We should be proud to own a breed like Kangayam and no comparison with overseas breed at all. while listening to lady and gentleman I am so impressed of their demonstration about breed selection and feeding of bull. we are Indian and no space for overseas breed in India. our cattle and farmers are our pride and culture.

SUZHI is the ancient way of selecting Stud bulls for breeding. Its Proven not only in tamilnadu but also in andhra pradesh. In Olden days Stud bulls were chosen away from the village. Around 10 people went in search of good breeding bull for the village. physically animal is tested wheather it can produce good progeny for future. If possible even pedigree of the bull is also analyzed. After considering all this. the last test is with suzhi. With experience they avoid some suzhi's. Infact horses have more suzhi. In rajasthan one can observe it. Infact suzhi is also present in dogs also. Just because its old. it doesnt mean its not right.

Akash S. generally the competition is conducted between January to March. during this period the testosterone level of the bull will become higher and hence they seem to be ferocious.
If you try searching in google for "Kathasamy palayam, K.P chathiram, Trippur" to get the location it could not locate the place. For people who wanted to use their bulls for breeding if one of you can share the exact location it will be of help
