Such a wonderful video. I am sorry about the loss of the two little ones. It’s good that you show the good along with the unfortunate things that happen. It’s never easy especially when trying to build your herd. As always, love the scenery and beautiful music.
Thank you
@@seanthesheepman5845 you’re so very welcome.
Sean you are so caring and this makes my day. Thank you. 🐶🙋♀️
Sean you are a very good shepherd. You really care about your sheep. Thank you I hope your flock grows.
What a lovely video, despite the loss of the tiny girls... Here in Portugal, we can't leave sheep alone in a field like this at all, due to the (re-introduced) Iberian Wolf population and an abundance of stray dogs. So, shepherds have flock protection dogs that stay with the flock in their absence. A couple of years ago, we lived in a rental with pasture land, but no fences. When the local shepherd brought his flock for land clearing, sometimes, he'd go run errands in town whilst my young flock dog (an Estrela Mountain Dog) and I watched over the herd, me sitting down, and her close to me, but always facing the animals. Sometimes, she'd hear a barking sound nearby from neighboring dogs, and - even though she was never taught to do this - my young Estrela dog would take off running and barking as she went, but she wouldn't go through the herd and disturb the animals. Instead, she circled around the herd, went to see if another dog was getting too close, and if there wasn't another dog, she'd come straight back to me. During these charges to look for threats, she didn't come when called; in her mind, protecting that flock had priority. Very fascinating to watch the genetics of a flock dog / herding dog unfold. Unfortunately, that same herd got decimated one night when they were in their pen right above our property - the local wolf pack had come down the mountain that night and killed and eaten 12 sheep and goats, and in the morning, we found the remnants. Our dogs went wild during that night, so they must have realized what went on. After this, that Shepherd got himself an adult flock guardian Mastiff who would always stay with the flock, but realistically with these large packs of wolves here, a single dog is likely to get injured or killed by the wolves, which is why shepherds with large animal populations run 4 - 6 larg flock protection Mastiffs (Portugal has 4 flock protection breeds: Estrela Mountain Dog, Laboreiro Dog, Transmontano Mastiff, and Alentejo Mastiff)
Fascinating account! Thank you!
This video was just brilliant; from beginning to end, seeing the new baby lamb, you catching it's mother, swinging her around to upend her to check her, to the small tragedy of the dead twins, to the triumph of the live twin's birth. I loved every minute of it, TOTAL drama. 🥰🥰🥰 Oh yes, the music was so appropriate, at times the singer's vibratto sounded like a sheep - baaaa!!🐑
New born lambs make such a sweet sound. You know your sheep, Sean.
We have missed you, Sean & Stacey, during your lambing season on the farm. You must be so happy to have some sweet lambs among your own flock. Thank you so much for sharing this! I am so impressed by your ease and knowledge with your sheep. Very sad about the lambs that didn't make it, though. Hope mama is doing okay!! Your rhododendron is stunning, by the way! Best to you both, to the pups and to your sheep! Have a great week!
Thank you hope your week is good too
You two are perfect for keeping wooly's, so gentle and knowledgeable. Me I'd'a kissed the little one square twix his horn buds and every single sheep in me custody would've be named, but that'sa person wit a heart fer'a soul that is. Softer than their downy be I. Noticed yer breath be smokin, here it's already near 90° aye me. Thank ya heartily fer sharing this treasure moment!
Thanks 😊
Thanks for such a thorough explanation of your process with each of these births. I also love hearing all the birds in the background. :)
I’ve watched all your videos. This is my first comment. You entertain and educate with wonderful videos. I’m so glad to see your flock growing and to see your beautiful wife (and Storm) helping out. Much luck to you and your wife on your journey with growing your human family. Looking forward to more of your videos.
Thank you
This is your best video to date! Watching from New York.
😃
My gg-grandfather and his ancestors were Scottish shepherds. Your videos have given me new respect for those hardy men who lived outdoors for most of their working lives, on foot with their dogs. Thanks Sean
So wonderful that you have your first lambs! Congratulations. It’s always so amazing how quickly they get on their feet, and start hopping around. Adorable! The music was great, too. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Thank you
Great. Video! It shows that the animals do need human help!!
Didn't think this channel could get any better, but now we have sweet little lambs!
I am new to your videos, sooo glad I found them! This video was a beautiful watch!! Watching from Kalamazoo, Michigan USA
Thank you
Hey, I was born and raised just outside of Kazoo! (TX township, but our address said Kalamazoo). On east coast now
@@LindaC616 nice… my uncle John lives at Texas Corners! (You should know that area) Small world!
