This is one of my favorite patterns to do on leather while also being very simple to do. This is a great project for beginners and It only requires some basic tools that you'll need around if you are going to get into leather tooling. let me know if you have any questions in the comments down below!

  • Just found your vids Jake & enjoying them very much. I've come to leather work later than most so look for all sorts of assistance. Yours are one of the most helpful I've found. Your video work, explanations & manner of speaking are very clear. Keep them coming please.

  • I use a double beveled save time and works great, no guesswork

    • I think having a flat side to the bevel helps get better definition for what I do but that makes sense. All personal preference

    • It’s a little misleading on the audio from the video so it doesn’t sound exactly like that in person. But having a very stable surface and a maul like the Barry king does help get a crisp sound when tooling

  • Steep bevel or standard?

    @mattd3259@mattd32592 жыл бұрын
    • I have a steep but either will do, the main point of the bevel here is to give room for the thumbprint to come in and add detail

    • Great video, I noticed that you have a boss stitching machine, you should make a video on that, I m undecided either to spend on that type or a cobra class
