Jamal Murray's poor play in the first four games is the reason the Lakers were close each game as he couldn't make a shot. He averaged 21 points on 37% fg most of the series. It is Michael Porter that stepped up to help the scoring alongside Jokic. If Murray played decently there would be no need for game winners as they would be all blowouts. Jokic averaged 28/16/10 leading the team in scoring, rebound and assists and guarded by the entire Lakers defense.
Amen!
Yep.
Aaron Gordon is a big piece of the nuggets success as well.
It takes all five guys dummies. That’s why were the champs!
But Jamal Murray did the job, you can blame him for putting the team in the situation, but then you must also him credit for redeeming himself. What he did was what other players can't do and what he as a superstars can do!
The fact that he's never been an all-star is absolutely insane.
If he didn't miss as many games as he did at the start of this season he would have been voted as an all star.
I think it's injuries?
one of the best clutch point guard with a ring 🎉
In the playoffs definitely one of the best PGs ever
Jamal is the modern day Reggie Miller. He is a borderline top 20 regular season player, but he might simply be a top 10 player of the 2020's based on his every season playoff jump. Side note, Jokic and Murray's combined 13 ppg increase from regular season to postseason is by far the highest any duo ever.
He is way better try top 5 easily as far as PG or SG
@@Nicky-hr1qz I said a top 20 player all positions in the regular season and top 10 come playoff time
I mean, Jamal is clutch AF but lets not act like Jokic didn't close out the lakers last year, the suns and the Heat. Put some respect on the person who came 4th in clutch player of the year voting.
Close out the Lakers?? He is their best player but Murray finished the series as the only player EVER to average 30 while shooting 50/40/90 in the West Finals lol. Again Jokic is the best player in the league but they aren't defending champs without Murray
@@jaytse2269 I said CLOSED OUT. Jokic hit that crazy stepback three then the last points scored in the game to lift them up 2. Thats called CLOSING OUT. And what is this idiocy about not winning without Murray. DURRR. You need at least another great player to win. Jordan needed pippen. Shaq, Kobe. Lebron had Dwade. Then he had Kyrie. Steph had a team of them. Magic had Kareem. Kareem had magic and Oscar. Like why do you even need to say they don't win without Murray. Its dumb.
Because your asking for respect on a guy who's already won 2 MVPs, a Finals MVP and is regarded as the best player in the league. Murray can't even get an All star game nod. So let him have his due. No one needs to be reminded how great Jokic is but the reality is Murray does get overlooked quite often. "Durrrr".
@@deelak2329and the malarkey ( you'll probably have to google that word) about needing a second player. Completely lost me on that lol. "Durrr" Halfwit lol
The Denver Nuggets is a well-oiled machine. They should now be the ones carrying the mantra “STRENGTH IN NUMBERS” because each member has bought in to their respective goal.
Only Larry Bird had 2 clutch shots in back to back games (and scored more than 40+ in each) but they were in regular season....Jamal had 2 in one series in playoffs....not bad. Leader is Jordan w/ 9
Murray vs Lakers last 5 games: 23,6/4,6/7,2 FG%40 3P% 30 Jokic vs Lakers last 5 games: 28,2/16,2/9,8 FG%59,1 3P% 33,3 Murray was disastrous in 17 of a possible 20 quarters! Jokic playoff 73 games 27,5/12,3/7,5 FG%54 Murray playoff 59 games 24,9/6,4/5 FG%45
“Murray was disastrous”!?! I’ll tell you what’s disastrous, your post is disastrous! You should learn how to use a decimal instead of a comma. Basic. 🤦♂️
@@rorydougherty I see that you understand basketball like I understand quantum mechanics, which means NOTHING! WATCHED ALL THE GAMES IN THE PLAYOFFS! MURRAY HAS BEEN DISASTROUS...MURRAY IS FORCING THE GAME AND HAS TOTALLY UNREASONABLE MOVES FOR MOST OF THE MOMENT! HE HAD A DISASTEROUS SHOOTING PERCENTAGE AND HE KEEP FORCING AND FORCING EVERYTHING! HE HIMSELF ADMITTED THAT HE WAS VERY BAD, BUT HIS TEAMMATES RAISED HIM, LET HIM PLAY HIS GAME! PRIOR TO THIS 5 PLAYOFF GAME, MURRAY HAD FG%38...3P%20.8 IN 2,3 AND 4 PLAXOFF GAME MURRAY 3P% 0,07(1/15) FG%30 (26/88) MURRAY VS LAKERS 2023 PLAYOFFS: 32.5/6.3/5.3 MURRAY THIS PLAYOFFS: 23,6/4,6/7,2 By his standard, it's disastrous!
@@rorydoughertyI think it just looks disastrous to us. From what I saw Europeans use commas where an American would expect a decimal & vice versa
@@mladenstojanovic7279relax dude, its okay to give Jamal some props for playing great when it mattered the most...Judging by your name, you clearly hate seeing anyone but Jokic getting praise smh
I love to see how easily people forget how Murray torched the lakers last year.
Jamal Murray is the best point guard ever
He's great, but calm down, brother bear
Your reaching lol
Go to rehab u can get clean 1 day I believe in u
Ahsmwm Woah 😂😂😂
Calm down there chief. He’s great, but he’s not even close to being the best ever.
Why Great Player's makes it look so easy when they hit winning shots. I bet most great clutch players in history dont have the emotion called fear or they just love these kind of moments so much. I remember Dwade explained on an interview when a player is on the zone. They dont see the crowd the arena is empty and quiet.
Love Blue Arrow! He is the most clutch ever period!
Top 15 clutch player👍
Jordan has 9 clutch shots - Kobe and Joe Johnson each have 8 - LeBron -7 (and most in playoffs w/ 2 of the 7) - nobody w/ 6 and a bunch w/ 5
Lue thinking "I could've done better than Dinwiddie" lol
“Get off me lil king” - JM
Didn't recognize Chandler Parsons there!
“Emotional conversation”. ‘F*ck that coach i’m f*ckin playin get the f*ck out my way i’ma go win this game’
What show is this it needs help
Must be a laker fan😢😢😢😢
Jokic has the clutch defence at 3secs left by guarding lebron and force to pass the ball.
Jamal is the greatest playoff riser in NBA history...better than MJ and Lebron.
If Porter is hot , forget it!
He wasn't even on the list for NBA clutch player of the year. I would have taken him first in that category.
Clear foul on Lebron while getting postered by Murray…No call, no conversation…Lol.
Lots of guys raise their game in the playoffs....d wade was up there
I don't make it look like it's just lots of games lots of guys the other players that are either eliminated or not or currently active right now they're not doing the level at Jamal Murray does don't even kid yourself don't even kick yourself Jamal is very much ice water in the veins he's got that beast mode he reminds me of one of the greatest to ever play the game Manu Ginobili Manu Ginobili who was right up there is probably the second best or third best shooting guard ever behind Michael Jordan and Colby and then we're talking about overall not just points but overall effects of the game and Jamal has a lot of that in him, and right now, we're talking about either eliminated players or active none yes none of those point guards are at the level where Jamal's at don't even kid yourself
Playoff performer and a closer
Get this women out of there this is the nba not the wnba
Lebron time to retire
no he shot poorly
A very selfish player. He doesn't have the team spirit they have in the Nuggets
Low key I hope Jamal Murray doesn’t become popular enough for AllStar (it’s a dumb meaningless popular contest) and just keeps going off where it really matters, the playoffs!
If they want to so don't push that narrative that guy on the panel there he's wrong they went 90 so far
