  • Hiking is very mental. Your ability to stay positive is genuinely what actually kept you alive. You could have easily died in the alps on that night hike. This shit is hella dangerous, but your ability to stay positive, keep your group motivated, and compel yourself to the finish line is what kept you alive. Well done, but damn.

  • Just a tip for anyone attempting something like this, you can rehydrate your dehydrated camping foods with any temperature water, if it's cold or room temperature you just need to give it an hour or so to fully hydrate. Not the best tasting, but will give you crucial energy needed to keep going. Also always keep a life straw with you. If it came down to it you can actually drink your own pee in a survival situation with a life straw. (Or without, if it's life and death) Glad yall are all alive and well, because that could have easily not been the case, even for seasoned hikers. Bring a damn jacket next time 😂😂😂

  • Absolute massive respect I'm not experienced in hiking as much but we do go hiking sometimes and it's really dangerous, deadly and tough And really anything can ruin it as well as going for a day straight as well as the fact that if someone goes for too long and holds the pain, it can be mental many times the only thing holding your mind are friends and family, also positivity is something you pretty much need for hiking especially at the start which socks happens to have and honestly if socks would be alone he probably wouldn't make it, so oof could've saved him we might not truly know tho
