i expected you to talk about BIOS tweaks to get more power to the CPU. also more Hz (refresh rate) doesn't mean more quality, probably less actually since the GPU is working harder on screen updates

Hi, does a conflict occur between the windows power plan settings and Nitrosense settings? For example, if window power plan is set up to balanced and Nitrosense is set up to performance or turbo, does Nitrosense override the windows setting?

Only question I have is when I click on NVIDIA control panel I don’t have an option to change screen settings? Only option is 3D settings? Great video though… have subbed!
Thank you. More ram will definitely help. They should be in there you may need to update the nividia drivers

I tried alot of the things in this video, at first it didnt work on rainbow six siege, then i took a look at task manager and my cpu had like 80% usage and my gpu was incredibly low so i turned my graphics up to around high and it boosted my fps from 40 to 100 these tips prolly also had a play on things though.
At least you have things working better now that’s the main thing

for the nitrosense problem getting stuck on Music and other preset I just reinstalled audio drivers and it fixed it for me
Hey what about graphics drivers so for me intel and nvidia should i update them from nvidia and intel page or just leave it bc intel driver is from 2019 so is pretty old
Hi, my question is not about gaming, but about video making with the Davinci Resolve program. I have a Nitro 5 with a Nvidia Geforce GTX graphics card. In order to use the Davinci program, you need a good graphics card. So I can't understand why the program doesn't work with the Nitro 5. It works with a computer that has a Intel Iris Xe graphics card but not my Nitro 5. Just want to know how do I get the Davinci Resolve program to work with Nitro 5?
Can I use imagine scaling when trying to use a i5 10300h an gtx 1650 laptop. Or is it for newer gpu’s. What are the requirements.

If I get a monitor for my laptop which screen is 144, should I set the external monitor to 60? Well the external monitor might not get over 60 anyway... I have had mine for 3 years though I didn't use to play on it much, but the GPU is slightly better than my pc and the CPU a lot better and I got more ram on it too...
I got the same laptop ot atleast the company acer nitro 5 but i dont have the same options i dont have the coolboost option niether the performance one what do i do to turn them on ?
first i got the same computer as you but when i turn my computer of my game mode turns off and secondly my nitro sense thing when i go on it i dont have that gaming fps i got for sound

I just buy crucial mx500 SSD 2.5 for second storage buy my Acer Nitro 5 won't boot,it just stuck at black screen.if I remove 2.5 SSD it boot normally.what should i do ??

in display settings > show display 2 or 1 only and doesnt have any better performance if you put the display like that
why is nitrosense keyboard icon missing
Bro, i want to make sure my core dont go overheat what is best settings for that? Its runing around 83° but fans dont go max.. only when reach over 90° they go to high rpm still not max.. i am afraid of damaging cores.. is that ok?
When playing heavy games, put it on max from the start

You can leave them plugged it most of the time but it is good to let the battery discharge and recharge to keep the cells healthy

