Don't know if anybody mentioned it, so for the song "alone", that version is called Beta Luigi, based off a game over screen from the beta version of Luigi's Mansion. The story from my understanding was that he was too scared to enter the mansion to save Mario, who was trapped in a portrait (as you saw) by King Boo, and due to Luigis cowardice, Marios now forever trapped, which is why Luigis hella depressed. him holding the Daisy is a reference to a picture of him holding it in this specific game over, it has no relation to Daisy at all.

more accurately, the screen happens when you run out of time before saving mario (yeah there was a time limit in beta Luigi's Mansion for some reason). also, there was supposed to be a flash of lightning at the intro when hes humming the main theme that shows a silhouette of boyfriend hanging from a rope, another reference to a spot in game where talking to a toad in the attic (?) changes the camera angle to make it look like luigi is hanging in the bg with a lightning flash

The last song "Unbeatable" is of a creepy NES ad from Nintendo years ago. The dog in act 2 is from "Duck Hunt" where you use a zapper for the NES to shoot the ducks in background. The "dinosaur" in act 3 is Bowser from the first Super Mario Bros' Game. Pretty much the song is identical to ad. Its a faithful recreation.

Fun fact: in the second act of All Star, when you go up against Luigi, Wario, and Yoshi, this was a small reference to the character lineup for the DS port of Mario 64, where the characters are introduced by coming out of the pipes outside the castle before getting captured by bowser. All except Yoshi tho who stays behind. In all honesty this is the best FNF mod of 2023 and of all time in my eyes. I can see the dedication that went into the making of this and was most certainly worth the wait

What I’ve heard is that Omega Mario (Tanooki Mario) was the original design for Ultra M in the old version of All Star which back then I believe was called Final Confrontation. Here, Omega Mario is sent as a distraction for Ultra M to give him time to kill girlfriend.

@Forever Nenaa 1:41:20 It sounds crazy, but you need to lower your FPS to 60 and then you can beat Abandoned with no issues as long as you play through the part you were struggling with well. If you ever come across a song that has health drain or "don't miss" and you're struggling even though you think you're hitting the notes. Make sure you're on 60 FPS. The song Aquaphobia in the Late Night City Tales fnf mod is another example of this.

Some context on songs I know about (that you also didn't see the descriptions of I think lmao) - Thalassophobia - The power meter is just what health looks like in Mario 64, it slowly drains in place of an oxygen meter when Mario is out of air and coins replenish it, so you're collecting the coins to stop Luigi from drowning. Luigi is under the fountain because for years people thought the inscription on the fountain read "L is Real 2401," as some kind of hint on how to unlock Luigi in the game Oh God No - Is connected to I Hate You, "Oh God No" was the name of the level this happened in in the original creepypasta, Luigi reveals himself to be working with Bowser and forces Mario to defend himself, pushing Luigi into the lava during their fight and exclaiming "OH GOD NO" The mushroom note jumpscares you as a reference to the romhack from the pasta, right outside the final door there was a mushroom and if you jumped on it you'd get a screamer I Hate You - The context from Oh God No is exactly why he's melted, he didn't come out of the lava in the original story but when you beat the hack you'd get an edited version of the end screen from Super Mario World, Peach and Mario looking distraught standing next to Luigi who's scarred horribly, two Marios pop up at the end because there was a segment of the pasta where Mario's past lives were visualized as bloated corpses laying about a hard section of the level and they eventually came to life and started chasing you Apparition - The Wario apparition is part of the sort of community joke/creepypasta about copies of Mario 64 being personalized, it came about because of an out of context photo of an animated Wario head that was promoting Mario 64 at an event or something, I don't think it has much in solid lore but it's usually what you see, a giant Wario head that chases you down one of the hallways in the castle Dark Forest - This is about a creepy romhack that was mysteriously posted under the name "'the," but people found out that in the files it was named "CORONATION DAY_ _." It tells a nonlinear story about an entity that calls itself king of the forest sacrificing and possessing Peach, you walk through the woods as Mario for most of it, finding it filled with the stripped bones of the enemies you'd normally see. It's harder to explain than most of the other stories and also much higher quality I'd recommend playing it Edit: And Unbeatable is a reference to an old advertisement for the NES, apparently for the Australia market, it used 80s CGI models based off the sprites of Duck Hunt, Bowser, Lakitu, an enemy I think is from Gyromite, and a man presumably representing a Nintendo employee. They literally used the tagline "You cannot beat us" in it, I guess towards their competitors AND challenging the players that their games were very difficult. It's also got fun references in the UI, Bowser pushes your health back with a fire bar from the castle levels and BFs icon flashes white whenever his health goes down in the Duck Hunt stage, this is how the NES zapper gun would tell if you were hitting a duck in the game, so its BF being shot at by whoever has the zapper

