  • Do future Laura a favor and get a pair of safety glassed to wear while transferring ag liquids. And a small 1 gallon sprayer full of water makes a real good quick eye flush to keep around.

If you weren’t the fantastic farmer you are, I think you would be a great teacher! You are teaching us a lot about not only what you are doing but why you are doing it! You and Grant are a beautiful team! Keep the videos coming and keep teaching us!

  • LOL.. I was in liquid fertilizer business for 20 years. First rule of thumb, check oil and fill fuel every trip. I always knew when a salesman or two would run a truck or trailer as I would get a call, Flomax is out of gas. Shakes head. We switched to also have dry fertilizer just before I changed career. Same rule server trucks, trailers, fill gas every load even if over half full. 😊😊😊😊

  • Farming appears to be a higher risk taking than the stock market except it take months before you will know if you actually have a profit. The difference is you're totally at the will of the weather and you won't know for months if your bets and heard work will pay off..

  • I highly believe that you will see an increase in yield because of the strip tilling. We also do strip till before corn but instead of liquid fertilizer, we are using liquid manure and it is the only nitrogen source for our corn. We are working on pretty sandy soil and the strip tilling helps us with keeping the water in the ground. If you have the possibility to test/try strip till with liquid manure out ... I would highly recommend it to you.
