David Graeber is the most underrated thinker on planet earth.
Wrong Boys knock it out of the park
35:57 "If work is suffering that proves your value as an adult, then anything you get out of work...makes it less valuable, right? So if work is fun or interesting.. it's less valuable. And it gets to the point that even the knowledge - that your work is valuable or benefiting other people - is a form of gratification, which means your work is worth less." "Benefiting society is its own reward, you don't need to be paid as well"
Glad I'm managing my YT feed to get the good nutrients like these podcasts of yours!
Same just started doing the same thing with my feed this year :3
rest in peace King😭😭😭😭
Idk if it's intended, but the title and thumbnail kinda work together funnily in German, as "Graeber" (or "Gräber") means digger and the pic shows someone digging :D
My boss keeps a bunch of employees just to stroke his ego.
BUYSSSWORTHH
I especially liked the supervisor of the young lobsters reference.
"Unreality" that's a good way to put it
Great stuff
Good Job
Shadow good work real stuff got done undoing the spiritual crisis
I've worked for duct tape managers who have that exact same attitude as is the sketch. It was like having deja vu listening to this. What is wrong with these sorts of managers. Are they on some sort of power trip?
Because if all the problems were fixed they wouldn't have a job either. If no duct tape workers then no duct tape worker managers
The ones I’ve had usually don’t value your time and/or don’t believe they can obtain the resources or support to do the real fix
No, just consuming shame.
This became Kissing Asmr real quick 😂
Love the brick joke!
Almost made it through the podcast before I realized I'm a duct taper - I may actually be helping people at my job but only because the system is so bad 🙃
You should add, "They are wrong" :3
😮
