    • @@claudecmcdonald He wasn't necessarily a co-founder, Elon Musk simply bought his way into the company. What the original founders of Tesla said was, Elon Musk simply thought up of the idea of charging ports, specifically made only for Tesla. Basically, Tesla cars can't roll up to any random gas station for electric cars, they have to have charging ports exclusively for Tesla cars. Eventually though, Elon Musk invested so much money into Tesla, he could kick the original founders out of the board, making him the sole CEO. He tried changing history in the early days to make himself appear as a co-founder, when that is not the case. Especially if anyone can do a simple google search and see how he pretty much forced his way into being a CEO.

  • fun fact about the stainless steel plating: because it has no paint coating on it, some people whove bought one have experienced the actual body of the car rusting within less than a week of buying one, and the cleaning instructions tell you so many things you cant do that basically the only way you can clean it is to regularly wipe down the entire car with window cleaner in a shaded room. yes, thats right, as it turns out the paint coating that every single other car in the world comes with *isn't* just for looks, but actually to preserve the car's chassis.

  • 11:26 "Tesla's Cope about 'no-paint finish', they basically said, 'cars overtime, they age, they rust, and by not being painted, it's going to be incredibly resistant to that.'" This is 100% false. Due to the fact that the Cybertruck's base model has no paint or even a clear finish, just being exposed steel, it rusts extremely easily. Multiple people have seen it start to rust in less than 2 weeks, and I've seen a report of somebody who's received their Cybetruck with rust already on it. One of the primary reasons for a car to be painted, regardless of what one wants it to look like, is to prevent rust and other damage to the body over time. It's the same reason why almost all exposed metal and wood things have some sort of paint, cover, wrap, or some other finish.

    @johnjohnson9560@johnjohnson956018 күн бұрын
    • The irony is Mazda had issues with rusting cus of issues with their paint. You'd think folk would remember that and go "oh gee, paint is kinda important"

    • Stainless steel doesn't rust painted or not. If there is rust on that thing it's on the surface and should be easily brushed off.

      @everythingmotorsport@everythingmotorsport16 күн бұрын
    • That very much depends on the Stainless Steel,@@everythingmotorsport. While the Cybertruck is more resistant to rust than most other finish-less bare metal things, it's far from 'rust-proof', and none of the sources I can find ever state that this rust can just be brushed off. "In addition, do not use, and/or immediately remove, chemical, corrosive, or non-pH neutral substances (including but not limited to: acidic liquids or materials, grease, oil, tree resin, dead insects, tar spots, road salt, industrial fallout, etc.) as they can cause corrosion on the vehicle's exterior. CAUTION Tesla is not liable for any damage caused by failing to refer to official guidance." - Tesla Cybertruck Owner's Manual | Cleaning Section "Just picked up my Cybertruck today. The advisor specifically mentioned the cybertrucks develop orange rust marks in the rain and that required the vehicle to be buffed out." - Cybertruck Owner's Club | Forums > Tech > Cosmetic/Physical Upkeep, Maintenance, Repairs, Detailing, Protection > Rust Spots/Corrosion is the Norm "Refining steel does not automatically mean making it stainless. Depending on the proportion of chromium, titanium, nickel, nitrogen and other additives, this results in very different properties. These range from better formability and a maximum degree of hardness to permanent rust resistance, even against acids." "It is not only the photos with numerous traces of rust that are remarkable. Tesla's cleaning recommendations for the Cybertruck also confirm the impression that the steel grade is one of the less resistant variants." - Notebookcheck | "Tesla Cybertruck rusts: Not all stainless steel is the same" | Expert Reviews and News on Laptops, Smartphones and Tech Innovations > News > News Archive > Newsarchive 2024 02