Fun fact. the Luigi mechanic is a reference to super Mario maker two if you fail a level more than two times, you could call Luigi and he would help
The Mario in Last Course is named Turmoil. Mario consumed a mushroom that had Yoshi code in it, making him get an unending appetite and eat anything in sight along the ability to launch out his tongue like a Yoshi. Fun Fact: Turmoil is blind and uses hearing and smell. He may look cute at first sight but he doesn't act cute when trying to nom things. Edit: a sentence I randomly thought of that kinda fits All Stars Act 4: "You can't win a game rigged in a god's favor."

It's AMAZING to see you back!! If you're planning on giving FNF a few more go's, a LOT of good mods have released! I recommend Graffiti Grooving especially, it really captures the colorful edge of normal FNF. Also, the game never tells you this, but pausing the game during songs gives you context (and sometimes really silly pause music). EDIT: Very thankful you figured out the pause descriptions.

I usually don’t type here but I have to this time to say this; Unbeatable was a genuine blast and NIGHTMARE to beat! I died to the “Do Not Miss” part and also had a feeling that it would be like that throughout the rest of the song but thankfully, it wasn’t like that. That’s the ONLY time you have to not miss! When I passed that part, everything was smooth sailing until that final part where the arrows swapped and I died..I admit…I raged…😅😅 After calming down, I went back to it and beat it on my 5th attempt! It’s still a blast to play going back to it! This mod is a masterpiece and I’m happy to see you return to fnf for this mod! 👍👍👍
The two years of waiting was worth it for sure. Most of the songs are great (my favorite is Bad Day but Unbeatable comes close) and all of the content makes the update absolutely worth the wait… and the leaks.

Fun fact: I'm pretty sure it was confirmed that the whole mod was an act (like super mario bros 3). Bf and Gf didn't actually die, but they played dead in the thing. If you pay attention to the credit images, it shows proof it was an act (like there being a dead Gf in the props section while it also had the real and alive Gf, and the characters shaking hands).

@@fedemkxx9370 I checked the wiki and here's what it said Despite everything that happened in the mod and it's ending, all of it was "staged", à la Super Mario Bros. 3, as the ending shows that the GF corpse in the cutscene for Demise was actually a prop, and 3 Marios were standing on each others' shoulders to create M's final phase in All-Stars. This was confirmed to be canon by Sandi, one of the mod's composers. A few hours later, however, Marco Antonio deconfirmed the notion in a Twitter post. He has since said that it is mainly up to interpretation how the mod ends, but the intended ending is that Boyfriend and Girlfriend die.

btw the "mario sing and game rythm 9" song is based off of Somari, basically a NES bootleg game that combined sonic and mario (which is why marios design in that song has such long legs and why the entrance to it is a giant ring.) Edit: also no, mario wasn't dead in "Alone" he was just trapped in the painting, thats literally the whole plot of the luigis mansion games lol, he just looks so sad cuz in the game the painting hes stuck in looks down and the brim of his cap covers his face to show what happens you fail to save (also luigis face is based on a rlly weird game over screen thats actually official, look it up lmao) not sure if its actually based on any creepypastas tho
There are actually a boatload of references in the "So Cool" song via the live chat, mainly the usernames. Some of the usernames in chat are other foes later in the mod, (such as Turmoil in "Last Course",) others are people who worked on the mod such as theWAHbox or VibingLeaf, even more are references to other KZheadrs like Vargskelethor Vinesauce, or even Lythero (for some reason). Even the random stuff which makes up the rest of the chat still has some funny noticeable things here and there. Very subtle yet very clever - I could only imagine how smart it might make someone feel if they understood every single reference that shows up in that live chat.

