Wow
Wait for second part. It will have interesting decoration technique.
every time I try adding the two parts together (the beginning part), the size isn't the same and it collapses, you make this look a lot easier than it is! any tips?
It's only difficult for the first 999 times after that you'll make it with your eyes closed :D Seriously though, try to make walls a bit thicker. This way you can stretch the part that turned out smaller and the parts will hold their shape better. If you work with real clay, one with grog will make it easier. With airdry clay, DAS will not work since it doesn't hold its shape very well. Aurora/Laguna brand of airdry clay works much better for this type of project.
I bought some clay a while back but have never used it yet. 🎙
You should try, it's fun!
Never though I could use an old credit card in an art project lol By the way, what kind of pin roller do you use?
I use Joseph Joseph rolling pin, it helps to control slab thickness www.amazon.com/Joseph-20085-Adjustable-Removable-Multicolored/dp/B0091QO3RK/ref=asc_df_B0091QO3RK/
I have one question... How can i waterproof it? 👄
Air dry clay usually used for decorative projects. You can try varnish to waterproof it but results can vary. For functional ceramics better to use regular clay and fire it.
Isn't wheel is easy for making pots
You are absolutely correct if you have wheel throwing skills and access to the wheel. Many people don't have access to the wheel as well as to a kiln. This is the main reason I chose air dry clay that resembles regular clay and handbuilding technique. Both handbuilding and wheel throwing techniques allow to create wonderful artworks. It is more about experience with the technique and what materials, tools, and equipment you have access to. For example, air dry clays are more suitable for handbuilding.
