Floyd Mayweather: 3 Minute Interview On Success & Self-Belief

2021 ж. 7 Мам.
120 972 Рет қаралды

In this Floyd Mayweather interview, I spoke with TBE following the Logan Paul vs Floyd Mayweather press conference (and Jake Paul "gotcha hat" incident) in Miami. This interview was recorded before the Logan Paul vs Floyd Mayweather fight at Hard Rock Stadium, which also featured Badou Jack vs. Dervin Colina, Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson vs Brian Maxwell, and others.

  • What he said about having a good team around you is true. I always felt like I needed to do everything myself, but it’s beneficial to surround yourself with others who have similar goals and it’s even better if you’re never the smartest person in the room. Other people in similar situations can always give you insight that you haven’t considered.

He’s undefeated has loads of money, it would be a shame to go on for too long and end up losing. I know Logan won’t beat Floyd but he’ll beat Logan and then wanna fight someone else and one day his punch resistance or reflexes will go because of age and he‘ll end up losing to someone he shouldn’t be losing to.

    • He looked rugged, that's for sure. But Floyd is a smart guy. Very calculated. So I wouldn't put it past him to have kept the rugged look on purpose to give off the impression he's old or somehow 'doesn't have it' anymore, just to sew doubt and add to the spectacle of him fighting a younger, bigger, fitter opponent.

    • I think that's Logan's best bet, too. The problem is Floyd is the greatest defensive fighter of all time. So he's probably got plenty of tools to counteract that. Just watch him versus Canelo for proof!

  • You are blessed for "cheating skills"... Still, no one can forget how you were supposed to lose to Maidana I fight, yes & also with Mosely fight. One time you were knockdown by one guy but still you won because you punched him unaware while he tried to apologize for hitting you bad. Those were still part of your records which a truly boxing fan would just don't & can't forget.

    • I hear that! But it’s really hard to attribute it all to that and deny his skill in a lot of other fights (e.g., Floyd’s speed, defense and fight IQ during that Canelo fight)

      @BrianJRoberts@BrianJRoberts3 жыл бұрын
    • Ok, I know because he was a bit matured that time... Of course he is quick but he is also quick to run and embrace most of the time. I understand he is protected with his record, there was a "secret pact" with "the powers that be"... Sorry Bro, I just knew something that maybe you don't. In fairness, he is still a better fighter than most of his contemporaries but not the greatest. He should have at least 2 loses.