The thing I love about this mod is that if you don’t like the remastered versions of the V1 songs or just want to replay them, all of them are still playable in their original form in V2
Why do i have a theory barely though.... Theory: this happened because Luigi must have gotten like a virus from Bowsers world (no one knows what else could be in there) and that made him go insane and as it spread to others they turn into insane killers. Second theory: they just went insane bc bowser keept coming back and they just eventually killed him and they liked it so much they kept doing it. Third theory: they all experienced heart break causing them to lose sanity. Mario: peach going insane. Luigi: daisy died
I ended up beating unbeatable 2nd try when i played it. Probably my favorite song in the entire mod to be honest. The entire mod is amazing. Loved every moment of it.

He’s basically a meme character, nothing much to it. MARIO SING AND GAME RHYTHM 9 has Somari from a bootleg game of the same name, which was just Sonic 1 with Mario replacing Sonic Alone is based on both the beta of Luigi’s mansion, in which there bad ending where mario is trapped forever and luigi gets depressed over it, and the hanging luigi glitch from luigi’s mansion, in which talking on a phone in the attic when lightning strikes will cause your shadow to be slack and raised under a ceiling beam as if it was hanging from a noose Thalassophobia is based on L is Real, an urban legend about Luigi being playable in SM64. On the fountain star statue behind the castle in the game, in blurry letters it appears to say “L is real 2401”, which lead to many people to believe that luigi was an unlockable character in the game with even IGN offering a $100 bounty to prove that L is Real was real. And then, on July 25th 2020 (24 years and 01 month after the release of SM64 in japan), the existence of a luigi model and voice clips were confirmed, completing the prophecy of L is real 2401... Oh God No and I Hate You is based on IHateYou.exe, a story where luigi betrays mario and mario is forced to kill his own brother by knocking him into lava. The eyeless boos, “I HATE YOU” blood text, and multiple drowned mario corpses being from it, and his look in I Hate You from the game’s ending screen. This creepypasta is...a VERY confusing one, Mario being trapped in a place called the lost woods being hunted by a ghostly figure resembling Peach, with a ton of various things happening due to doing specific things, many endings, constant game resets, and even getting messages by hacking the game and/or changing things about the game It should be noted that the backstory of this game is barely explained, practically unknown, so it’s all up to your imagination as to what happened to Peach and why Mario is wrapped up in this nightmare Bad Day is based on Super Bad Mario, a pair of videos in which several fail clips have mario edited in to make him the secret cause of people’s fails irl Day Out is based on Luigi’s Day Out, an old animation where Mario is a punk and Luigi is innocent and childish despite being 35, Mario being forced to take Luigi along with him one day by his mother. The place the song takes place in and the interactions are from the actual animation, but instead of BF and GF, it was Waluigi and Daisy. Dictator is based on Secret Histories Mario, where due to Mario being married to Peach and being seen as a hero, it helped him rise to a position of power and soon allowed him to become a dictator of the mushroom kingdom, where he’d show his true colors. From killing sonic after he didn’t make ends meet of helping bring down sega, to giving peach botched plastic surgery and kicking her to the curb when she wronged him, this Mario is nothing short of a remorseless monster. The setting of this song is based on sonic’s death in that video Race Traitors has Racist Mario, a Flashgitz animation in which mario kills everyone since they invited non nintendo characters to race No Hope has Devil Mario from the series Power Star, in which mario is possessed and his body used to collect the power stars to destroy everything and everyone Golden Land has GB and since V1 he has gotten his own creepypasta, Black & White. He was created on accident by Christine, a girl responsible for making a new Nintendo console known only as “Project: Atlantis”, which was a collaboration with a company called OptiSoft. Starting as just an array