  • Owned a Hellcat, sold it and now own a ZL1 and I gotta say the ZL1 is superior in every way possible. Hellcats are fun but you can't take them serious, they are just a novelty. All that HP but no traction and handling got old super fast.

    • ​@@ggdonn146nah not rlly. The handling on cameros is rlly good. And they good for track races too the traction is good. In a 1/4 mile drag race a hellcat takes it I get it. But in terms of overall handling, traction, smoothness and just fun to drive zl1 takes the cake. It's also cheaper

  • Camaro anytime anywhere. Power to weight ratio. Hellcat weighs 4,000lbs and the Camaro weighs 3,400lbs but even tho the hellcat has more power the Camaro is lighter so it’ll go faster down the track but it also depends on the driver too. And the transmission never over look the the way driver runs his car and never over look the transmission bc that’s another big factor in racing

    • @@iilagz you can make a 2015 5.0 faster than a hellcat on a drag strip for less than 15k in mods. I saw a 5.0 going for about 20k on marketplace so. IMO hellcats are not worth it for the *current* price.

U can build a civic for 25k to gap a 100k gt500.. does that make the civic better than the gt500 he’ll nah I’ll still take that Shelby over any built civic

    • @@FastAsfBoiii. that’s true to a certain extent, they have lots of issues with the cam phasers and I’ve heard they are not as strong as the LS engine blocks either when comparing engine block to engine block, LS wins.

    • @@PerformanceStreetRacingI agree with you completely on that. The dodge is also a much easier car to steal although thieves are pretty darn good. They got my car in less than 10 minutes while I went in to use a bathroom and grab a drink at a gas station. I miss my ZL1. I just hope I can get my hands on another one once all the insurance crap clears

  • Lotta factors here, it looks hot, what is the da, has either car made a pass or is the blower cool, do either have any weight reduction? All that and much more has to be taken into account when figuring which car is faster. If they are both fresh and on a tire the Zl1 wins 6 out of 10 passes with an equal driver and neither of these has someone who can cut a light so it can be anyone’s race.

    • Camaro has the worse field of view out of them both, worse head space, anyone 6’0+ can’t sit comfortably in a Camaro like they can in a challenger. Heavier? Yes but you can be comfortable, have better vision, smoke zl1’s and look good all at the same time? Sign me up

I guess they don't smoke the ZL1 after all , that being said I see ZL1 beat the 717 hp hellcat all the time , I guess that extra 67 hp isn't enough to make up for nearly 400 pounds of extra fat.

Chevy and ford couldn’t stick to their roots and be exactly that and they turned into pony track cars. I can tell you know nothing of cars cause why the hell would you put a drag oriented straight line car on a course??
