Breaking: Reports of explosions in skies over Iran | DW News
Media sources there are reporting that air defense systems were activated at a military base and a nuclear facility near the central Iranian city of Isfahan. Tehran temporarily grounded commercial flights across areas of western and central regions in response. An Iranian senior commander told Iranian state TV that there was no major damage following the incidents.

isreal had to spend alot of money and resources to succesfully stop that massive rocket and drove attack. Look up how much cost to stop 1 rocket with iron dome system. Its crazy. 1k$ rocket costs 100 times that for isreals advanced rockets to catch it and destroy it mid air. It could be billions of $ spent to not allow single rocket to hit Isreals land.
Iran’s attack directly hit an Israeli airbase, it was a demonstration that Isreal is not impenetrable, pro-Isreal media is not recognising how successful Iran’s strike was, Netanyahu is between a rock and a hard place as his far right partners in government have demanded a response, expect an Iranian response with Israeli casualties this time

It is obvious that Isrealis penetrated Iranian airspace and did attack Iranian Air base close to nuclear sites, but not hit that nuclear site just to show Iranians that they can penetrate Iranian air space and hit their target easily. Isreali did covert operation for a showoff purpose, and Iran got a clear message and avoided retaliation.

The oil that is (or was) pumped out of Isfahan goes to each of Iran’s ports based on each port’s availability to maximize the distribution from the fields to the ports and then to the buyers. It will take Iran at least two years to repair the Isfahan pipeline facility. Smart measured response with the greatest economic effect.

Under Article 51 of the UN Charter, the attack on Iran’s diplomatic premise in Syria was considered an attack on Iran’s territory. Iran respond was correct. Israel is doing wrong.
Iran made a big mistake because they started all this drama in the first place ,they started accusing israel of attacking their base in Damascus which isreal never comment on,but Iran are busy accusing israel without evidence. Or rather, that was the cost estimate from Brig Gen Reem Aminoach, former financial adviser to the IDF chief of staff. So it cost 5-10 times more to intercept than it cost Iran to launch the attack (as per the Brigadier General). You can do the exact same math yourself that their general did. We know the costs of the Arrow, Patriot, Iron Dome interceptors, and Sidewinders. This is already a well known problem with interception.

Israel deliberately attacked the Iranian diplomatic enclave in Damascus,knowing fully well, there was a senior IRGC officer in that compound. This was a calculated assasination and must have had full permission from Israeli PM Netanyahu. But it was a bad decision and possibly Netanyahu went for the kill as it was too good an opportunity to miss . They got a chance to neutralize a highly valued target. Did his advisers support this move knowing fully well it would evoke a massive response from Iran? Netanyahu is fighting to retain his position as PM and this whole mess has been created by his insecurity. Russia is now gping to intervene, possibly to provide Iran with weapons or extend the S400 type shield they have in Syria. The Israeli missiles have come very close to Iranian nuclear sites. This is the begining of an extended Middle East War of attrition and destruction.
I agree Netanyahu stepped out of line but Russia's fighters and S400 AA will do hardly anything against the likes of F-35s. Iran's real defense is deterrence. They can overwhelm Israel's air defense with drones that cost 5x less than the interceptors so it doesn't matter even if they get shot down, if there was an actual war. As long as Iran's nuclear weapons program is on pause, no one wants an actual war though. Particularly when the US has stated they will not help Israel offensively.
