How I wrap my cosmetic present with this easy Origami gift bag.
Paper size 20cm x 20cm. Finished size is 5.5cm (w) x 5.5cm (d) x 7cm (h)
Use bigger size paper for bigger present.
When I was little in the 1950s my mother taught us origami. We made origami Christmas decorations for our Christmas tree every year and thought it was so much fun. I don’t know if it was popular then or not, but my mom bought a book on origami and being creative and artistic she passed the skill on to us kids. There was a store in our town that sold the origami paper so we had beautiful decorations on our tree each Christmas.
That sounds lovely! My mum taught me how to fold origami crane, boat, airplane and many others when I was little. Origami has always been "popular" in my own world. :)
@@Kimigami-uk wasn’t it fun and satisfying? I’m so thankful for that time.
Yes, absolutely. I was able to keep those ornaments for many years too but after a couple of moves they got crushed. I was very sad.
In the 1950s !? That is a long time ago :O So your like 70 now??
@@craftyunicorndream8865 I’m 69. So you’re close.
I love how there's no bullshit intro nor excessive explaining. Just peace and quiet and clear slow motions.
Exactly
Origami is a lovely art. I wish schools in USA would include this in its art programs or even when teaching about different cultures. Fascinating skill!
I was very fortunate to have an elementary school art teacher show us how to make a few basic origami figures. It sparked a very deep interest in me, and even now into my 30's it's one of my favorite things to do whenever I find myself with an extra sheet of paper.

we had a origami clas back in 5th grade
My daughter's school has an Origami Club as an after school extracurricular activity.
We did origami in highschool during Geometry class.....it was a nice break from math!! Lol
I love how this person is doing the process extremely slowly. Its helpful for slow learners like me. Thank you❤️

There’s something really satisfying about making this box will be in :-)
I first became interested in origami when I was 10yrs old. My grandad had just died and I gave my teach a letter from my mum, to say I would miss school for his funeral. But my teacher was talking with another teacher at the time, so she didn't read it straight away. Later on, she called me to her desk, just me. She taught me how to make an origami swan that flapped its wings when you pull the tail. I thought it was marvellous. I've gone on to make other things since, but the swan (or 'Crane' as some call it) is the one which brings most wonder tocthe faces of children. Thank you for teaching me Miss Barker.
Tip : I found that in the very end, if you tug the corners protruding the sides of the bag into the fold of the other side instead of the one on the side they protrude, you can make the bag close by itself
👍
Can confirm, I tried it

I didn't understand what you just said but thank you
thanks! tried this and it works
First I hated how slow it is but then I realized I can actually do it with you without keep pausing the video. Amazing!
Thanks 😉
I love this! I saw a similar bag but it was so hard to make but pretty, but this one has the same design and way easier! Thank you so much Kimigami!
You are so welcome!

That’s very sweet 🙂

@@Kimigami-uk I forgot to say but she really liked it :) Thank you again!!
Eco friendly, creative creation. And also best solution for polythene and plastic. Thanks a lot. This is the cheapest way to close environment.
So very elegant. Thank you!
God bless you for doing an origami gift bag, is sooo cute.
A lovely art taught with love and a lot of patience . Even the children can get the hang of it .Thank you
If the video is too slow for you, go to the setting wheel and increase the playback speed. I played it at 2X and paused when I needed to. Nice little bag! Thank you for the tutorial!
Hello, I don't know how to speak English, I'm translating, this gift package is beautiful ♥ !! Greetings from Argentina!

