His fans are really out there asking why the girls never spoke up before. You guys have obviously never been sexually assaulted, which is good for you and I hope it remains that way. However, you must understand that these kinds of things are not easy to admit even if you are the victim, especially of a superstar with rabid fans who will threaten you. Imma vent a bit bc this whole ordeal has me feeling really betrayed. So long rant coming through.. I was a fan on Kris years ago and even made posts on Tumblr defending his departure from EXO. I sympathized with him at first when he mentioned that it was due to health reasons, but then he was BUSY. Like booked and working all over in China busy. I think his one of his first projects after EXO was a lead role for a Chinese film set in Prague. It wasn't until later that I realized he kinda sucked for blindsiding the guys like that when he left. I don't think they knew what was going on at all. They had a performance in China and when it was time to return to Korea, he told them he wanted to visit his parents and would be staying a little longer. He promised that he'll follow them back later. He never did. I remember they were actively promoting at the time and Suho legit begged him to come back and apologize to the company AT A MUSIC SHOW. They were also like one or two weeks away from their first ever tour and suddenly everyone was scrambling to reorganize EVERYTHING because he basically flipped them off and dropped them on their heads. EXO was hopeful too, for a while.. and then they started unfollowing him on ig. I remember Baekhyun being the very last one. Fast forward a bit a few years later and I watch a video of one of his newer live performances. I was shocked. He didn't improve at all. If anything, his abilities seems to have regressed. That was the final nail in the coffin for me. He didn't look or sound like the Kris I had remembered him being. The idol I had once admired seemed so arrogant then and I couldn't find any reason to support him anymore. I closed that chapter and I didn't look back. But seeing this news about him come to light... this sonovabitch really pulled a cloak over our eyes didn't he... I feel so betrayed He was so well regarded by the people around him. By his friends and co-workers and fans. Either he was always a douchebag and managed to hide it for years or somewhere along the line he turned into such a big monster, no amount of glitz or glamour could hide him anymore. If SM knew this side of him, then they hid it pretty well. But again, I don't think EXO knew AT ALL. They looked up to him and confided with him. The moments were there! They'd tease and play around with him and call him Galaxy-hyung and you just couldn't script that. Just typing that broke my heart. Heck Tao looked up to him the most. Felt the most betrayed when he left. And when he left the company too, I remember him admitting that he felt sorry for being mad at him now that he felt frustrations with the company too. Luhan I think kept in touch, at least for a while. And it wasn't too long ago where all three made an appearance as mentors at that girl group survival show in China. Honestly, EXO was and still is too good for him. These new developments are insane. I feel like I'm reading a poorly written novel and I'm at the point where I just wanna burn the book and shove it into a pit. Just own up to everything man. You've been backed into the corner at last and the Chinese government doesn't look like they'll be letting up on the chokehold they have on you. Be the guy you said you were at the beginning and do what's right. For the people you've turned your back on, for every person you've hurt... just turn yourself in.

As an exol since obsession era, I did not feel much because I wasn't there when EXO was 12. I always followed EXO as 9 till this day. But yeah I felt bad for EXO and exols during that time. I will tell you, when I saw EXO showtime for the first time, I did not feel good about Kris at first glance. My instincts. Like there was something.....off. But I brushed it off because I overthink a lot and thinking that it must have been one of those overthinking moments. I followed the ex members' solo careers. But I stopped following Kris after a while. I started to doubt that my first impression of Kris was an overthinking moment because I got this bad feeling EVERYTIME I saw him. I'm an EXO-L since the Obsession era too and I knew OT9 first. But because I wanted to know other members and Lay too(since I didn't get to see that much of him), I started watching EXO Showtime. I loved all the other members except Kris. It wasn't like I hate him or something but I somehow couldn't feel connected to him. I couldn't get myself to vibe with him and felt like there was something off about him. Nevertheless, I followed EXO OT12 and supported OT12 everywhere(because I didn't hate Kris either) but deep down myself I knew I don't like or trust Kris like I trust other members(including Luhan and Tao). As for if SM/EXO members knew… I think it’s possible they didn’t. People that know what they’re doing is wrong, or know other people would see it was wrong, usually do a really good job of trying to cover it up. It’s wholly possible he just is a pathological liar. But then again, if they noticed his interest in younger trainees, they did what was best for everyone and got rid of him.
As a retired social worker, I know pedophiles are very good at manipulating not just their victims but also the adults around them. They always seem to have reasonable excuses for any behaviors that seem odd. In almost all of the cases leading to arrest, most of the adults around them were shocked at first, then started really looking at their behaviors.
Kpop companies keep tight control over idols by having them live in dorms, assigning them managers and managing their schedules. Kris probably knew that by going to China and being famous already, he would have much more freedom and control over his time and activities and wouldn’t have those restrictions. This would give him opportunities to be a predator that he didn’t have in Korea.

You know when you’re training you are not with the group you will debut with, right? 🤨🙄 Example, Johnny from NCT trained with Exo because it was ideal to have him in the group, till they switched him out for Sehun. Kai and Taemin trained side by side, and were in the same trainee class but shocker, shocker Taemin debut in the 2nd wave with Shinee while Kai debuted at the end of the 2nd wave/beginning of the 3rd wave with Exo

I never dug deep into his reason or followed his life, but years later as I saw him become a totally different person that I thought he was to be when he was still in EXO, I started feeling iffy about him. Being a Kpop company hard isn't it, if they kick a member of idol because of scandal they get hated, if they protect the idol they get hated, if they overwork an idol they get hate , if they neglected an idol because not profitable they get hated, and Jesus even just because they dont renew their contract for some reason they also get hated even trough they never have a history of mistreat their idol........... people forget Kpop company there to make money not to take care their idol..... some treat their idol better some just dont care ... that the same if you work in any other company .