@sheri9186 haha! If he's been there more than 25 yrs, I might know him! I grew up on the lake. My aunt married a Dragicevich, he grew grapes and other fruit for Welch's. My mom's parents were on Eagle Lake, then sold and went into the farmhouse across from my aunt and uncle. And my paternal grandmother was a couple of miles away. It's been yrs, but I think it was R Ave

Thank you very much for such an informative video!🖤🤍🇨🇦
Such a beautiful moment to watch. You are indeed a very good shepherd.
Thank you for sharing! I’m sorry about the two that didn’t survive. It’s always sad when that happens. I enjoyed watching the other lambs jumping around!
Enjoyed every minute of the video, Sean, and it's heartening for me to see the care and attention you give to the creator's beautiful creatures. Best to Stacey.
It was very good seeing your beautiful wife ❣ you are a blessed man ❣ so happy for you lambing 3 new healthy fur babies 🐾❣. Stay thankful 🙏💯
Thanks you too
New life. Just love your videos. Blessings to you & your wife
I am a townie and know nothing about sheep farming so this is very interesting to me so thanks for taking the time to make the videos. The lambs are adorable and to me as a townie it looks too cold and treacherous out there for those babies!!! I would be having them in the house infront of a nice warm fire!!
Just wonderful. I’m a politics junky, in America. It’s oct. 15 when I’m watching this. Sean, you make the sadness and fear better, for a few minutes. Thank you.
I live in farming/ranching country in Idaho, USA, and love the spring when my neighbors have little lambs, calves, foals and llama babies playing in the fields and chasing after mama. Thank you for caring so much for all the animals in your world!
Hello . Nice to see you 👍🏻
Blessing of 3 new additions to your flock! Way to go Sean!!! And the girls of course.
Oh Sean…your a great Sheepsman. Bless you for overseeing the safety, and additional care each may need for a healthy life. I know out in the wild things are different, but under your care and watchful eye these little guys and Momma are very lucky to have you.
Thanks for you kind words
Thank you for this great introduction to lurchers. Monty appears a wonderful loving sweetie. You presented great criteria on whether they might be or not be a great fit for a family. Thankful Monty has you all as his family and hope others find the same kind of wonderful understanding homes that will fully appreciate them for the great dogs and companions they are!
Glad you have three new and healthy additions to your flock. Hoping for warmer weather soon 🤞🏼
Sorry about the two lambs lost, Sean. Stacy, seems like you know your way around a sheep yourself!
Enjoyed your video and Thanks for taking such great care of your flock, the wee ones are adorable..
Thanks for sharing. It is exciting to see your herd growing.
Brilliant! Best of luck with your lambs and mothers. Great vid❤
Thanks for the update to your side of sheep farming. I’ve never been around sheep (or cows) or a working farm for that matter. Love seeing this side of it in such a beautiful country. Those lambs dancing beside their moms brings such a big smile, especially after losing the other two babes. Any clue what happened at all? This was a great start to Monday morning… thanks again from Nashville Tennessee…👍🏻👋🏻
By far, one of my favorite videos on this channel! Beautiful! Thanks for sharing.
Enjoyed your filming- you have a common sense approach for your lambs- thank you!
I'm learning so much from you honey and you wife is adorable
Ohhh, my little heart cant take it 🥺😍
WOW this is a wonderful video to watch.,,,,emotional and educational.. thanks for sharing this.
Thank you, Sean, for such a great introduction to the lambing.
You're a good shepherd
Sean, I am glad to see that you have chosen the hardy Hebridean breed for your flock, insuring that this breed carries on despite economic pressures to move into the more meatier breeds. They have graced the hills of Scotland for centuries and with help from people like you, they will continue to do so.
I am so glad I found your KZhead site….
This video took me back to my youth on our cattle ranch and the birthing of the calves. I loved helping my Dad and learned so much! Miss him and the ranching life… 💜
Thank you Sean, your videos are so interesting. You always stay so calm, beautiful job. Love all your videos.
OK well this was just precious !! but also so sad to hear about the babies who didnt make it . they do seem small but glad you explained, sorry Sean. What an amazing outcome with two more lambs being born ! WOW ! Thank you so much for this experience and so happy you were there to help mom out. A wonderful busy time for you :) they are all beautiful !
I enjoyed watching the lamb jumping around.
Love your videos, Sean. Who is singing in the background? What an amazing voice.
Yes, I'd like to know, too!!!
Love watching your podcasts , thanks to you & Stacy for all your hard work and sharing your life with us.
It's great to see the ewes and their lambs on the green field. Beautiful countryside. Too bad on losing two, but that is what farming is. All the other lambs are looking strong. It's handy to have a pen in the corner to watch the new lambs if they're struggling, and Mom and baby can bond.
Yeah the pen was a good choice
As always!!! Beautiful and amazing videos! Super educational ❤
So blessed to have found your channel. I’m starting my day with watching your video….. and, of course, ….coffee!☕️
awwww so precious, you moved as fast as Echo catching mama!!!