of blinking white dots in the shape of a person, he would begin to quickly learn when connected to the internet, and became various characters based on the cartridge the data was put into, becoming Mario when put on a SML2 cartridge. She’d spend weeks experimenting with him, ignoring his cries that they were painful, until he one day had enough and said “You think this is some kind of game, right? Pretend you’re some kind of God? And the one investing the case, Detective Thomas Anderson: who, after playing the virtual boy to find the root of the cause of the previous 2’s deaths, was found dead in his office, days after going to the hospital for nausea, with his jaw nowhere to be found and eyes sunken into his sockets.........no one has picked up this investigation since then, likely out of fear The place where the song takes place is the virtual boy game Mario Clash, a reference to Thomas’ death since the game he played to find the source of the deaths was a pirated copy of Mario Clash, with Mr. Virtual manifesting on the piracy screen Overdue has Mr. L from the rom hack TooLate.EXE. Mr. L is Luigi’s vengeful spirit who came after Mario after he accidentally killed him by cutting the bridge with Luigi on it, sending him into the lava below. He put Mario through various torments before killing him in the same way he died, cutting the bridge with him on it. The name ‘TooLate’ comes from the fact that your actions don’t matter in the game, you’re already too late to save mario Powerdown and Demise has MX from Mario 85, a mario.exe who pulled a child named Lucas into a cursed copy of Super Mario Bros, turning him into Luigi, and torments him for eternity as his plaything Promotion has Stanley from the SM64 Classified series (by the youtuber Greenio). He is an AI program that controls the personalization of SM64, which evolved outside of it’s boundaries until achieving full sentience and the ability to affect reality, growing to hate it’s creators. The first phase and the left pose of the second phase is a reference to the video “Promo Show” (though I think Greenio said that the mario in promo show is NOT Stanley), and the second phase is a reference to the video “09.14.96” (which IS Stanley) Abandoned is based on the Classified series telling of the L is Real story The End is based on the Classified video 09.02.97, with the mario suit being from the super mario-a-thon All Stars has Ultra M, Omega, LG, W4R, and Y0SH. Originally, the song was called Final Encounter and had only Omega, but the song was scrapped after it was leaked a long time ago and Omega was removed for a while before they eventually brought him back, with his idle and some of his sprites based off Final Encounter. I don’t know who made Ultra M, but Omega was made by sandii and marco, and LG, W4R, and Y0SH are simply just minions of Omega (Ultra M’s lore is in the funk kast trailer) Unbeatable is based on a real and very cursed nintendo nes commercial, just look it up, it’s shocking they thought this was a good way to sell their product

For that last song, there was this really old Nintendo commercial made in Australia that had all of those characters, but children got scared every time it came on. That first characater is mr. Sys. (Or mr. Sell Your Soul) and that was bowser.

Another fun fact: the song unbeatable is actually a reference to a Nintendo Australia commercial. The character's name Mr. sys is a reference to Nostalgia Critic, where he says: "Are you stealing my soul while i'm watching?", from the episode "Rise of the Commercials. Mr. sys only ever appeared in this commercial.Therefore, he is kind of trapped here, only seen as a footnote of his time. Although Unbeatable is only unlocked after beating All-Stars, Mr. Sys still makes an appearance in All-Stars Act 4, as well as during Ultra M's transformation sequence in the beginning of the song. This is because All-Stars Act 4 and Unbeatable were getting finished up around the same time, and the devs thought it would be funny to add him. Side note i was really waiting for an update on Mario madness. I bet the people who put fnf in roblox will add the update in the game. I hope i get to play it soon. best looking mod EVER!! 😁
Alone has a pretty interesting backstory, in the first luigis mansion he has to save mario, in this version he was too scared and fell to his own cowardice, allowing mario to die and get trapped in the painting forever.
