In this tutorial we make a basic knife lanyard using paracord. Consisting of snake knots, an optional bead and the knife lanyard knot, this lanyard is a good starting point for making knife lanyards.

First-timer here. I completed this, including the diamond knot at the end in about ten minutes, by following along with what you were doing. It turned out absolutely perfect! Many thanks!
Wonderful video, very clear instructions on both knots, thanks!
Agreed
your tutorial is extremely well done
I used a waxed cotton shoelace to make mine, and turned out beautifully. Thank you 🙏
Excellent tutorial!! Worked perfectly my first time!!! I chose to not place a bead. THANK YOU!!!
You have the best tutorials by far! Thankyou!
Very doable even for a beginner. Thanks for the great video!
Thank you! This was my first lanyard. Smooth video. Good details and views!
I've used this video many times now for a reference. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for this awesome finish knot... took some work but i got it!
Very nice I was thinking of coming threw my Bushcrafter knife handle then in to 5 snake knots. Next about 6 inches of twins into a crown knot but with a ranger bead for adjusting the lanyard. On the vey end a chrome bead and finish with the lanyard knot
I made this I have carried it on my CRKT EDC knife for ages. I ❤it.
Thank you. Such a nice clear demonstration
\ Easily the best demonstration of how to tie a snake knot. Hand motions alone give away so much dexterity which improves the snake knots shape. And I loved the easy demonstration of how to tie what I would regard as a diamond knot but the name doesn't matter, it's how elegant and uncluttered the display that produces the knot provides. I give this expert the highest rating. Thank you so much for making each knot easy to create after your straightforward and easy to follow demonstration.
Absolutely awesome thank you nice detail
Great tutorial thanks for sharing!
This is exactly the lanyard I was looking for. Excellent easy to follow instructions! 👍
Exact opposite for me Lol!
Holy smokes, I'm first for once! I love how detailed these videos are. Thanks!
Спасибо! Классный мастер-класс, научилась, наконец, бриллиантовый узел плести 👏🏼

Excellent video, thank you.
Thanks for posting!
Nicely done!!
Thanks mark, gonna make it.
Thank you.
Excellent video. Very easy to follow. The amount of supplies is always helpful. Thanks. Keep it up.
Took me almost two hours for the finishing diamond knot. I didn't know how to tighten it to the bead so I kept undoing it then finally actually listening to your tightening three times and it took me three times lmao.
You got it done- that is what matters. Knot work teaches patience and persistence, but it also requires it. Good job!
Despite the comments from a few-who may be best labelled ‘knotheads’-your presentation was well done and the result was very nice. The knot at the end is a struggle, but as many know KZhead offers a way to alter the speed of the clip. Slowing it down will aid those-myself among them-who were awarded too many thumbs at birth. Keep up the good work!
Thanks Mark
Easy to understand and easy to follow. Thanks!
This is really cool and exactly what I’m looking to do. Question: would this same technique work with leather (shoelaces) and if so, how would you finish since you can’t melt like parachord
Very nice my man
This is my go-to lanyard for when my knuckles daren't try anything fancier. Thanks for the excellent vijayo. :thumbs-up:
thank you so much !! very nice video !
Thank you for video my friend👍
Thank you so much for posting this!I have been wanting to try this for sometime and it also looks like a wonderful project and hobby.O just subscribed to your channel 😊👍
Great job on the video, what size is the hole on the bead in mm thank you
super!❤
What were the knives shown in the video?
Thank you
Nice video
So good. I subscribe now !
Nice...thx
Большое вам спасибо!!!
If I can follow this - then anyone can! Great tutorial! Thank you so much!
Espectacular! Un gran trabajo! Maravilloso! Un gran saludo desde Mar del Plata, ARGENTINA!! Exitos!!
Paráda. 👍
man the ball knot is so hard to get close and up and tight.
Thanks!
Fantásticos beads, genial diseño gracias por compartir
This is actually called a fob. A lanyard has a large enough opening to fit your hand through but a fob is meant to be decorative or for folders it gives you something to grab onto in case the knife falls deep into your pocket
II've been trying to tie that bead knot for 4 days and I cant get it right
Hi man, where can I purchase those beads in your intro from?
Cool lighter!! What kind is it?
Thank you.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
I got the knots but i cant get both ends in my bead.
I like you video. Luis Alberto.
Where did you get those head beads
Looks so complicated but once you try it it’s easy and looks awesome
Muy bonito trenzado
How long is the cord please
I wish you would have left it flat in the end. But once you've pickwd it up and moved it i cant see where exactly youre going. I think it is obvious where you're going but I keep getting it wrong. Thank you, though.
👍🍻
You had me lost at the first knot.
From where your accent is?
W❤w
For me its easier to build rocket.
Would be better if you talked during the actual tying of the damn knots
Seriously, this would be much easier to understand if you chose to use two strands of different colour for left and right strand. I'm only seeing a blue mess, especially at the finishing knot.
Losing my fuckin mind right now tryna get the finishing knot right, the rest was easy
Some people never get things LOL
@@brdllc Can you tie your laces yet lol
@@troops1980 lmfaoo I eventually got it but still don’t know what I did different just spend like 45 mins redoing it over and over
@@brdllc Nice one, they do get easier the more you do them mate
The "end" knot was too much for me
The knife lanyard knot. It is a useful knot to know- you can use it for zipper pulls, key fobs etc. Mark
Right. I watched the video on 0.25 speed and I was finally able to get the snake knot down but I will just have to keep watching the end. I’m using 275 cord which, I think, makes it a little harder
@@Paracordguildsorry, my reply to his comment wasn’t a criticism. Your video is as clear as day and the best one I have watched, I’m just not good with this stuff
The knot at the end is horrible
cant do it sorry
Dude you had me start out with “3 feet of paracord” and i ran out on the last knot so I had to restart… why not just tell use 6 feet and we can cut off the excess….
This is literally impossible
You pause at moments that don't need it, and rush through parts where you should slow down to show what you're doing.
Nope crappy
Not as easy as it looks
Sehr informativ.....greetings from Germany.
