The Inaugural journey of the Vespa camping trailer. On its face, the tiny Vespa trailer is little more than featherweight foam, fabric, and a whisper of paint. But if you look with your heart instead of your eyes, you'll see something that is greater than the sum of its parts. It's a labor of love rooted in friendship and a statement of joy, tranquility, and human connection. Please enjoy this little refuge with me.
If you're interested in seeing how it was built, please check the video on my friend Lucy's channel:

  • Just wonderful, many thanks for uploading such a nice video, young generation must watch it to learn about simplicity and how life can be enjoyed even with minimal resources. Myself a longtime Vespa enthusiast, my first 2 wheeler was a Vespa, just loved to take it on long road trips, never let me down, no batteries, simple two stroke engine with handy side storage as well as storage baskets upfront and under the handle, and yes, the spare wheel saved me lots of time!

I was recently on a backpacking trip and ended up in a Canadian national park where I saw these 40’ RVs hauling full size SUVs loaded with expensive e-bikes. So much over consumption and I wondered how connected they felt to what was around them. Simple is best and that’s what I see here. Well done!

    • Kia Ora Marcel! Thank you for watching my video. It means a lot to me. Happiness can easily be found in the little things. Yes, piloting a Vespa with a trailer attached can be a little difficult but I am getting better. I seem to have a lot of bicycle camping people in Germany that watch my channel. I have been watching those videos and I've learned a lot. Thanks again :)

  • I must admit that I was drawn toward the video by the rusty Vespa! I grew up with them in India although we never owned one. I am a 2-wheeler (preferably with an engine) fanatic and ride motorcycles. I ended up watching the entire video for its simple message: minimalism often brings a lot of joy and peace in our life. I really loved it - thank you so much!

I want to make a recumbent four wheel car bike in the shape of a 2/3 DAF 66 coupe, with a teardrop caravan with a pop up roof so you can stand in the caravan, where I can open the bottom floor for the feet space so you can sit in the caravan. I routinely bite off more than I can chew…and most of the time it turns out fine. If I face-plant, I view it was a data point and a learning experience. The world needs a 2/3 DAF 66 coupe recumbent four wheel car bike 😁

One summer evening some friends came over and we took it out around the town. Two guys stood on the front floor, one sat in the back and I drove. It was hilarious as the tires were almost rubbing the fenders. We ended up at the park. Turned on the baseball diamond lights and played fly-goes-in 'til 4am. The good old days.
