Ikrr! it's really disappointing to see when they have both the money and resources to be able to do that. This year especially was really really disappointing because the theme was so straightforward.

the first headpiece was everything, would’ve been perfect for the theme, nonetheless she looked beautiful, i did love the butterflies 🦋 and there’s a back story to them. so many people went and didn’t follow theme which is also ok, im sure everyone is there to have a good time and look good regardless.

it did fit the theme though. it was inspired by a debutante ball where a bunch of dead butterflies (supposed to be alive but were put too close to a heat lamp) were released on to the debutantes. also a shakespeare quote

She only did that when she was talking to the camera, which was barely a few minutes out of probably at least 1 hour of makeup

Billie Eilish has spoken about Synesthesia for years, even did an entire art experience for her fans where every room in the place matched the colours that she experienced while making the songs on one of her albums. If I remember correctly Lorde also has it, and has spoken about it in interviews before, and both of them have been around for years longer than Olivia so I'm not sure why you say "finally". And I'm sure there were other artists years before them that have it too.
