through many a windshields. Lol we always feed a little off to the side and on a high pad.

These smaller ones (30-40 ton) aren't as bad, but we usually have 60-70 ton ones and there's just so much violence in these machines it's hard to not break

It is simply amazing to watch several acres of concrete piles turn into nice crushed rocks. They crush it in bigger sized and smaller sized piles and the piles are sold almost as fast as they make them.
