In the era of shammi kapoor,natural expressions were used by singers like md Rafi (who sang the majority of songs for shammi kapoor). This style by arijit singh is totally rubbish and disgusting. Md Rafi style can only be brought back by Sonu Nigam

    • I'm not talking about the music. It's blatantly modern and has little 50s/60s influence. And no, I have photos of my family in India in the late 1960s and 70s. While the men's clothing could work, I have photos of female relatives in the 1960s and 70s and they definitely weren't wearing clothing like what's featured on the song. If the movie was set in 1961 the clothing would make sense but by 1971 dresses like that with petticoats would've been considered old fashioned. If you look at any Bollywood film from the late 60s and early 70s you'll see that the female characters are wearing more modern clothing.
