Justin Gatlin has got to be the most mentally tough athlete in the world. Everyone was against him, EVERYONE. The spectators, the media, and even the unprofessional commentators could not hide their disdain for him. Getting boooed at every race whenever he is shown on the screen or his name is announced. I bet he was even tested more than everyone else. Despite all of that, he stayed focussed and got the win over the greatest 100m sprinter in history in his final race.

JUSTIN GATLIN's Story is incredible, when Bolt was starting Gatlin was already an Olympic Champion and Bolt already retired and the person who beats him is Gatlin a guy who was an Olympic champion 15 years ago. I completely agree with you!! At the age of 37 he is still at the top of the game (just got silver in world championships)! That definitely commands respect!
Gatlin is a warrior who Never backs down. Salute.
Bolt didn't retire though. He decided to hang on after the Rio Olympics and do another World Championship. He couldn't have run this race whilst retired.

He's tested positive for PEDs twice in his career, even Americans hate him
Mr Mackey yet the IAAF and USADA is still allowing him to compete though, right? So he’s clean in that time. Don’t get the big deal; it’s not always the athlete’s fault w PED’s, and if they clear him to compete, he’s clear
