I just watched the whole video and I gotta say: • Ben was very respectful to her, even if she was pissing him off and making him feel all types of things. He was a good guest and to be honest, he didn’t shine her in a bad light, he didn’t say anything really rude about her, and didn’t try to push her as this big mean rude old woman. • Mrs Kadie seems like she is a person who genuinely cares so, so much for the animals, and I don’t think she realizes that what she’s doing is wrong. She does realize that it immensely bothers people, but I think her perspective is that she has to be like this person who pushes people to the limits and offend people just to prove the point. • This video was very well thought out, with almost no jokes, showing that Ben wasn’t trying to make a fool of her, or make fun of her at all. • What I think is that Kadie seems like a misunderstood person who does drastic things to prove her point and feelings about being vegan, because she cares so deeply about the animals, which I can get. But it doesn’t mean that she should offend all sorts of people and make them feel uncomfortable and violated in any way. and this is coming from a 12 soon to be 13yr old so that’s that I wrote a whole Ted talk 💀

I know this was a year ago, but considering he himself struggled with an ED, Ben’s a lot stronger and more mature than I am, because the minute TVT called EDs “thinking disorders”, I probably would’ve screamed at her or slapped her.

As a Muslim, that part in the video really hits home. The cab driver didn’t want to explain, but I would be happy to explain why we don’t eat pigs. We don’t eat pigs because they roll around in mud and are dirty, has nothing to do with veganism. Also yes Muslims can be vegan it says nowhere in the Quran that we can’t. But at Arab gatherings 75% of the food has meat in it and like 90% of it isn’t vegan at all! So it’s pretty hard to be vegan as a Muslim. But if you are vegan it’s your choice and I’m not trying to degrade you! This is just an explanation that he didn’t want to say which I totally understand! It’s his privacy!

re-watching this a year later is so interesting. you can tell that she DOES hold a lot of empathy, she just doesn't hold it where she should. of course it's important to respect animals; but you should also hold that respect for other humans. its that simple.

Notes I have found in this documentary: 1. She makes creepy jokes about ben 2. She has a husband 3. She wasnt always vegan 4. She would be a nice old lady if she wasnt so toxic abt veganism 5. She talks to strangers about what they eat (the uber driver) 6. She enjoys talking about the young boys sleeping in her basement 7. She takes peoples shoes and runs around in them at 3:00 am (that vegan teacher at 3:00 am) 8. She talks to strangers about their private life despite them saying no 9. She invalidates peoples beliefs 10. Shes scared of people that get mad at her when she invades their privacy 11. She randomly starts feeling 12. She has young fans that want pics with her 13. Even though when she was young she road a real horse shes upset that young children ride plastic horses 14. Wants strangers to do weird dances with her 15. She pretended that ben gave her a outfit that barely covered herself 16. She pretended like ben had been kidnapped by her There are more but im lazy

If she criticized me for being a Christian and for me explaining that in many instances in the Bible, God (After the Flood) says he made animals for us to eat ( example- Genesis 9:3) I would be hurt and would defend Christianity and my relationship with Christ and obedience to his laws. As a beginner vegan activist, it's so interesting to watch her... It's like the embodiment of all the thoughts all vegans have at some point in their lives, but absolutely deprived from any filters, any consideration of human emotion, experience or even psychology. I was much "angrier" when I was young, I didn't understand how people worked, especially because I'm autistic (which she might be as well) but growing up I made an effort and I've realized that kindness and understanding is the key to a human heart. Guilt and shame lead to backtracking, burn out or the worst thing, which is her biggest crime, making people hate the entire concept of change. I don't think she knows how much harm she's doing for her own cause and it pains me. It pains me that she doesn't know why people hate her and she's almost used to it at this point - people hate activists. They don't. Some do, but that's absolutely not the default. I've changed the minds of many people around me, family and friends and sometimes I felt frustrated, but ultimately it never leads to anything. Remember to be kind to animals AND humans 🐤🐄🌱🩷

the fact that ben was so kind to her and didn't say his actual thoughts through all the times she was overstepping or acting CRAZY really shows how respectful and good this man is. he tried to match her vibe every time and didn't say any offensive things, something many of us probably couldn't do. thank you for being an amazing person ben:) also his little giggles I love him 😭😭
Forced veganism is just a way of covering up and controlling anorexia.
I dunno if I would call it respectful... If Ben had voiced his inner thoughts she would've a. toned it down a lot b. refused to continue filming or c ( what I find most likely ) got into an argument with him... none of these things would've helped the video. It wasn't out of respect to her that he didn't voice them. If that was the case he wouldn't have posted this for everyone to see, including her. You can also tell by watching the video that she trusted him... One example is the part where she asks him to pretend that he found her the giraffe blanket thing. You can tell that she genuinely thought he would edit it like she had suggested. I'm not a fan of the vegan teacher. I love Bens videos. I found this video interesting. I love how Ben is basicly vegan and drinks non dairy milk and the only animal he does eat is subsanibly sourced and rare for him to eat. He's one of the most chill people ever and without trying to push for it has made me want to start eating like him. Thank you ben and sorry you had to experience this.
That’s how it honestly should be. 3 wild hogs and 2 deer is an abundance of meat for our family that typically gets dispersed out to other families too, and leases well over a year. Now I wonder how many bodies add up when we would go shopping for just one roast each week. And of course we’d be buying multiple cuts. But all from different animals, when it could’ve all just come from one. Hunting and sourcing one’s own meet is genuinely 1000 times better for everyone. But if you can’t do that, still making sure it’s coming from ethically and responsibly sourced places is key.
@@brie3679 We don't need to kill any of them though. Also hunting is only "sustainable" because so few people do it. If even 1% of the population hunted all deer would be extinct in a matter of months.