what a beautiful little gift bag - lovelier than even the gift might be!
Beautiful bags God bless you for sharing
Very nice and neat gift bag. I love it
I have never felt so calm and relaxed following an origami tutorial. Thank you
My pleasure, I'm so glad to hear
If you tuck the two small triangles into the opposite openings of the box, it will close without tape.
But by tucking the triangles into the sam side, it helps the bag hold its shape without opening~
Great idea, but I had to play it at 2x speed to watch it at normal pace. Thanks for the video.
that gift bag is adorable, perfect for my little Christmas presents for my friends! thank you so much for this wonderful and slow tutorial!!
Thank you for this great tutorial. After several attempts I finally figured out how to make them, copying you all the way. I did find that because you used dark card on a black background I found it difficult to see easily. My eyesight isn’t what it used to be. Not fun getting old. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
You are welcome, glad to hear you finally got it. 👍🏼
So simple, so nice, so elegant! It is really appreciated how you calmly show the technique and you can fold along!
Thank you, I’m glad to hear that :)
Perfection..💯
That was so peaceful, I nearly fell asleep. Thanks for not overexplaining.
Thanks 🥰
I love how the creater just takes her time and doesn’t rush and go wuhdhejdjrtgjrgjwrtgjgjr like the other KZheadrs. Great job 👏🏻
A person once told me "Origami comes from the heart and soul to create and to love with imagination to be your fullest to the extent of you" Love Res
I love to just watch what’s being done.
Great idea. Thank you for sharing this with us 😊
I like that you are careful with your paper
I fold this for my littles's m and m and raisin... They adored the little baggies so much. Thank you
Great idea! So fun for littles to get snacks in such a bag. 👏💜
Adorable. Thanks for sharing
These are lovely! I really appreciate the speed at which you folder them. It's slow enough that I can follow, yet I can speed it up later if I want to. Thanks for showing us how to fold a small gift bag! 👋🏼🙋🏽♀️✌🏽
You are so welcome!
This is so relaxing to watch and so cool to follow! I made my first origami bag thanks to you!
Wonderful!
Incredibly relaxing. Therapeutic tbh.
This is a good idea! I will buy my mom a nice necklace or bracelet for her bday, then keep it in an origami DIY gift bag. I'll tell her my gift is DIY too😂😂
Wow this is so cool and helpful 🎉
The process is slow, and for me it is absolutely perfect!
I tuck the up standing points into the opposite side of the bag ( between the layers). If done gently/carefully the bag stays beautiful and it creates a lovely closure. Give it a go
Que lindo , me gusta mucho el origami 😍. Gracias, saludos desde México 🇲🇽
Superb sharing Wonderful work
Beautiful little bag.I will try to do it 😊👏

Thankyou very much for making this tutorial, I made this to pack gifts for my brother. The end result is about 12x12x15,5 cm in size, it works beautifully.
That is awesome!
What size paper did u use? I wanna make a gift bag for someone and 20 cm seems ok size 🌚
@@aalyosha I use 49x49 cm paper, and sorry I need to revise my measurement, the gift box end size is 12x12 cm for the bottom part and the height is 15,5 cm. The shape is like cube with roof. May this help you

One of the best gift wrap video i was able to follow along with you and complete the craft. 👍
I'm glad you didn't add really obnoxious music to the video
Darn it! I don't have any pretty tape. Or decorative paper now that I think about it. Definitely saving this one to my 'Glorigami' playlist for later though! Thank you!!
You’re most welcome :)
If you use 15x15 newspaper it can turn out to be quite cute!

I remember that in the school I went to the teachers taught their students once a month to make origami. It was pretty fun. Luckily in the school where I go they also have it.

Tomorrow I'll meet my friends after 2 years, and I'll give them their Christmas gifts in this! These bags are really super cute! Thankuu so much!!!
Glad to know! Have a lovely time with your friends tomorrow.
Wow did it in one chance..its reallly helpful ❤
This would be very cute for little party favors.
This was super easy to make! Thanks for teaching in a slow pace!
Agreed
For closing, you can insert the extra tabs that were sticking out in the opposite side...😀
I just found this and wondered why she didn’t do that. Certainly going to add this fold to my gift wrapping arsenal though 😀

Perfect for Christmas!
It is so very well presented that you can feel the paper watching it. Thank you!

Can I suggest using a light background when folding dark paper. Easier to see all those clever folds😊
The tutorial is definitely cool, but I love, love this silence...
This is soooo cute I can't wait to make one and give my friends something in it!
Sameeee
I'm gonna make three of these for my friends. I'm not entirely sure what I'm gonna put in there, they'll get to choose what bag they get so it's more fun, but some of the ideas are homemade tinted lip gloss/balm, they'll all get a nice picture in there, maybe a bracelet, some stickers, stuff like that ^v^
Very cool! Thank you for the demo!
Thanks for watching!

Thank you for the fun Origami, I followed it to the Tee, and made one 3X the size. It was so easy and fun!! 🤗👏
Wonderful!
Amazing 😍
Your work is beautiful Congratulations
Dislikes from the people who didn't understood how to make this beautiful origami...😛
My theory is they went through the whole process before realizing they didn't have any pretty heart tape. *This absolutely enrages them.* They crush their tapeless gift bags in their hand forming a fist they use to punch yet another hole in the walls of their rented apartment. They then use that fist to literally smash that dislike button in a fit of rageful tears as they crumble into a pitiful tantrum on the floor. All 8 of them. OR... My second theory is that they are actually malicious, jealous fellow origami KZheadrs who are just seething with envy and fear. _Or..._ I don't know? Maybe they just hate pretty things? All I know is that we are better than them. Objectively.
@@mobiusstripper7279 very specific 😶

Hi. I have been trying to make that bag. I have already made 5. I love this video!
Thanks for the great video! We are making these bags to hold Valentine's candy for my kid's class. I really appreciated the slower pace. Normally, I am constantly having to pause origami videos, but it was nice to be able to just fold along with this one!
Wonderful! And you are so welcome!
Luv this. I bought gifts just to do the fun wrapping. Thank you!
