  • It's amazing how we go through life taking things like pens for granted, not really giving any thought to the science and manufacturing process behind it. Thanks for this fascinating and informative video.

    • I actually have 2 Bic pens that miraculously have stayed with me (?!) that are completely out of ink. They are now in a position of honor in my office - in a picture frame on the wall. What are the odds?

  • It's been said, to make a Bic lighter, it cost .002 cents, not in dollars and this was 15 years ago, to produce a lighter. I'm sure they also have a high overhead cost but still!

  • I understand that ballpoint pens are cheap and easy to use for most, but in hindsight, they're also a significant cause of plastic littering, as tons of them end up in landfills every single year (if they make it that far). It's a shame they are still being sold in such enormous quantities when there are so many better alternatives that can be used over and over again.

    • The Health Care Industry is by far the biggest user of disposable plastic products. And how would you ever change that?

      @MrPLC999@MrPLC9996 күн бұрын
    • @@MrPLC999 So, you're saying that because one industry creates plastic waste, it's okay for others to do it too? I'm not saying lowering the use of disposable pens alone will solve the entire world's problem with plastic, but at least there exists an alternative for that, unlike for the healthcare industry. Since you 'seem' to be all-knowing, why don't you tell the world how we should solve the issue of disposable plastic?
