    • True. I am going to add, that John is saying he approves of a people that has been in the land for 50,000 years, and after 400 years of inhabiting with them, still said no. What would God say? Would he point to them, and ask "what have you done with them?" How will you answer, after you were told to treat others as you would be treated, which the Aborigines are part of the call. How are you going to answer? You wonder why NZ always is adamant on saying no to joining with Australia.@@normanberg9940

    • Her lack of distinctions really doesn't help. She's implicitly lumping Hamas and Muslims (including those living in Europe) together, as if people demonstrating for Palestine in the West are exactly the same as Hamas terrorists in Gaza. She starts the conversation by virtue signaling on behalf of Israel, relies on a victimhood narrative and is entirely one-sided in her views. Not sure she's really helping, to be honest, seems like she has a chip on her shoulder and a niche perspective on a subset of Muslims that shouldn't be applied wholesale. Either that, or she needs to start making some proper distinctions, rather than invoking negative emotions and implicitly associating them with everything Islamic/Muslim. I don't like toxic feminine strategies when used by the progressive left (guilt by association, victimhood narrative, poisoning the environment rather than attacking the target directly, etc), but not by my own side either. Other than that, she's a smart lady, so I just kind of expected more from her than partisanship, punditry and demagoguery. *Edit: I did like the bit about seed packets at the end :).

      @PeeGee85@PeeGee856 ай бұрын
    • @@PeeGee85 I think your comments are very important. It's a bad time, when emotions are running high, for anyone - even someone as brave and inspiring as Ali - to start by saying "I support Israel", as if by implication the opposite also applies - when people could interpret "the opposite" as meaning "I support Palestinians" rather than I support Hamas", who are a malevolent subset of Muslims. Or indeed as if Western demonstrators, even young and stupid ones failing to understand they are encouraging the evil of anti-semitism, are equivalent to terrorists by trying (inadequately) to point out that the Palestinians have a background and a story and an entitlement to human rights, and to have their viewpoint expressed, heard, and negotiated about. As John Anderson said in this, the line between good and evil runs through every human heart - which includes Jewish hearts and Muslim hearts. (I think incidentally that Ali does not understand Nietzsche, but I'm certainly not claiming that I do as most people don't understand Nietzsche. They could get a bit of a better idea about Nietzsche, if interested, by listening to Jordan Peterson when he mentions him in his lectures, and perhaps by reading John Richardson on Nietzsche. And from Brett Andersen, when he isn't in the tragically unfortunate situation of one of his mental breakdown phases, as his sane stuff is brilliant.)

    • @PeeGee85 that's her experience. No one can take that away from her. I don't think she's lumping Muslims in with Hamas, but is discouraged by the support for evil terrorism from anyone. Some of my family identify with Palestine even though they are American born and march for the support for Hamas actions. They forget their Christian morals and values especially when our ancestors were beheaded by the same type of evil spirit. It's weird and sad.

    • Replacing the madness of woke with another madness isn’t any solution. Preaching from the high altar of privilege with its own prejudices is another madness. Coalescing voices is playing to their prejudices. Society needs to move towards a harmony of conflicting views to find agreement on which everyone can subscribe and commit for reasonable change. This isn’t that harmony. From the outset endorsing Israel is creating conflict with Palestine omitting the long historical context of this dispute. That’s inexcusable.

Why do we need government and tyrants to dictate to us when we are all responsible for and govern ourselves? Politicians and government have only ever created problems and conflict throughout history by destroying people’s ability to think for themselves and govern themselves. I think this new alliance has so much potential and one of the things it should do is help us all break down our programming that we need government and politicians at all.

The idea that we aren't responsible enough to decide where to spend our own money and that, without tax, the world would fall apart is ridiculous. We're all adult humans, not children. If we collectively started taking more responsibility for ourselves instead of relying on "mum and dad" (the state), who knows how far we could spiritually evolve?

      @drewrussell@drewrussell6 ай бұрын
    • @@drewrussell Hi Drew I have never paid much tax as a stay at home mum & wife most of my life, but I so appreciate many ways government does spend money. Every time I go anywhere it is on a government built & maintained road, when I gave birth to my babies, or when I had to take them to hospital in the middle of the night for some reason - it was to a public hospital, they got a good education at schools, as older members of the family needed support services & care, there were government funded/subsidised services. I can't imagine what our country would look like if all these services were left to individuals to arrange & put in place as each one felt like doing. I imagine most people are like me & have had the benefit of using government provided infrastructure & services (roads, rubbish tips, schools, hospitals, aged care facilities, police services, hospitals, sporting facilities, etc, etc) that far outweigh anything I could ever pay for as an individual.

What we are losing in this ability to contextually analyse what part of beliefs are related to the environment and historical context in which they emerged. On the side of protestant fundementalists, they cling to the book as if it was a life raft disconnected from the larger ship long ago, any influence since leaving the ship considered to be chaff. Teach them the command of Jesus "As I have loved you, love one another. People will know you are my disciples if you love one another." Read 1st Corinthians chapter 13 to them, so they understand what that love is. Plant those seeds, water, protect and FIGHT for their survival. Fight against the flood of lies and corruption. Teach them that Jesus is our ark, and if they enter the ark they will be saved from the flood. Your children may surprise you. They can have more strength than perhaps you realize.

Even though these videos obviously do not relate directly to my personal circumstances, I will say that I genuinely am filled with hope watching these discussions. Even though I do not think I will be able to contribute to this project in any meaningful way, with not being able to successfully bear responsibility even for myself at the moment, I will definitely be rooting for you and hope this movement helps significantly address the problems that beset us now as a community and (western) civilization writ large, and pave the way to a bright and yet undiscovered an thus interestingly new future for everybody. • Actually, the challenge is to reconcile the tolerating intolerance conundrum. Soon we will need to decide whether to fight Islam which will require our society to give up some of those virtues discussed, for at least a period of time, to eliminate the threat. There is no peaceful resolution with Islam, nor is there a way to retain the ideal of freedom when violently taking away from another, although justified. We've heard Conservative pundits pointing out the dangers to the West for a decade. We've heard what they believe should be protected. What we haven't heard from them is how to achieve this other than, "We need to talk more about it". Sorry that won't stop the spread of Islam or the neo-marxists.

    • This was in no way complex? & I would even argue that JP’s attempts to pushback on a few statements made here were responded to with either some fable or other OR as ‘Churchill’ once said, or whilst out with Tom dick and Harry ‘they said’ Blah blah blah.

  • Ayaan, is such an inspiration! She's taken on so much risk to give her children a better life than she had. This is my dream. All the speakers were wonderful, but Ayaan has street cred that slays!

  • To Ayan: it warmed my heart to hear you describe yourself as a Christian! For years I prayed for you and I will continue to pray for your continued journey!

  • As someone who would be considered an atheist (agnostic at best), I appreciate all of you guys and what you stand for. I don’t share any of your beliefs and I also don’t think they’re necessary for your arguments but I appreciate you none the less. I especially love listening to Jordan and John (I am Australian, John is fantastic) Keep up the great work! Cheers