Thank you for sharing this with us! ❤
I really really love to see this 🙏🏼I have never been this close to sheeps ❤️ To see them having their babies 🙏🏼 Fantastic ❤️Love your way of working❤️
Oh wow!! How awesome! I’ve never seen a Lamb born….I love life! I love babies of anything….God is good….
Loved this video. So sorry you lost the set of twins. Hard to take but thankful toward the end as I was laughing at the lambs playing. 💖👍🇺🇸
Thanks *Sean!* I've said it before: I consider farming "hard" but 2:00 11:00 cutest scenes in all of your videos _.. Congratulations - _Nature made good after all_
Sean, that was a beautiful video, I am so glad you made it to share. It shows the amount of work you do to have a flock. I can only imagine how it must have been with the larger flock lambing and how busy that would have kept you. Perhaps dumb question, the two that didn’t survive, do you have any idea why they would not have? I remember you say they probably died before birthing so am curious what can happen as this effects growing the herd. You are a hard working man and appreciate the time you spend sharing your life with us. Take care, stay healthy!
Hi Sean… so sad your twin lambs didn’t make it. I love your Sheep Dogs & your tiny new lambs. Thank you for sharing the beautiful & picturesque countryside. 🐑🐏🐑🐑🐑🐕 ✨Wishing you Blessings✨
Wow. What an amazing video of the lambing! Thanks for sharing!
Awww I love seeing the babies and their mamas! The herd is growing 🎉
Omg…the baby Lambs are so cute! The one wasn’t scared of you at all it seemed….so sweet…
It is so wonderful to see the lamb and their Mom! Thank you for sharing with us. You are n awesome sheepman❤️

Hey Sean!! Congratulations on the babies!!❤❤❤ That little boy is rambunctious, gonna be fun watching them grow!
Your videos are very educational about border collies and sheep.
Hello, Sean! I’m Donna, from Plainfield, Indiana USA. I enjoy watching channels like yours. Are you close to Dalscone, in the south? I love watching them, too. ♥️🙏♥️
You take such great care of all of them! Loved the video!
What a sweet video.
Great video! Thanks! Love those cute lambs and the care you take with them!
Sorry for your loss of lambs. Beautiful gray sky in the background while storm was working.
Great video, I have learned a lot about sheep and border collies watching your videos
You rock as a shepard!! I was impressed with how you nipped in with your crook, and grabbed the ewes by their horns! And very knowledgeable, saving the last little one. Loved the birds and green grass as always. Say hi to Stacy the shepardess (?) and Storm the eager❤
Great work!
I was wondering if there were any predators that could threaten the newborn lambs there. I had no idea a fox could be a threat. Not much of a country girl here, though I’d love to be. Congratulations on your new little lambs growing your flock. Very informative and educational video, and as others have said, the music is just brilliant.
Congratulations on the lambs! 2 new ewes for future. 😊
Enjoyed watching this video, I felt as though I was right there with you on the farm, congratulations to both you and Stacy on your new lamb additions, and I'm sorry for the loss of the li'l twin lambs,
Very Nice, Made Me Happy To Watch! ....GOOD VIBES!😉....🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Cute little buggers
My favorite video! Nature is harsh and beautiful at the same time. Thank you.

Very cute stuff
Leaping lambs … too cute
Loved this video completely..great music, happy lambs and Sean you are so careful and gentle and never seem too speedy...just gentle & relaxed..
Good news! They are so cute.
That is life and that is death something that goes hand in hand for farming. Nature does what it needs to do. Thank you for this video, very cute lambies. Stay safe
This video was really informative! Congratulations on three new lamps within a year. Hope they are all doing well. Great job, Sean! Thank you.
beautiful lambs! congratulations!
So sweet 💕 thx for the Video
Heart breaking and heart warming ❤❤❤❤
What a lovely video. Thank you for sharing!
Wonderful!
What a great video. Thank you
How nice to see those three tiny lambs in the field!
maybe I missed it but Id love an update on your Hibrideans as we get into summer. Thanks always for your postngs.❤
Greetings all the way from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. I have learned a lot from your videos. Thank you for the window into an entirely different way of living in a completely different climate. Amazing skill set for so young a man. Best wishes in your endeavours!
Beautiful. Babies of any kind... ❤ ... and your little flock grows. Tapadh leat! I saw a show recently that featured a newborn "Soay" ram lamb. The presenter said the Soay is a Hebridean breed. Are you familiar with them? They sure have beautiful coloring, but in your ag show episode, there was one breed that was a bright goldenrod! I had no idea there was so much diversity in sheep. Maybe, when it comes to "norms" on Earth, there aren't any! 😅 🥰🌍🌎🌏 And, I'd like to know if Kate is only one who gives YOU boops...
Congratulations on the new additions!! And very cool to see the birth on camera too :-)
Excellent!