Ash your videos have been really helpful & you seem to know your stuff I have a couple questions for you because I’m seeing different answers online about what to do.. I just recently purchased a Acer Nitro 5 AN517-52 This is the specs: 17.3 inch 1080p 120hz Intel Core i7 10750H 8GB Ram 2600 Mhz 256GB SSD Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 (Processor Generation Intel Core 10th Gen) Hexa-Core I’ve never gamed or owned a Windows laptop before but I’ve done a lot of Googling & reading & I’ve watched a lot of KZhead videos to see how to use it at its best & set it up I kept hearing/seeing about adding Ram like a 2x8gb kit or a 2x16gb kit I want to go with a 2x16gb kit like you have but online tho I’m seeing & reading different questions/answers & information Some people say the Acer Nitro 5 needs 2666 mhz & some people say it can handle 3200 mhz So.. Question 1. What works & what do you advice? (Personally I was thinking the 3200 mhz) Question 2. Does Ram brand matter? I’ve seen Kingston, Corsair, Vengeance something, Ballistic something, & plain looking The laptop comes with Windows 10 so I did the start up etc Then I used the device manage to check to see if drivers for the Intel & RTX 3060 had any updates there was none So I downloaded a game (RS) & when I loaded it up it said your graphics drivers are x amount of days old & it gave me a update button in game When I clicked the button it took me to the Nvidia website so I put in my specs GeForce 30 series RTX 3060 etc bla bla bla It said there was an update for the driver & an app called Geforce experience so I downloaded both It then showed on the GeForce experience app that my RTX 3060 driver was up to date I then went back to the game (RS) the old graphics driver message was gone but I remembered seeing or reading online about updating Intels too So I went to Intels website & looked for updates I downloaded the Intel driver assistant it said that there was updates for my Intel driver so I did the updates But on one of the Intel updates it showed a warning sign ⚠️ & said: Intel Graphics DCH Drivers: Installing this graphics driver from Intel may remove customisations from your computer manufacturer (OEM) If you have a 6th Generation Intel processor or higher, your computer manufacturer’s customisations will remain intact after upgrading to this graphics driver So I did the update thinking it’s the best thing to do but I did a lot more reading online & I noticed a lot of people was saying on different posts & forums that you shouldn’t update your Intel drivers On certain websites they recommend you do & on others websites (like people asking questions or having issues a lot of people commenting said you shouldn’t update your Intel driver because it messes with graphics & performance because instead of the dedicated graphics card getting used while gaming instead the Intel gets used etc So now I don’t know whether I should factory reset the laptop as I’ve only just set it up so it doesn’t matter to me to do that I just want the best graphics & performance & I think the RTX 3060 will outperform the Intel 7 So I’m just not sure what to do to be honest like I said I’m reading & seeing different information it’s kind of confusing Questions 3. What do you think? What do you do? I’ve also got a tech friend who said don’t go to the websites & manually update the drivers Windows 10 will do all that for you when it does updates He also said don’t upgrade to Windows 11 as its more buggy So Questions 4. Do you update your Intel Drivers manually or not? Does it matter? Does it affect performance? Question 5. Does it stop your dedicated graphics card in my case the RTX 3060 from being used more? & Questions 6. I’ve read/seen online a lot about getting updates from the Acer website like chipset & this & that etc basically download & install it all? Can you tell me what’s best to do? I’m totally new to Laptops & Windows.. I’ve never gamed on one before I mostly would play Xbox then & again which is easy & simple to use The only PC game I’ve played is RS & I’ve played that very rarely over the years on my MacBook Pro So please Ash answer these questions I think there’s loads of people out there who purchase a Acer Nitro 5 or Gaming Laptop or PC & have no clue on setting it up etc It doesn’t help that there’s so many mixed signals from information online either I hope to hear from you soon Thank you & Take care
Question 1 go on task manager and look at performance you will see what ram mhz you have there I’d go with 2x16 gb brand doesn’t matter too much but your Samsung and the other well known brands are best to stick with
I’ve not updated my intel drivers I’ve only updated windows from 10 to 11 and to be honest I regret doing that windows 10 was better in my opinion.
I do update the nividia drivers in ge force experience. They do work and fix bugs ect
I wouldn’t worry to much about all these types of updates upgrading your ram will help loads a cooler would be good too and playing with the settings in game will help also

I didn’t see any performance difference when I updated to windows 11
in my experience, there are some bugs here and there but it feels smoother.
I was going through the things I can run through my laptop (Nitro 5). It tells me I cant run vr, but you could. I might need some help.

Same here, only have shooter, RPG or strategy. I’ve chosen strategy as these are the types of game I play… haven’t had a chance to test it out yet and see if it works though!

I’ve herd this quite a few times unfortunately. A couple people have told me that if you delete and reinstall nitro sense this fixes the bug.

What do you mean by doesn’t work? Will they not load up? Or do they run badly? More ram would help for sure

@@AshBuilt Thanks for you reply, fixed the issue by reinstalling windows 11. The only issue I have now is my usb hubs aren’t recognized by the system. I have usb type A hub and usb C hub. Both of them hubs doesn’t work.
@@AshBuilt I installed the newest version of usb drivers, modified the battery options, but still no avail. When I plugged either usb Hubs the error that I get is this.. port reset failed error code 43

I have a nitro 5 with an i7 10th Gen cpu and a 3060 GPU. At first I thought... Wow great price. Bought it and honestly it's been disappointing. My throttles non stop. I played forza 5 and after an hour gaming it shut down the game. I tried everything. New thermal compound, thermal grizzly. Replaced compound 3 times cause I thought the compound was the issue. Set up throttle stop as well. This didn't help either. It sucks because I feel like I can't use it for games cause The performance isn't as good as I thought. I even tried cooling pads combined with the other updates. Didn't help at all. Oh u forgot to mention that I bought it new. I also know the 10th Gen cpu isn't great cause of heat issues. I just didn't it would be so bad.
you spent all these money on extra stuff you could just bought another laptop....
@@GsnaGs not really. Those extra stuff did not amount to a better laptop purchase. Nowhere near the cost of a better laptop actually.

hello, how do you connect the monitor?, through which port are you connecting the monitor, HDMI or Display port (usb-c)? I have an acer nitro 5 an55-55 and an asus vg248 144hz monitor, and it only gives me 60hz through hdmi, I have tried all the configurations, drivers, tricks, but it has not been possible to obtain 144hz. Might you help me?😀
Hello I use hdmi cable 2.1 some of the older ones like 1.4 can’t support high hz screens so I’d check what you have and go from there.

Sometimes it's about the cable. You can't get high refresh rate in low bandwidth cables. can also be a settings issue though

My acer nitro five factory reset itself and removed the nitro fan cooler slider thing and i had to reinstall the driver, turn it on, close it then it deleted itself off my laptop and its a never ending cycle except this time it stayed on and wont give me the option to turn off lol so i got the fans running 24/7 (when i use it) on which i dont mind now but i got a cooling pad nd stuff
