Finally people started to see that Mattel is playing with them. I saw that coming since haunt couture dolls. Where on earth a small doll like mh that looks pretty basic costs 75 dollars? I mean, spectra G3 it's the same and costs 25 dollars.
Honestly the haunt couture lines still look way better than this doll. Pricey, but better. I looove this doll’s box, but that’s the furthest my love can reach. I at least loved the haunt couture dolls themselves and their fashion. Plus, their color palettes didn’t clash so aggressively like Lenore’s. It’s all subjective though; the only objective thing is that this doll is overpriced lmao
Great review. The spider needs a name and more eyes! I think she's pretty but you're absolutely right, $75.00 is too expensive for what she is. You are also right that we as collectors can make a difference with our dollars. 💸💸💸
She is pricey, but I got her because there are things I love about her. I agree that the dress should look more tattered and ghostly. One thing that keeps throwing her a little off for me is the pinks. The candles look like they’re from a birthday cake 😅 and don’t match the pink of her shoes. I’m considering painting them.
I like the base doll I think her face is very pretty, makes me want to customize her, but not at that price tag. This one is standard G1 quality.
She is so pretty !! I love her dress, shoes and face . I hope they give us a diary with these new characters in the future. Hopefully, she’ll go on sale because I will not pay $75. Also thank you for giving me a new doll line to collect. Disney limited edition dolls. I ordered the Moana 17-inch doll and I can't wait to get her. ❤

She Looks Just Like Vandala Doubloons
I know she's a lot, but I was really drawn to her. I dry brushed silvery-white paint on her spiderwebs, painted her candles and earring candles white, and painted her boots black and white. The mist on her boots was dry brushed with iridescent white to soften the pink. I pulled her hair back off her face and did a half updo. Pretty much a faux Victorian hairstyle. She's one of my favorite dolls now. Love your channel!
Ooooh these changes sound amazing!! Its sad though that we have to spend $75 and still make changes to really really like her😔
Thank you for such an in depth review! Lenore has a beautiful face up and for that reason I did get tempted by her. My beef is we have no reason to care about this character (even skullectors are franchised and established characters in horror/disney/etc) and the price point. I would keep her in box for like $40. I wouldnt be able to validate more than that due to her lack of paint detailing and accessory quality. The box and base of the doll itself are the best parts of this doll tbh
I think Lenore is pretty but there are some things that makes me doubt about to getting her or not. Knowing that more and more dolls would come in the next couple of months 🤷🏻♂️. Like you said that is going to be a series… I wonder where this line is going! Cause what I’ve seen on social media a lot of people don’t like the doll. This might be the MR Fail 2.0 of this year… I do like the idea of different designers to create their own character but after Lenore I’m a bit skeptical about how this series is going to do.

Maybe that price tag is what kept me from falling in love with her and wanting her? A Victorian ghost is right up my alley, she's pretty, but I'm just not getting the omg I need her feeling. I have been selectively collecting MH as an adult since they first launched.
The designer should’ve taken more inspiration from the haunted series such as river stix and vandala Doubloon to construct the design to look more ghost-like because the dress is too heavy and saturated and the ghosts from mh are light and transparent. there might have been a way to still keep that blue color from the dress and make it look more ghost-like by using sheer fabric and light layers. Or maybe if she chosen a different monster specie related to gardens. Without context it doesn’t translate garden ghost. I get vampire.
I bought her it supposed to be here today or tomorrow. I do agree that she’s pricey for what you get. Did I hear you say that it is a series and there might be more of these coming out? And are they only making a certain amount of these, thank you I love you reviews!!!

I ordered her on the 21st, while everyone else is getting her, i still havent recieved mine and i did two day shipping. The tracking still hasnt updated since the 22nd and still says label created but thats it. Should i be worried or should i give it another day or two ?
Contact mattel customer service - they will refund you the shipppng cost
@@Dolldad_83 I already did today. They said she should be here by end of day tomorrow. At this point I don't care about the 2 day shipping cost, I just wanna know where my doll is. I ordered two of her and the fact FedEx hasn't updated the tracking since the 22nd has me a little pissed off and worried. Did Mattel even ship my dolls out ? Are they lost somewhere ? Did a worker steal them ? I ordered the off white Symphonee doll and her tracking was updated and actually arrived so I don't understand what the issue is.
I think it’s the people trying to make a fortune reselling the dolls driving up the prices. Martell just wants to cash in too. How are thos people getting so many doll sets.
Honestly it is unfortunate, no one seems pleased with her. As a new collector myself, I didnt collect or play with dolls in my childhood, for about a year now- even i wasnt interested in a new character doll because that price point scared me off. I hope they understand what's happening here and how upset the community is. There's no excuse for the low quality, ESPECIALLY on that lantern...wow. Original 2008 dolls had better quality. Hell, the Gen 2 dolls had better quality... Wild. Great review though! First time watching you. :)

It sucks cause I love her, but that price just doesn't work for me. For $50 I'd get her and not complain. But $75 is just really pushing it. I might just bite the bullet since I really like her and none of the other exclusives are doing anything for me.

I honestly think Rebecca should be ashamed of this design. I understand the cost of making a doll, and a lot of details probably got left out but what on earth was she thinking on that price point? No diary and no real way of bringing us into her little world and getting to know her, but you can get a tote bag or a t-shirt with her face on it, that’s wild to me she is more howliday than collector
What bothers me is - single skullector dolls are cheaper than this and better

I mean no disrespect to her in any fashion I do adore this doll she’s pretty but not worth the price, and the gen 2 fabric choices are not the best, I was hoping for more from this Edgar Alan Poe reference and the rest of her items look to be reworked haunted chains from river styx and the other dolls, the shoes are cute and that spider is adorable, but come on Rebecca you’ve been with monster high since gen 1 and know what these dolls mean to us and the over the top fashion and shoes that made them a force to be reckoned with but sadly they don’t care about anything but the money

So… do MH collectors ever get tired of making stuff up to be offended about? And yet I’m guessing they’re still defending scalpers like they gain something from it. If all MH dolls look like this I wouldn’t’ve waited over a decade to get them, but I’ve recently realized I’m probably one of the only people here solely because they are monsters.
