www.comicsforbeginners.com Where do ideas come from? How do you know if a story idea is good or not? And is it true that Danish writer/artist Palle Schmidt wrote a big Hollywood movie? Yes! Well, almost....
This video uses music from www.bensound.com
Sometimes when you look for stories you just don't get anything. I often just think and develop interesting character in those scenario and then try to place that unique character in a normal setting, story automatically evolves.
That's a good approach. Plot and character are equally important!
Everyone else: The man is sad. Me: The man killed the child.
Hahahaha!
And is now eating the child
Literally where my brain went, lol.
Imagine being Palle's colleague at his office? You walk in and he's filming himself, jumping around waving prop guns that look suspiciously real :-)
Ha! Luckily no one has walked in on me yet!
This really helped a lot
Happy to hear it! Not so happy when my idea got stolen, ha ha!
thanks for this i totally relate to this, i remember i hesitated putting script idea and comic out there at one time then the movie wolfman came out and man i was disappointed with myself for not releasing anything.
That sucks. Especially when your great idea gets executed badly!
Great video!
thank you
Thanks, and that zombie idea was realy intresting btw.
Right?? Too bad I never did anything with it. I could've been a millionaire by now!
Jeg er vild med dine videoer. De er super inspirerende og gennemtænkte. Tusind tak for dem :)
Tusind tak! Det er jeg virkelig glad for at høre.
But seriously, u help alot. I plan to watch all the vids.
Thanks! Much appreciated!
Great video, Palle. Just, please, lower the background music. Anyway, ideas are great, the problem is transforming them into great stories (novels, comics, movies). That's something I am aways struggling with when I am writing. By the way, I bought a digital version of your The Devil's Concubine comic. Your artwork reminds me of Eduardo Risso's. Not complaining. I'll give you my opinion when I finish reading the comic.
Thanks JD! I appreciate the feedback. Will lower the music next time! You are also spot on about the Risso reference. I was VERY inspired by his art on this project, specifically 100 Bullets. So much that when I met Brian Azzarello in Angouême, I gave him an copy along with an apology! Anyway, thanks for picking it up, hope u like it!
HA! Great topic. That money heist scene is cool. But those two identical white figures at your left screen are cooler. 👍👍🔥
Ha! I swear I didn't place those to show off!
@@comicsforbeginners No, they are really cool! You better put them to a safer place instead 😁.
@@adrianpatangui1575 They are just 3D printed figurines. I know I won them, that's what matters :-)
Correction, this video is somewhat a idea video that features you; so there is at least 1. Ha!
Who took film studies? Was it you? It was YOU!
I certainly did! Never got my degree tho.. Much later I took a master class in screenwriting at the Danish Film School but I don't think we had montage theory there :-)
@@comicsforbeginners Unless the montage theory embedded itself in your brain, subliminally planted with its quick succession of images ;) Learning would be so much easier if it could all be done that way!
@@katswicreations No no, we talked about it in film theory at university. I still had to read up on it for this video.
