  • I am a surgeon (38 years old) and you guys are dead on the money that medicine is old. It’s amazing how the older guys are stuck in their old ways. And even more amazing how critical they are of the younger generation. With stem cells, peptides etc it’s crazy how we can get the body to heal. I am an ophthalmologist and we are using stem cell grafts for pterygium surgery. Makes the recovery almost instantaneous and gives such an awesome result. This just started being used at the end of my residency.

  • The whole situation with the fires on Maui is the most bizarre thing ever. If anyone says anything, they immediately get labeled as a “conspiracy theorist”. It’s literally as if the government is blatantly gaslighting everyone. Such a horrific event, and for the media to lie about it blows my mind. Praying for the family’s and the community in Lahaina🙌👏

  • It’s truly relieving to know that even our favorite pros use the word “struggle” to catch waves and have to take laps to land the perfect waves.I always thought I was the only one struggling and dying during paddle outs and getting ripped so far just to walk on the beach all the way back down.

  • This is awesome and hilarious hearing about your surgery experiences ! My father was an Anesthesiologist (and the general feeling in the medical community is that they are the smartest guys in the room). I also worked in pharmaceuticals for many years and can confirm that. As a cancer survivor, I have had at *least* 15-20 surgeries and the whole going under thing is so weird... Anytime I have a procedure, I try to relish that small moment when the Anesthesia hits before you go black, Lol ! Yes I am a child of the late 60s / early 70s, so yeah... LMAO ! As an aside - prayers up to all the folks in Maui - what a tragedy.

  • Stoked to see ya guys back! Great talk story session between both of you, discussing alot of this past year's adventures. My input about steroids (I've weightlifted, tons of cardio sports, surf....something every single day and am 49), maybe try just focus on natural foods as much as possible (taking in all your daily servings of fruits/veggies, nuts/seeds, water) and filling your energy levels need for protein as well. The most fit guys around the world I've seen are those guys that live in the country side somewhere living off the land (climbing coconut trees with machetes, carrying bananas, etc....prime example, Jamaican country folk). Anyhow, looking forward to your next podcast! Thank you guys!

  • Golds gym Venice is called “The Mecca” in the fitness world, because of the amount of high level bodybuilders like Arnold and Lou ferrigno(the original hulk) that considered it their home gym in the 80s. And hopping on gear would not only help your recovery for surfing, but your paddle power and endurance would be INSANE.

So the people who experience that are people who have gotten enough of the dosage to paralyze but not enough to put them under OR enough to paralyze and put you under but not enough to numb the pain. Or something like that

  • -thanks for speaking out about Maui - For surfers no need to cycle uses a small trt dose of testosterone 120-180mg a week of test for endurance and recovery and 1-2ius a night of growth hormone for recovery sleep and injury healing, too much test or something stronger and endurance goes down, you’ll get stronger lose fat and gain muscle even at the same weight if you want to grow on it just eat more - CrossFit is fun but so much risk of injury

    @matthewj9832@matthewj98326 ай бұрын
