When I passed my test in the 80s a friend's dad gave me this bit of advice.. treat every other driver on the road as if they are a complete idiot and you won't go wrong.. These videos kind of prove him right!😆
words I live by today
Good advice
It's always a special delight to see the weekend warriors in their 4x4s, who've waited all year for a 2 ft deep puddle to appear and are now smugly satisfied, falling victim to the ford. All that vindication for behaving like a total moron all year is swept away like so much water down a slightly swollen stream. Your videos are very appreciated, thank you.
It’s even more satisfying knowing that they spent more on their car than most folks home only to hydrolock it!
I agree always satisfying to see the "one life live it" brigade screw up in their puddle splashers
@@Bond2025 4wd, comfort, Turbo engines, build quality.
I used to do off roading, I had I fourtrak. And yes I fully agree the Land Rover people are a special breed 😂 £££££££ and then they break My fourtrak ran rings around them and never broke, or flooded 😂
@@Dan23_7 That is so true.
Imagine being pissed off you've just broken your expensive car and a bunch of people are laughing and filming you 🤣
It's funny how people don't get two things: 1. Engine doesn't like water. It needs air. If you floor it, it needs a LOT of air. 2. You can't drive 4381 km/h to deep water, it definitely shatters your plastic car.
The engine needs good electronic data as well. I think 50 percent of the cars fail by an drowned engine computer and the other half hydrolocked.
@@ronaldderooij1774 most will just be a water logged air filter
the Teslas go through fine, but if the water seeps into the battery, it's bye bye later.
@@ronaldderooij1774 bent cylinder rod=new engine
Gotta love the sheer gusto. I salute you, those who will trash their cars for our viewing pleasure. Please, go even faster! Wheee!
Are these cars / vehicles basically wrote off ? Can’t believe the idiocy of some people
They just keep on coming, they will never learn !
How many stolen?
@@upthereds4939 not write offs but will cost a few quid to get all the water out
@@upthereds4939 Yes, water is sucked in the air intake, into the cylinders... Causes hydraulic lock, bends con rods breaks pistons.. new engine time!
Imagine explaining to insurance that a tree fell on your car while waiting for a tow because you hydrolocked it.
That person definitely pissed off the powers to be!
they are not hydro-locked, as soon as a couple table spoons of water reaches the pistons it instantly turns to steam interrupting combustion. Off roaders call it "swamped engine", change the oil and all is fine
@@elijahmiller912 you're greatly underestimating the damage an intake full of water can do. But do your thing... 🤣
Sorry mate, it's got the rufford rattle and that's on you.
You don't tell them that " I was passing true water carefully and a tree fell and blocked and then my engine swamped"
I don't know how much damage was done during this video but I appreciate those that are willing to trash their engines to give us viewer a giggle.
quite impressed how well the little digger thing at the start was able to pull
they look little but usually weigh 2 tons + traction
@@Popk1ller if no traction with it lower blade and use arm to pull it.
@@Popk1ller I was going to say how 2 tons might be an overstatement, but you're absolutely correct! I never would have thought they could weight that much. You taught me something today sir.
More to the point is what it was pulling, massive 4 x 4s! German engineering........🤔
Hopefully at 50 quid a go.
Is anyone keeping a spreadsheet of the registration plates? That way I can avoid these cars on Autotrader. 😆
They’re all Clean, one owner vehicles!
been serviced that why it smokes lol
@@mightywatcher5894 just been valeted, carpets still damp 😜
Probably half have got a new engine? Could be a bargain?
Who still buys on AutoTrader these days?.... 😂😂 I bet you still use bebo and msn.... 😂🤦♂️
Know where your engine’s air intake is and drive at walking pace = win
Not just go slow but build a wave.
No. Just drive like a total cock and modify your engines compression ratio.
half of these clowns probably dont even know where the engine is
@@trainman665 that's the problem with these drivers they create a wave when entering the water and flood the engine etc If they enter slower and drive at a steady pace they would have made it through 🙄
@@PA-ek3ul Creating a wave is what you want. The space behind the wave (were the engine is) has a lower depth of water.
