  • Ah, thanks dude, and the different pronunciation in the SK sound, yeah, that was confusing to me when I saw how 'turtle or the turtle' was spelled

  • So letters may be pronounced differently in different words, huh? I'm a native English speaker, but I have been spoiled by the Korean alphabet, Hangeul. I'm used to being able to read basically anything, even if I didn't understand it... Oh well. At least the grammar and a lot of vocab is much more familiar

  • I think I will rather learn from listening to people. Like I have learnt to pronounce my address and work address. And some cities too. I don't think I have the time to learn all these.

  • Q W and Z are little bit used Example: Schweizer Nöt but we spell it Schveiser Nöt

    • Switzerland in Swedish is Schweiz and the Z is pronounced TS just like in German.

  • the letter Å is if you're trying to make a "aah" sound, but you shape your mouth as if you're making a "ooh" sound.

    • Yes it's true in german we have ä ö ü & ß , we actually have Ü in Swedish as well but it's only used in names and in the german borrowed word Müsli & in the swedish alphabet We don't have ẞ but when there is a Swedish word with double S , I use ẞ instead to write faster lol
