Looking to get a Nikon camera but only have Sony lens? The Megadap ETZ21 and ETZ 21 Pro will allow you to use your Sony lens on Nikon bodies, while being able to update the firmware via the camera body. Keep your beloved lens and use them on your new Nikon body.
They broke focusing on PZ 16-35/4, then they fixed it in the latest firmware. But now Tamron 28-200 is broken. The Sony 20-70 have trouble focusing at infinity, but fine at close range. This is such a flaky adapter, you can't rely on it.
I noticed that as well and was going to make a video about it. I emailed them instead, explained the issue and advised them it works when going back to the old firmware. They responded to request confirmation photos and issued the update (1.34) to resolve the issue. Email them with the issue so they can work on getting it resolved: support@megadap.net
Would you like to upgrade to etz21 pro?
Hi Van, I don't recall any difference than the ability to upgrade via camera when the Pro version was launched. It looks like an improved version on the ETZ21 but, no more functionality. Is there some other difference in the new version?
@@waynerm002 As I know , the main difference is the len-detached button. But I am curious if they improve the overall build quality , I just can’t find any discussion on internet.
@@vanlee0831 Yeah, the lens release lever has been improved and they removed those pins for the USB update clip, that's it from what I recall. Getting Nikon to allow them to offer firmware updates via the camera body is a big win for us.
@@waynerm002 many Tamron lenses were very tight, impossible to use with ETZ21, they improved the mount significantly in Pro version.
@@USGrant21stThat's good to hear. All the lens I have for the FX30 are on the wide end and not too heavy, they work fine on the Z8.

Yes it is! Went there to get my Z8 and shoot some videos whlie testing it out.
i think these adapters works bettet if the IBIS is turned off
I don’t notice much difference with IBIS but, it was choppy with electronic VR turned on. That’s one of the reasons I traded the 24-105 f4 OSS for the Nikon 24-120 f4.
I’ll have to do some more testing. I used the Sony 16-35 with VR on and it worked fine, only the eVR and the 24-105 had some weird results. In video, it works fine with OSS off, with it on, it seemed to not be as sharp.