The local car repair and car sales places must love this ford being there....endless business 💷💷💷💷
After a hard day at work...I need a good laugh 😂😂😂 Thanks Tom! You're the gift that keeps giving! 🔥🔥🔥
I’m surprised these people don’t drown in their cereal bowls in the morning or need someone to remind them to breathe
This is where the hillbilly lifted trucks in America would come in handy.
The roads over there can be quite narrow. Would probably be a nightmare trying to drive a big truck over there.
Must be funny to explain to your boss that you have written off the company's 21 plate van by flooding it
they'd just lose out on the rest of the days wage while insurance pays for a new van. boss will use it to embarrass you.
@@unexpectedpotato1184 you didnt deliver parcels ya fucked
Like any insurance company is going to be paying out for any of these. 2 seconds search on KZhead and they are in the clear.
@@unexpectedpotato1184 No, a flooded van is an uninsured van. And it's driver is now underemployed.
Can we please take some time to appreciate the abilities of that little bulldozer....
Grey Defender guy, while doing a good service pulling that tree out, needs to lock his centre diff. That rear wheel spin will strip the splines on his output shaft.
Now that sounds painful.
Even the tree didn’t want people to cross…
The nature is trying to stop idiotic people
Land Rover ✅ Snorkel ✅ Super heavy shoes that only know "Gas, Gas Gas!" ✅
I Like it the Most, when there are Car parts gently floating on the water 😄👍
Why does everyone think that driving at it fast will help them through? If the water goes over the bonnet its going in your air intake.
Because they're trying to splash the spectators.
What’s about when it rains heavily
No, they are all to slow! You need to go so fast that the car slides over the water
All sorts of damage could be caused. Like ripping your engine undertray off.... not speaking from experience or anything.

The second I see the start of a clip with a BMW I tell myself "Oh no no no no PepeLaugh". It's like...Magic. Beautiful.
A local road in my area got flooded because a water main burst. I had to go down that road to get to work. After watching these videos you can bet your life I went through that water on the road SLOWLY! And I survived!
Thanks again for posting Tom. More rain on way over from the Atlantic, more trouble for any foolish motorist who dares to take on that Ford.
But the real question is why they don’t block it off
The human brain never fails me with Its stupidity 😂😂😂
Is it wrong that when it’s a BMW that gets stuck, my smile is wider than the grinch! 🤣
That mini digger was 💪
It seems that while money (borrowed money?) can buy a nice car it can't buy common sense.
You should see people who own boats!
signing your name on a sales contract doesnt mean your smart
@ Roger W - there’s a strong correlation between lack of intelligence, lack of taste and the subsequent choice to drive vehicles you pay for monthly…. Thick chavs the lot of them 😂
@@rogerw-interested it just means you can write your name !
Common sense should be reclassified as a super power !
Every 4wd training session recommends when crossing a river....find the nearest bridge and use that..even if 10 miles away. From someone who has successfully crossed a wide river with the interior flooding up to the bottom of the seats (for traction) and the upstream water to the door handles.
Jeep manuals also instruct you to first walk it, if you have to water ford. Muddy water can be of unknown depth and contain surprises.
Simply Amazing....they think they bought a Boat..but find out it is a Car that is now Hydrolocked...thanks...Tom
"DON'T DO IT!!!" I am yelling at front of my computer
Its nice to see the 4x4s always on standby waiting for someone to fail in the rufford lol
Never ceases to amaze me how many drivers seem to want to wreck their engines , haven’t they watched the videos?
dummvolk
The Jeep at 06:52 has a snorkel and seems high enough to cross without problems. But manages to create a splash wave big enough to reach the snorkel entry and hydrolock it anyway. Brilliant move! 😂
most of these arent hydrolocked you bellend
@@James28R Difficult to see only after watching the video, but it stopped so it might have got water in the engine.
I wonder how many of these people realized they hydro-locked their engine and will need a replacement?
It's so funny when they charge through like Johnny big-balls but then park up a short way along the road as they know they just fudged something.
Killing a Land Rover in two feet of water takes special brain power.
