Im born and bred in Australia but... My parents are not only Portuguese but from Madeira as well. I have always been a United fan from when I was growing up in the Eric Cantona era. He was my favorite player growing up early teens along with Van Basten. My dad produced this picture from the news paper. And showed me this lad that had just signed to united with another player (cleberson I think). Told me he us Madeirense and we'll see how he goes. 16 years later the joy that iv had watching this man is hard to describe. The inspiration he has given me in my life with things unassociated with football, wen I was in a bad state. He is an extraordinary footballer but as a person he is something else. Can't hide his emotions so he wears his heart on his sleeve doesn't shy away from anything just tells it as he sees it. I could go on forever. I think I'll cry the day he retires I'm getting watery eyes just thinking about when his gone from football. Long live Cristiano Ronaldo

I keep hearing all these stories about his work ethic and honestly I feel like he’s the Kobe Bryant of football. He can literally do everything but his strongest asset is scoring just like Kobe. They both score the most ridiculous circus shot goals and ppl call him tapnaldo or penaldo but being in the right spot at the right time is a skill not luck. Making PK’s which is probably the most pressure individually a player can face in football is a skill also. When he misses I’m so surprised. With that said tho gimme Mario balloteli if I have one PK to save my life. R9 second , and cr7/zlatan would be my next pics. IMO cr7 is the best scorer in football history because he can score anyway you want. R9 is the only guy I think you can make a case is a more complete goal scorer but the fact cr7 played as a winger for almost his whole career and has all these goals is a testament to his tenacity and goal scoring prowess. We are blessed to be able to watch one of the GOAT. EASILY top 3-5 alltime IMO.
