I'm just a foreigner but all the times I see trump talking, I think to myself, how much of a joke this guy is, and yet there are people who still defend him. I can't understand how can people see their president acting so childish and yet think he is brilliant. The amount of times he said "i'm better than everyone", last time I saw him saying he was better at the "internet" than anyone. How can people think it is fine to have a president like this? the amount of misinformation and lies he speak just to be debunked by his own team, its insanity to look up to a guy like this. Just my foreign 2 cents.

Trumpism is a cult at this point. You cannot get members out of a cult by attacking their leader or getting in their faces, it just reinforces their beliefs. Trump also says earlier in the call "the US has been very good to the Ukraine, I'm not sure it's been reciprocal." It's also good to keep in mind that this is all part of a 2-3 minute long conversation about what ukraine wants from the US and what trump wants from the ukraine in exchange.

Reports say the phone call lasted 30 minutes. The summary only covers 10 minutes. Since it was created and released in an effort to exonerate Trump, we can assume they omitted all the most damning and incriminating parts. And yet it still is ironclad proof of a criminal act. BTW, the whistleblower and several witnesses have said that there IS a verbatim transcript, which the White House has refused to release.

I have no idea why trump released that document, likely because he didn't bother to read it, relying instead on his memory that it was a "perfect call."

mngentry It was the whole package, really: I’ve watched a lot of ‘American Dad’ over the years- particularly the first 9 or 10 seasons, and have pretty much memorised most of the dialogue...because I’m a sad, sad man haha. Plus, whenever I see/hear Karl Rove’s name mentioned; apart from thinking what an evil turd that man is, my mind instantly goes to that particular ‘American Dad’ episode haha. Okay...every time I watch a Colbert clip, I tell myself "Okay, I'm just gonna watch it. This time, I won't post a comment." And then every time, without fail, some thing or things make me feel compelled to do just that, so here we go. 1.) I'm gonna point out something light hearted and relatively insignificant to start with. Trump's misspelling "oppidite" was more than just a typo. Even if the D were an S, it still wouldn't be right; the word is spelled "opposite." 2.) John Kelly, who basically said he knew Trump would get impeached without a mitigating force to keep him in line, is *not* a Democrat, or a liberal, or even a progressive member of the Republican party. He is a staunch conservative (as an example, he told people at a demonstration trying to abolish ICE to "go to hell.") He's a right winger, he's just not blindly loyal to the disgustingly corrupt Trump. 3.) John Kelly reportedly told Trump not to "hire a yes man," who wouldn't "tell [him] the truth." Then Stephanie Grisham said John Kelly was "totally unequipped to handle the genius of our great president." She was apparently auditioning to *be* that ass kissing "yes (wo)man" Kelly warned us about. And it's nauseating. 4.) Alexander Vindman is a *God damned American hero*. The man devoted his life to serving this nation, and is also a conservative Republican. He didn't speak out against Trump to try to hurt him, or weaken our nation; he spoke out because he, like all American soldiers, took an oath to defend this country against ALL threats, foreign *and domestic*, and that's exactly what Trump is. A domestic threat. Immigrant or not, Lieutenant Colonel Vindman embodies everything that this nation is supposed to stand for, and it's absolutely revolting that Trump and his supporters would question the integrity or loyalty of someone who represents the things the Lt. Col. does. It's downright infuriating. 5.) All other arguments aside, I don't think the Donald attacked Vindman out of malice (although that's what it amounts to), I think he did it because he felt that he had to. Looking at Vindman, it's as plain as day to even the least intelligent person (Trump) that nobody would believe Donald Trump's lies over the word of a United States Army Lieutenant Colonel with a purple heart. Trump had to attack his loyalty and integrity because there was really nothing else he could attack. He didn't have any other options. And it would still take someone with major brain damage to believe Trump instead of Vindman. ...yeesh, that one kinda got away from me. I didn't plan on being so wordy; I guess I didn't realize how much I needed to say. But, anyway...That's it. I think I can return to breathing normally now. Phew.

Besides voting, we can't do much about the fact that these high functioning retards has a perspective on life we don't understand. The truth is being placed in front of them and they will continue to fight the "Right Fight" just to be right. What we have is a bunch of high functioning retards that are "Confirmation Biased". I just hope enough people vote in 2020 to get this man out....if not the Constitution will do it for us and Trump can't and will never be president in 2025.... that's a FACT!