Ive noticed its either as fast as you can and flood it or go in slowish panick and speed up and flood it 😂
Well, the tree was something new :)
i could watch this all day

Awesome… I’ve been saying it but I’m definitely visiting one weekend soon.
Bet there's a load of very busy engine centres around there, the wetter months must be brilliant for business!😁
A little bit of rain and the chaos continues…..at what point will they get it into their brains and go slowly through the water or even reverse through it,maybe it should be a driving test requirement because the insurance companies won’t like this….”I’m sorry I hydro locked my car/van because I’m thick and because someone was filming me it made me go fast”😂 🤣🤣😅😂,I’m not perfect but and I don’t profess to be,but I have common sense at least. Great video as always👍👍👍
No the insurance won't like it you drove in the ford you pay the bill you caused the fault.
Can't wait to see the next vids, here in south wales the weather is mad with stong winds and bad rain. I don't no much about cars as i don't drive but would you have the same problem if you reversed the car into the water sorry to ask a daft question. Also are the guys with the mini digger council workers as they always seem to be in alot of the vids.IF YOU FLOOD IT THEY WILL COME.
Nice video 👍 a lot of fails this time.
Awesome video Tom can't wait for the next video to come out
As a defender owner myself, that lad shoulda put it in difflock lol would have made all the difference he needed
He's bought that as a lifestyle vehicle so don't expect him to know how to use it. He'll have been nursing a semi while getting to tow something.
@@cockpiss9260 probably too lazy to put it in diff, I'd probably be too lazy myself

I just love this channel 😊🤣
This is truly like a fight arena . Some will leave this place at own and some will nead to be transported away 🤪
Hahaha best one yet
Keeps the engine builders busy!
I laugh so hard every time I watch these videos
In Leningrad, Russia, there is a so-called «Bridge of Stupidity». It has been around for hundreds of years. It passes under the road. And it seems that all drivers know about it, but no, every day someone crashes cars passing under it. The paradox 🤷♂️
Check out the 11’8 bridge on KZhead! It’s called ”the can opener” for a reason, and has it’s own channel.
The fails are why we watch. Got to be a very bad driver to kill a Chelsea Tractor!
I love these videos and every time I watch I go - why do they do it?
That mini tractor is powerful !!
Life Lessons: 1) Never drive a BMW 2) Always drive a Land Rover
a few rovers died in this vid
3) do not floor through a ford and if you dont know , don't go
Rufford Ford is always a good advert for the British Defender!
I love this channel so much.
Those Mercedes Sprinter vans really don't like a puddle.
Air intakes are normally around the top of the front grill (at least in utes - looking at the poor Navarra) so if the water is going to cover that grill, you need a snorkel. . . or a dumb insurer.
The bow-wave of death!
Landrover, really saving the day over there
Can't believe the speed that some of these are taking; there's going to be trouble.
Its great to see you have dickheads there as well. We get them in Australia too. Fast speed low air intake. Yep looks like 10,000 to $25,000 dollars to fix. depending on what you drive.
C'est un bon endroit pour ouvrir une société de dépannage 😊 !
Haha I'm guessing water is coming up in the wheel well and soaking the air filter 🤣
Who else is shouting “You helmet” at every one of these tools that accelerated through the puddle forcing water over their bonnets 😂
Everytime I see a BMW/Merc/Audi/LRover/Jaguar getting stuck: "Oooh, that's gonna be expensive!"
I wonder what the going rate for a tow is!
Fair play to that Land Rover. pulling that big tree to the side.
Can’t wait for tomorrow
Is this like a spot people like to come to total their cars? Like, “honey I’m bored, let’s go see how much the insurance will pay for our car”
A lot of vehicles have their air intakes just behind the headlight... If the water can get to the headlight...it can get into the intake...and the engine.
Cancel your cable subscription. This is way better then anything on tv. !
The bloke in the blue Landy was the best... definitely more money and testosterone than brain cells!
I’ve always said that rich people become stupid because they never have to do anything themselves - they just pay for it. This means they never learn how anything works. This video seems to prove that point.
Could do a compilation alone on Merc vans breaking down !! Every vid there’s one. They’re shite😂

I think there's an alternative route that only adds 5 minutes to the journey.
