  • Also love the fact that you Illustrate the situations instead of just talking about it. Really helps to put you in perspective of the situation you're in.

  • I was taught this lesson the hard way with squirtle withdrawal and sonic homing attack since players ALWAYS have time to pick another option after getting your shield with those moves, awaiting their panic option is a lot better than swinging with a fair which feels right in the situation

    • How do you deal with Bayo? I try to be careful with her burst options and when I do go in her out of shield options get me like this is smash4 lol. (Falco main)

      @RTabora@RTaboraАй бұрын
    • I appreciate it, thanks for watching! Generally with Bayo, it's good to try and be mostly aware of her abk (aerial side b). This is a very fast option that she'll most likely use to approach on you. If you can defend well against it (and maybe even get counterhits out of shield with good positioning), then she's forced to choose laggier options that won't give her the immediate payoff. If you're pushing advantage yourself, she eventually has to land, so Bayos will often try to outwait your patience. However, the longer they stall, the harder their landing lag punishment will be, so you just need to stay close and you'll get your turn. Hope that helps!

  • Okay for the rob thing, how were you out of his threat range though? you were very close on him nairing so that's in his threat range right?

    @sathvikchillapalli5977@sathvikchillapalli5977Ай бұрын
    • Thanks for watching! Let me see if I can explain my thought process behind those scenarios. In the end, it is my representation of a concept of smash, so if you don't see eye-to-eye, that's fair. All I can ask for is you to give it consideration. When playing smash, we have to be constantly managing spacing. We manage this relative to our options as well as the opponent's. The tldr of such interactions is trying to take advantage of your options in the best situation possible for you and avoiding negative scenarios. Because the game is constantly moving, we have to make a decision based on our context. Yes, this is pretty tricky. The one thing that helps is that our decisionmaking can be influenced by our reactions and the reaction time we are given. You're right that I'm entering the threat range of ROB. It's certainly true that ROB will have moves that could occupy or beat out the spacing of my Nair. The question though is when those options would come out, i.e., how long they would take. In a situation where you have adavantage, there is a limited amount of space and time available to your opponent. As you get stronger at advantage, you learn how to calculate these options better. It is also worth noting that a move or attack that will take longer to meet me (because of things like spacing, let's say) also adds to my advantage because the time that it takes for my opponent to use their move and make it hit me can be used by me to change spacing or choose my own option. In these scenarios, I committed while keeping in mind aspects like the startup of the potential option involved which, if it works right, will result in situations shown in the vid. If I miscalculate, the situation may turn out very differently. However, I will try my best to trust my instincts to guide my decisionmaking. The sections that I've chosen to engage with are chosen due to what I contextually see as possible options. I have to look ahead a bit as the moment will pass me by before I know it, but I'm trying to make educated guesses. Why do I do this and enter a possibly dangerous space? Because of my own options that I want to make use of. I can't play entirely out of ROB's reach because I simply would never be able to Nair (or make use of other options too). Yet, I know that it's important for the MU and my character, so I have to find opportunities. Against a character like ROB, it is often possible to take advantage of something like the slow startup of Nair. I have provided a breakdown of the interactions themselves and my general thought process behind them in the video. Thank you for the question! It shows that you tried to engage with my content, and I appreciate that. If you're having trouble following my explanation and have a specific timestamp in the vid, feel free to drop it in a reply. Hopefully this answer helps.

    • @silver_cck thx. You just earned a sub. But the thing is is there a threat bubble in zoners?

      @sathvikchillapalli5977@sathvikchillapalli5977Ай бұрын
    • @@sathvikchillapalli5977 There is definitely a threat range that projectiles and zoners have! However, I think that's probably a loaded enough topic to have its own video. I have a few videos that I'm going to try and get out over time regarding neutral, zoners, and other things. Stay tuned!
