  • Well played Farag. But for the good of the game it is important that a shotmaker like Gawad does beat Farag sometimes. Not least to encourage more young players to play like him!

  • It seems like Farag's break has done him some good mentally. He seems hungrier than before. Hope Gawad's issue is temporary. No-one is better in the front of the court.

  • 2:01 it is 4-8 for Gawad, next in 2:06 it is 10-9 for Farag - some turnaround here!

  • Farag complaining about the backhand drop in the first game makes me think they had a discussion before the match that Gawad won’t play that shot just to keep it fair for everyone lol Otherwise he could’ve just won the match with 33 of those drops.

  • Lowering the tin has given something back to shotmakers like Gawad and has slightly altered the balance between racket skills and athleticism. But I would like to see more changes to redress this balance a little bit further. What do others think?