  • As a certified member of the Elon Must Hate Club board, allow me to supplement some information on this disaster of a product. 1. Owners report the stainless steel body rusts extremely quickly if not maintained all the time and if you have dead bugs on it the terms say you need to clean it ASAP, as you mentioned since it has no paint or any coating. You **can** get a coating from Tesla to prevent this... for an additional $2-3k (idr which). 2. Being the body is made up of the aforementioned practically freshly machined steel, the edges are incredibly sharp. Closing the door on your fingers will slice them off but even if you hit your shin on the side of the door it'll slash you open. There's zero sensors on anything automatically closing, so anything that does that can cut off whatever you stick in it. 3. You mentioned about the rear view camera but in addition, if you have the tailgate down (such as if you're hauling something (like someone who drives a truck might do)) the camera points down at the road as it's on the tailgate instead of, idk, the bumper. 4. My mom's Honda Civic can offroad better than this thing. It's demonstrably terrible at driving up uneven inclines. 5. The "Full Self Driving" (ironically Tesla now calls it 'Supervised Full Self Driving' because of a lawsuit where someone was killed because of it) both does not work on the Cybertruck (as you mentioned), but to make up for that it's really good at killing people when you do have it. 6. In general the Cybertruck is extremely shitty, where some people have driven it off the lot and had it immediately break down. This thing is laughably bad. To compound how bad a time this is for a recall, in addition to him begging for a $50 bil bonus, Tesla recently fired roughly 10% of their workers (most of whom weren't informed until they got to work and their keycards wouldn't let them in (which as a reminder is what happened to Twitter as well)). To use Elon's own words, they really dug their grave with the Cybertruck. Fuck Elon.

    • @@MonsterJuiced Oh yeah? Well, I'm literally a god among humans and the inventor of solar rails. Where's _my_ fanclub? You don't attach "literally" to something you want to sound true. It has to actually be true, as a requirement. Elon Musk is a _businessman_ - and I even use *that* word really generously, because he makes terrible decisions with the companies he now owns - and he just happened to invest in the right companies with his father's emerald mine blood-money. He's a college dropout who published *ZERO* papers in his life. Little buddy doesn't even have a *bachelor's degree.* I'm ten times as much a mathematician as he's a "rocket scientist". You can stretch the truth and lick Elon Musk's boot as a "visionary" and a "shrewd investor" all you like, but the moment you go out and bold-facedly *lie* that he's an _engineer,_ I'm slapping you right across ya face.

    • @@oskariKN25 You're short sighted. He works with his staff, he works on the cars, the rockets, link, the boring company.. he's known for putting in 18-20 hour days and sleeping on his office floor. He is actively involved in the work his companies do. He's not your average lazy middle manager who does nothing but berate his staff all day like your boss does. They're his ideas, He's hiring the best, brightest and smarted programmers, engineers, scientists and designers he can find to work on these. No idea why you're shitting on him so much when he, and his staff are burning billions trying to figure better solutions for the world. He almost went completely bankrupt several times now. Just because he was smart enough to use his parents to get started, wouldn't you? He earned his real money from Paypal and went from there. Yes he plays video games and yes he's in touch with the culture. Nobody said you had to be incredibly boring and closed off to be a great inventor. You really think Nikola Tesla never hired anyone to help him? Pull your head out your backside and do some proper research.

    • @@MonsterJuiced the irony of comparing him to tesla when he is edison of this age. It baffles me that people give this cringe outdated meme poster the benefit of the doubt, he is billionaire that made most of his net worth from overinflated tesla stock, yes the stock that tech bros and reddit wallstreetbets investors like you who make up this baby man to be some christ incarnate, it honestly makes me little sad how much the way you talk about him reminds me of how christians praise Jesus. At least he cured a blind kid or whatever. This guy called a rescue diver a pedophile in his trash tweets because he insulted his useless rc submarine. Even with all of that for the love of anything of even the slightest of value, why do people praise rich people? I just dont get how someone with no money for themselves can let themselves be fooled to like a person that made his wealth from exploitation of labor and breaking of labor laws with startup money made from post colonial slavery. Even if he did work 40 hour days and something else veery impressive to make it sound like he does something else but tweet bullshit all day, he is not a person to be praised. Americas wealthy truly have succeeded at making themselves be loved by their ignorant consumer base. This isn't even some conspiracy. People do not work 10000 times harder than everybody else and become a billionaire, that is not physically possible Im sure you are smart enough to see at least that. Billionaires created their wealth from cheap labor and family money/connections. They are not special nor smart. Especially not Elon and his disgusting Musk.

Bro kidnapped a bluejay and is holding them hostage with checkmark subscriptions, bullied the owners of an electronic car company until they ran away in tears, then sat in the boss's chair when nobody was looking and said it's his now, and even tried to kidnap that cash friend app with the two initials that look like the 16th glyph of the English alphabet with the intent to replace it with the 24th glyph of the English alphabet like he's done with the bluejay now.
